First time visit. Went with my family last night for dinner and had the best fish and chips. Was loved by all!

I’ve been meaning to write a review of this place but better late than never haha! This place was an AWESOME surprise, as we were leaving St. Pete to drive back to Orlando and used Unilocal to find a good late night bite.
First off, the place was quiet when we went but no one seemed annoyed that we came in an hour before close. Our server was very friendly and helpful. They even serve half-​pints of beer (which is great if you don’t want a full pint of one beer) and our server have us samples of the craft beer they had on draft before we selected. My fiancé ordered their «famous» fish and chips and I got the shrimp curry. Both were DELICIOUS! We also ordered a side salad and yummy fried mushrooms because appetizers are half priced on Saturdays! Breading on the fish was perfect– lite and crispy and not greasy at all. My shrimp curry was yummy and a very generous portion! The curry is like an English style curry, brown gravy style.
Will definitely be back when in St. Pete again!

Great food. Nice atmosphere. We had the chicken curry, vege curry and fish and chips. Ask the meals were delicious.
The waiter was awesome too, but he was the only one working. And actually he ran the floor and bar pretty efficiently. Only thing keeping this at 4 stars instead of 5 is that they could have used more staff.

Very nice staff and good selection on beer. I really like their curry chicken and burger, I definitely want to try the fish and chips next!

We dined at this restaurant at it’s previous location and it was great! We had a taste for fish&chips and searched for this place again. I have had fish & chips in New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, and England. Brittania serves the best, the piece of cod is substantial, fresh, and the batter is perfect! The Cole slaw served with the chips excellent as well. The chips were good but I would prefer a fresh cut chip. I think theirs is frozen although the portion is large. They have a great selection of beers, my choice, a Quinness of course! Now that’s a meal! The service was good as well. Would have given them five stars if the restaurant was nicer. They put their money in the food. They could put Frenchy’s out of business if they were on Gulf Blvd!

This place is awesome! The food is always great! Noël was the best!!! The atmosphere is very pleasant! The staff is always top notch! I love the food, especially the BOGO Fish and Chips on Tuesday. Will try Saturdays next for the half price appetizers. Love it!

3 stars for the curry
We stopped in here because D’Mexican was surprisingly closed and it turned out good. I had the chicken & vegetable curry (hot) which, was good. The chicken was tender and the portion was more than I could eat for lunch. Next time I’m going to grab a pint of Guinness and order the fish n chips. As others have reviewed, the prices were decent and the service was good.

Came in Tuesday for the bogo fish and chips. The portions are huge. The fish is perfectly crisp and light. 2 portions could be split among 3 people in my opinion. Can’t complain about the price so much. It’s right next to Ming Ming tea café.

This is a great place. We had a few beers and the fish and chips. They were both excellent. It reminded me of the times I visited London and would go eat and drink at the pubs.
It is in a strip mall but the place is nice for a relaxing beer/​food. We are on a summer holiday so this place is just what we needed after a day at the beach.

Fish and Chips!!! Love this place, the Cod or Haddock fish and chips are amazing. The fish is huge so you can split with someone and still be stuffed. I had the Beef and Ale pie also and was very good. They offer buy one get one free specials daily and those are a really good deal. You will not be disappointed.

My companion and I were just heading home from a doctors appt and decided to grab a bite to eat. He had been to the Britannia Arms before and love the fish nuggets. So I said «why not» and we headed over there. Not much to look at from the outside, it’s in a nondescript strip plaza that has the look of something from the 1960’s. Inside was not much better. Pretty generic, old school wood tables and chairs. The bar area was pretty spacious.
We were going to get the fish nuggets but our waitress informed us that it was BOGO on the Fish and Chips. So we opted for the Haddock. My companion also ordered a Bass Ale Draft and said it was excellent.
Our food came out quickly and there was malt vinegar and ketchup already on the bar. The fish was crisp and golden brown. The fries were crisp steak fries, cooked perfectly. The cole slaw was very good and tasted fresh.
There were only four other patrons in the pub, and two waitresses. They both engaged us in conversation and were very friendly. Overall a great value for lunch and I will definitely go back.
I’m glad we discovered this little gem. Really proof not to judge a book by its cover.

We have come here fairly often and the food is always very good, service although friendly can be slow, almost 45 minutes after ordering to recieve our food (and it wasn’t that busy !) but still worth a good rating

Great beer choices. They also carry angry orchard which is my favorite brand of cider. My kids who east fish like the fish and chips, but love the shepherd’s pie. Especially on Wednesdays with the BOGO deal. The biggest complaint from everyone is the music selection, but if you ask, they will change it for you. The pop music doesn’t really match the atmosphere.

We stop here on our annual trip to Clearwater, always worth the extra 15 miles from our vacation spot. Fish and chips are awesome!

We have been here twice in the last month. As locals, it is nice to find a nice restaurant with quality food and reasonable prices. BA is just that. The Fish and Chips were great (go for the cod) and the Bangers and Mashed were really good also. The curry is a little bland, as we like our curries hot and spicy. The cook may be a little shy on the taste. They have a great selection of draft and bottled beers. My favorite being the Fat Tire. All-​in-​all a great experience both times.

This is such a fun friendly neighborhood restaurant! They always have BOGO ‘s which is cool. That staff is very friendly especially Noël!!!

Surprisingly good food and good service!
The beer selection is extensive — at least for me — even though I am not really a beerophile.
My friend from Denmark had a craft beer, and I had iced tea. If you had read my previous reviews from the last few weeks, you would see that my son and I were in London for over a week… therefore, I have had several meals of Fish-​n-​Chips in London recently…
Every one of those London pubs we experienced could take a lesson from Britannia Arms about food quality, service, and cleanliness. Britannia has them all beat.
You can have your choice of fish. We ordered fried Cod and the Chips well done (came out perfect!) and the fish batter was crispy and perfect as well. We took the side of coleslaw, and it was obviously house made — very fresh, very tasty. The menu is pretty extensive and we both commented that there is something for everyone.
The interior of Britannia Arms is modern, with natural light through the large windows. There are lots of flat screens, showing sports and music videos, etc.
Next time, we will try the shepherds pie, we saw that served, and it looked good too.

Four important words:
Bangers and mash. YUM.
And they were DELICIOUS! As were the fish and chips! The folks who own the place are as nice as can be, and the food was served hot and fresh! What a great find!
