Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming St. Pete

Had my zany dobbie/​rottie mix shaved here. She looks great and has no hair! Her nails were cut short and her ears were spick and span. Definitely coming back.

Love this place! The people who work here are top notch, and they took such good care of my pup while she was getting groomed. My dog is paralyzed, and they were all so sweet and loving towards her. Absolutely will be bringing her back!

This place is great! The staff is always super attentive and helpful. They’re so good with my little guy, who can be quite the terror. There seems to be all new toys every time I go. I will be a regular here for a long time.

Absolutely can not get enough of this place! FANTASTIC new ownership since July of 2014, they really do a good job of catering to everyone’s needs. As an owner of a pug, Catahoula Leopard dog, and mini poodle, they never cease to amaze me with their wide array of products and services– Fromm, Orijen, and even the Raw Frozen food they offer have proven to be extremely beneficial for all my dogs’ health, who all vary with special needs (skin allergies being the main one).
I have never been happier with how a groomer treats my dog– Kristin, Izaiah, and John all have a fantastic personality, and genuinely care about making your dog’s (and yours) experience nothing less than outstanding. I would recommend them to anyone who wants their dog to have the best of the best.
I’m not sure how some of the other people on this comment thread have had flies (fleas?), as the groomers would recommend (in your and your dog’s best interest) they treat your dog with a gentle flea bath if they were even the slightest bit concerned… There are cameras in every room (which you can peer at on the counter!), and even a giant window so that you may watch the groomers in action, so it’s very hard for them to mistreat any dogs even if they wanted to! They truly take great care of everybody who walks in their establishment, and I am sorry for anyone who misses out on the quality and genuineness they contribute to the neighborhood.

Cute store right on forth street. The owner (I assume) is always super friendly and gives free samples and a bag to take home.
The grooming, however, is not up to par compared to other places I’ve been. Also, it is more expensive. The first time I specified what I wanted and they simply just shaved my dog. The second time I really made it clear to please groom him and trim the hair to half of what it is, not to just shave it all off. This time it was all choppy and messy especially around the face and paws. Unfortunately for the price I will have to try a new place.

The last time I took my dog here was the worst grooming experience I’ve ever had.
1) my dogs paw was cut. I was not informed by the groomer after I tipped her 25%. Then this cost me $ 70 to take my dog to the Vet after the cut didn’t heal on its own.
2) I found flies on my dog after her grooming.
3) after calling the owner to inform her of these issues I had she wouldn’t refund me or give me a discount from my service. She didn’t apologize for the groomers negligence either.
I’ve had my dog groomed here multiple times with pleasant experiences even by the same groomer who hurt my dog. For the next grooming I’ll be going down the street to Furry Friends.
The sales receptionist were always friendly too.

I am extremely disappointed by the grooming service I received. Despite being very specific about what I wanted, I believe the groomer was inexperienced and/​or just lazy in grooming my dog. I have a poodle shih tzu mix and have never before had a grooming take so little time. It was so fast because all he did was shave my dog down so short I’m still in shock. Definitely NOT what I asked for and just lazy. I am very sorry I tried this place and will not be back. AND it was more expensive, to boot! They need to get groomers who know how to groom. I could have shaved my dog down short myself if that’s all I wanted.

We love this place! Everyone was friendly, the Boutique has great items for both pets and their humans, and the Groomers did a great job on my Mini Schnauzer. We’ll definitely be back!

Great service. I was given free samples of treats to start with. Nice atmosphere Grooming and pure natural holistic pet foods and treats.

Great selection and very knowledgeable staff. A lot of unique items and health food for dogs (and cats). Will definitely return.

The staff is always sweet and my little fur baby always looks so handsome when we go to Woof Gang. He loves their organic dog treats that usually are decorated to match whatever festive time of year it is at the moment. It is a bit pricey, but they really got me on the «I only want the best for him» mentality.

I took a chance because I wanted to support a local business but have never been so disappointed with a business owner in St. Petersburg. I was assured that the groomer was well experienced and knew what she was doing. I do not agree. I said I wanted fluffy and my dog looks so bald its unsightly. I relayed my unhappiness to the owner but she did not seem that concerned (although she was really nice). Not only was the cut bad but he left with FLEAS! My dog has NEVER had an issue with fleas and I try this place once and he has fleas??? This is a place you would go to get rid of fleas not to get fleas. When raising concern over this I was told another dog had previously come in with a really bad flea problem. I’m sorry but to me that is an excuse and shows a lack of experience with how to handle such extreme cases. Not only did I have to pay for this awful grooming experience which the owner refused to discount I now have to go pay for a flea bath at another groomers. I feel as if this place lacks necessary experience. I am very unhappy with the service I received here and will not be returning.

Groomer is a joke. Specifically made an appointment for my 11 month old Great Dane (clearly stated that while making the appointment) for a bath and nail trim. Walked in and the groomer was shocked and obviously scared of my dog due to his size. We walked right out. Dogs 101 — Great Danes are a giant breed. I would expect a groomer to be aware of that and if they don’t want to deal with large dogs, that should be stated prior to making an appointment.
PS: While he may be giant, my dog is extremely friendly and sweet. Not a vicious bone in his body!
****Update: Both the corporate office and franchise owner were quickly responsive. I have faith that staff will be trained in how to appropriately handle customers in the future. I may give them a second chance because of this.

So excited to have these great people in St. Pete! Even though we live at the beach, we don’t mind traveling downtown for the grooming service here. Excellent, later hours, so good for people who work. A few places I called didn’t take appointments later than three. John was AWESOME with our older-​ish three legged (tripawd) dog Mack. Even when Mack got a little whiney during blowdry, John shut off the drier and spent some time petting and relaxing our old boy, and then he was fine for the rest of his blow out! When picked up Mack, he was relaxing in the storefront, like he lived there! The storefront is great too, with TONS of healthy homemade treats and what seemed to be a large selection of high end foods, though we were there just for the grooming. Mack looks and smells great! Thank you Woof Gang gang!
