Absolutely the best Jamaican food i have had here in the states. Run don’t walk to this place. Don’t let the horrible parking and very shady location stop you. Except maybe don’t go at night alone haha my husband and I were in Jamaica in October to get married and the jerk chicken ruined us for all other jerk chicken. That is till we found this place. Even walking in felt like we were back in Jamaica. We got curry goat and curry chicken and ate it in the car as the ac is barely working if at all at the place and no seats really. After we polished that off with lots of praise, my husband went back in and got an order of the jerk chicken. Oh man, I can’t describe the amazingness that was in each bite. We couldn’t stop raving to each other about how it was just like being back in Jamaica. If you don’t like spice then maybe not for you but it has been a long time since I have had a meal that I can’t stop thinking about. Definitely check this place out. It is totally a hidden gem. I’m sure everything on their menu is a hit!

Hole in the wall — yep. Cash only — yep. Parking a pain — yep. Worth it? Absolutely. The jerk chicken and curry goat rock. Portions are good and prices are more than fair. Yeah I know the place looks a little sketchy… trust me, the food is worth it.

Pretty good Jerk Chicken portions are large, but mostly rice. Cabbage is pretty tasty too. Tried both short ribs and the ox tails. Meat was a little too tough for me. Sticking to the Jerk chicken. No seating really and cash only.

Don’t let the small parking lot and appearance of the restaurant put you off. This place is definitely only take-out, but there is a small table available if you really can’t wait to go home and eat. Unfortunately for me, I fell in love with this place during the summer. Why is this relevant? There is no air conditioning, just a fan. When you walk in there is a small window counter where you order, which may require yelling out that you’re there because the employees are in the kitchen most of the time. Luckily, every time I’ve stopped by here there’s always someone in the front familiar with the owner who goes in the back and calls him out for me. The menu changes daily with a few sides that are only available on Friday & Sunday, so check out my picture of the menu before you stop by. I’m guilty of ordering the same thing each visit; small orders of ox tails and jerk chicken. The reason I’m not giving Miller’s 5⁄5 stars is because it’s a little inconsistent in what they serve you. The first time I came I got the whole 9 with my food which consisted of cabbage, rice & peas, fried dumplings, and plantains. Unfortunately, the second time I came there were no plantains and the third time I didn’t get fried dumplings nor plantains. I’m not sure if it’s because I came on different days and they change the sides but I was disappointed that I didn’t get all the same sides as the first time. On the bright side the food that came home with me was delicious enough to make up for everything. The ox tails are consistently tender and they give you such a generous portion. The jerk chicken is heavenly as you can tell it’s well marinated and cooked to perfection. They always ask if you want the spices on the jerk chicken, and I always say YES. I’ve had my fair share of Jamaican food during my college days, and this definitely tops the list. Keep in mind that it’s CASHONLY!

When I first moved to St. Pete, I was looking for some quality Jamaican food, and this is really it. You aren’t coming here to sit down. The shop is pretty stripped down, and it is cash only, but this food is beyond reasonably priced, and the portions are incredibly generous. Every time I’ve come, I’ve gotten the oxtails. Most placed are criticized for not offering enough meaty oxtails, not here! And make sure to ask for extra gravy on the peas and rice, a must! If you are wanting authentically spicy jerk chicken, this is the place. I mean it is spicy/hot, makes you sweat as you eat, hot. Every main dish is very tender, and flavorful. Unfortunately, when I’ve gone in the evenings, he is sold out of plantain, so I suggest going earlier in the day. Overall, you are getting everything you are paying for, in the best possible sense.

Ok so, there’s no ambiance, no tables and it’s cash only but, this was some of the best jerk chicken I’ve had in years! My husband and I got the small plates and even then it was enough for our lunch and dinner! By the way, there’s a lovely little park nearby to sit and enjoy your meal.

He said he has been there for 3 years, and I only found the place this month, and I’ve been searching for Jamaican food in St. Pete for about 2 years now, at least. Sierra S’s review was 2014Jan. Should had come up on my search. Weird.

Yes, this is real deal Jamaican. Great portions with deep flavors. Yes, it is very nondescript and next to a meat market. No, there is no ambiance whatsoever, but it is good food for your soul.

Wow… The food was amazing! Price was great, service exceptional. They just didn’t have any Ox tail! You should definitely try this place out.

Excellent food! Jerk chicken is super juicy and the rice and peas are very good too. It’s a whole in the wall place but worth the trip. Cash only, I didn’t have much cash so I would’ve tried more dishes. Yummy!

Yum!!! Listen folks, I have very simple tastes. My favorite thing to eat: rice&beans, fried(ripe) plantain, and perfectly seasoned jerk chicken. I could eat it all day, every day if it is prepared properly. This hit the spot. Hats off to Mr. Miller because it was so very, very good and I was delighted. The portions are quite sizeable and the food was served hot. I had more than enough leftover for the next morning. What better way to begin the New Year than by eating your favorite meal? There is limited seating so you are better off placing an order for pick up. It was ready 10 minutes later so extra points for that. Be advised that this is a CASH only establishment and isn’t open on Mondays.
