Tijuana Flats

First time here and it’s pretty cool. Didn’t know what to get since I never been here so I checked Unilocal for something delicious. The sever had a few things in mind but I just showed her a picture and she instantly knew what it was. I got a chimichanga, it was delicious

Get the Black Bean Flautas! They are amazing with the queso and the guacamole. Good place to go for happy hour. Outdoor seating as well.

I love Tijuana Flatts but the customer service at this location is really bad. I called ahead, arrived about 10 minutes later and still had to wait an additional 15 minutes. I found out my food was ready the entire time I was waiting. So I had soggy tacos for dinner.

I would love to give Tijuanas a better review but I just can’t. It’s bad enough that I worked at the one on 66^th st, but this service was terrible. I went in there and ordered four different items. The girls there were very unfriendly and gave all the customers an attitude that would make me never want to come back. Not to mention I know the menu inside and out and the fact that the customers don’t would bar screwed over someone who had never been there before. They forgot 6 of the sides that come with the meals that we didn’t pay for and didn’t even give us the sides we did pay for. The presentation was very unappetizing. I went back inside and had them remake everything. When I came back in the manager did not even bother to apologize for the inconvenience, while he looked like had just woken up. He was rude and looked very nervous because I knew what I was suppose to get. I would suggest not going there.

My first time here. It’s a little weird that you take a seat but then order at a walk up register and pay. You have table service but then you also have to order. I was confused. The food was ok. I do like the sauce bar where you can get all kinds so sauce. It was good.

OMG, i’m drooling just thinking about this place. Wait, maybe I was just thinking of the hot waitresses that work there. Just kidding. Obviously the high school girl look that must be required to work here is one hell of a reason to come alone. But hey, it’s not my daughter working there.
All kidding aside, the food is out of this damn world. If I were younger and stoned this place would be my Castle and I would throw singles from pervert row as I feast like a king.
I cannot say enough how great the food is… and that there must be a lot of pissed of daddy’s out there knowing their daughters wear $/”!@ outfits to work everyday!!!

Hmmm … it’s ok. Best claim to fame is all the different hot sauces. Other than that … about average.

Great burritos and even better sauces! The deals on Tuesday and Thursday are mega cheap– and regardless the staff is always VERY friendly and the sauce bar is really cool. They have 4 (or so) draft selections and a lot of bottle selections. Don’t forget about the weekly Happy Hour too!

Open until 11:00pm on Fridays? Doors locked at 10:15pm…not cool… Red Masa is going to put you out of business with that attitude…

I definitely am a fan. I am a fan of Tuesdays and Thursdays because I can get a nice meal deal really cheap from Taco Tuesdays or Burrito Thursdays. I get so excited that I typically never make it to burrito day because I am so excited to eat there again. Its such a great deal and its so close, that I find it worth going to as often as I do. The chips are nothing to be blown away by, I think they could be a little better, but dipping them in my favorite sauce makes up for the lack of flavor. I can’t go without trying all the sauces over and over again because I always forget which on I liked the last time, so its like a new experience every time I go! I really should write those names down… but for now, I will eat my fill, be merry, and enjoy the nice walk to Tijuana flats to get my discount meal on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Maybe one day I will try other stuff on the menu… maybe.

Well done T-​Flats! Another well executed Tex-​Mex. Always consistent always well priced! Taco Tuesdays are awesome. Would love to see some new menu items! But love everything! Don’t be a chicken s*it may bet the best hot sauce on the planet.

I use to go to the original Tijuana Flats when I lived in Orlando. The business was started by a few UCF college students. So, I’ve been a patron since 2006 and have visited many of their locations.
The atmosphere alone is something that everyone should try at least once. The walls and ceiling are painted with alien scenes and bumper stick sayings. My kids love it. Every location is unique this one has a patio where people stare at you at the red light. At night it’s nicer.
I’ve never had a bad experience with service. They hire young peppy people that are more than willing to smile.
The service is what I call half-​service in that you order at the counter and someone brings your food. I know this has been the trendy food industries business model for years but frankly I find it confusing when I need something else.
Okay, about the food. It’s just okay. For those of you on diets or are vegetarian, they’ve got you covered. The hot sauce bar is the rave because there isn’t much flavor otherwise.

