Starlight Princess

We had a wonderful time. The prefixed menu is brilliant. The appetizers where excellent, main course was ok we had the stuffed shrimp and bacon wrapped scallops, the staff was very accommodating with substituting the dessert for cake and they sang Happy Birthday to our table.
I would take this dinner cruise again. It was relaxing, fun atmosphere, beautiful view of the bay and great service.

Well, we’ve wanted to visit this little dinner cruise for some time. We now know why we haven’t heard much about it. The Salmon was vey good, the beef was also very good. However, the rest of the course was hardly palatable. And small portions. The meals are prepared for the masses, meaning they don’t really listen to your preference in likes, wants, dislikes. We were told desert, the only desert was Tiramisu. Nope. It was a tiny pumpkin Mouse. After what should be a nice dinner experience I usually expect a nice Espresso or Cappuccino. Just weak coffee was offered.
Service was like eating at Denny’s. Incompetent, robotic and a little arrogant at times. I felt our waitress tried, but was never taught how to provide fine dining service. The assistant wait staff was a reminder of military service, were concerned with getting something in front of us so they could get it over with.
And now what brings us to a 2 star review. The «talent» they provided to sing during our meal was mind numbing. She cannot sing. Simple as that. We wanted nothing but to be removed from the sound spewing from her mouth. She has zero singing talent. It was actually distracting and annoying to sit on the boat for two hours listening to her tuneless voice, with no place to escape. My wife said she felt vocally violated.

No stars for this! Service/​food was slow. The food was TERRIBLE!!! The grilled chicken was more like boiled! Nasty! Oh… and the «live music», just because they’re alive and playing music doesn’t make it entertainment!

This is a cute touristy thing to do. The food was very good and had some nice conversation with fellow guests. The drinks and dessert are extra and not included in your lunch or dinner ride price. Lots of room upstairs to walk around and talk pictures of the beautiful view.

This is a paddle boat cruise with a a meal. At the end of the meal, they brought a dessert tray around with some nice looking cakes, cheesecakes, and a key lime pie. This all seemed to imply dessert was included in the meal since there was no separate menu with a price list. There was a menu with alcoholic drinks with prices indicating they were not included and there was an appetizer menu with prices on it to indicate the appetizers were not included.
The wait staff did not say dessert was extra when they brought out the tray. It was not until the end of the meal that the wait staff brought out checks with dessert on it. Apparently there are some packages where dessert was included. This is a load of crap! There is nothing on the website about different tiers of meals. This is rather sneaky behavior to extract more money from each passenger. I wasn’t the only one surprised by this since the other 4 tables around us all were rather surprised by the dessert charge.
My biggest pet peeve with restaurants is when they try to sneak in extra charges like this! Bump up the price of the ticket by $ 10 to include the dessert and gratuity. Sneaky behavior like this is unacceptable!
If it wasn’t for this I would have rated them about 3 stars. The boat ride was nice and the food was decent.