We had the chicken salad with avocado ranch and chicken & bean tacos. Very good for $ 7! Great service! We’ll be back.

I really like this place for lunch. Today it had steady business but not too crowded. So while I always anticipate some wait but not as long as I waited. My selfless friend who ordered after me refused to eat until I got my food (I insisted she did but it wasn’t happening) and I felt horrible since my food came out over 10 – 15 minutes later.
I got a veggie quesadilla so it wasn’t a massive cooking project but perhaps they forgot. The girls were really nice working there and the food was delicious so I guess it was a one time thing. Oh well, good place for tacos, quesadillas and queso. And salsa, salsa, salsa!

Super friendly staff and really nice to my kids. Food was good and had a good atmosphere!

Went there the other night we won’t be back. so many better places here for Mexican food but if you’re looking for extremely salty food defiantly come check this place out.

I don’t know… just fair I guess. The food is usually not hot enough out of the kitchen, and often over-​seasoned. The staff is always super friendly and enthusiastic, I just wish the kitchen would learn how to melt cheese, and would taste their food before serving it. Their burrito assembly skills are also wanting. They’re often overloaded with too much over-​seasoned ground beef. One trick to rolling a consistently great burrito, is perfectly balanced ingredient portions and distribution. You want to taste a bit of everything in every bite. Theirs is always like a 7 layer dip.

THESE PEOPLE SUCK. First I come in the lil girl to take my order was having a attitude, I ordered the veggie chimichanga w rice no beans n veggie quesadilla, I finally get my meal put stupid ass beans in my order, manager comes to apologize n fixes order n then as I was eating my quesadillas I bit into something’ so unbelievably hard n it just pissed me the F off, idk if I’m jus real exhausted today or wat. But I’m aggravated af, … But I shown the manger the black hard thing n he really didn’t kno wat it was he said n explained it could have been a hardened steak piece on grill n then asked if I had veggie meal … Sigh, he gave me a free meal card n refunded me, I still think their punks n it doesn’t add up to the simply fact I jus came to feed myself bruh, sheesh … Chips weren’t even warm, I needa get sum sleep n stop bein bitchy on Unilocal,bye

Ok no this not gourmet but it’s also not fast food like taco bell but it’s still good. I guess it’s in the category of Chipolte grill or Moes grill, just a step above fast food.
I might be a little biased because I’m a condiment girl, especially things that are hot… yup I liiike it hot! That being said they have a hot sauce in every Tijuana flat. So of course, that’s a highlight for me. I do think they need to have little pencils and cards out so you mark the hot sauce you like so next time you know which one to get, kind of like a wine tasting but with a burn instead of a buzz.
I don’t go to Tjuanna flats often but when I have been then I will tell you they are top of making sure the customers are happy. They greet you at the door, they come by your table to check on and are very friendly. On this visit they were cleaning the bottoms of the table, which is nice to see that they keep that place clean. Also the cashier was very nice and helpful.
On to the food, I ordered chips and salsa, the chips were hot but I’m not a big fan or their salsa, it was ok. I also ordered the chicken soft tacos power lite with the beans and rice. I’ve never had the beans and rice but they were really good.
The only thing that I would say they could improve on, is to serve the chicken soft tacos hot. They are lukewarm and I would like the cheese to melt a little and it too be hot other then that it;s decent food.

As far as Tijuana Flats goes, this location is fantastic mainly due to the staff.
Kyle, the manager is eager to please. I use T flats for catering for work and Kyle never disappoints. His staff is always on time with the delivery, they always have a smile on their faces, and the order is always correct.
The best part, offices love the make your own taco bar that I typically order. And the guacamole? How can you not love fresh guacamole with chunks of avocado. Yum!
