Great place, very good portions, the food is kind of dry but really good quality! You definitely have to try if you are in the healthy mood! Please order the soups for sure

So my husband and I decided to have a fun recovery exercise day and ride bikes down town. We wanted to try a place we haven’t been to and so we started looking on Unilocal.This place came up and we were in the mood for something fresh and healthy so it was perfect. Why 5 stars?
Ambiance: it is a cute little hidden gem in a strip of stores along central Ave. The inside is homey and organic. About 5 tables and two hi top bar areas. One overlooking the prep station (which I love because I love seeing how my food is made) and one overlooking central Ave. They have a window with home made goodies at the front which look so appetizing. Bathrooms were clean.
Service: the service was great. We got there at 2pm so it wasn’t a super busy time, but we asked if we ordered at the counter or sat down. The girl told us we can sit and she would serve us. We ended up taking the high top by the prep station. She brought us waters without asking and helped us with any questions we had at the menu. They let us sample their soup of the day and try multiple home made salad dressing. Very attentive.
Food: I ordered the jerk chicken salad and my husband ordered the lunch special ½ chicken salad wrap ½ house salad. Can I tell you how amazingly fresh and good these were. For a basic salad, it was so colorful, fresh, crispy, and delicious. The salad dressing was AMAZING. Let me repeat myself. AMAZING!!! They complimented the salads perfectly. Soooo delicious. The wrap was full of beautiful veggies and chicken. A little dry, but still tasty. As we were leaving my evil husband got one of their cookies. This cookie was huge! But full of oats, flax, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and deliciousness. About one of the best damn cookies I’ve ever tasted (healthy wise). No cardboard flavor. Lol. (they are also gluten vegan veggie friendly so if you have a special diet they can accommodate you) All you healthy eaters know what I mean. 5+++ star on food.
Drinks: they have a full juice bar and coffee setup. We didn’t get either, but saw a few of these drinks made and they looked scrumptious!
Price: price was average for healthy food. Mine was 10 $ and my husbands was 12 $. The cookie ran us 4 $ but was worth every penny. I would pay this all day for the freshness I got here.
Overall, I was very pleased with this establishment and have found my new favorite healthy place for large salads and wraps, and the cookie. Love love loved it!

The Meatloaf special on Thursday’s is amazing. So much flavor and plenty to fill your tummy. Matched with green beans and mashed red Potatoes, its a cant miss. Get there early because he normally runs out by early evening.

This café is absolutely amazing! I usually end up disappointed after going in to an «organic» café only to discover they deceptively offer only a few organic options just to say they have it, but are mainly main-​stream, standard american diet, chemically treated garbage «food».
Mickey’s is truly organic. I don’t think I could have easily ordered something with GMOs or chemicals. They use pure, natural ingredients that taste amazing. They even offered organic beer, lemonades, drinks, glass bottles of water and lattes with Monin syrup, which is WAY better than Starbucks chemical-​laden cancer in a cup.
My husband and I ordered two different types of salads, a cookie and topped it off with two lattes. It was all delicious. The staff was very kind and apologetic about the wait time but it was worth every second to get a healthy, delicious meal.
My husband is not a health-​conscious eater, but he was delighted. We will be going back… over and over!

Food was good! However if you’re in a hurry this is not a great place to go. Very slow. Also felt it was expensive for a lunch place. A lot of up charges.

Delicious healthy organic food, very friendly service, love the atmosphere, and the owner is very friendly and personable. Five out of five stars for sure, will be returning with my girlfriend!

More Misses than Hits
Mickey’s means well, I’m sure. The place is comfortable and the staff friendly. Food is only OK and way overpriced.
The three of us shared a couple of bowls of soup. One was the black-​eyed peas with smoked ham and the other was black bean. Both seriously lacked flavor. A good dosing of salt & pepper helped, but not enough. We also shared the Strawberry Fields salad with the recommended raspberry vinaigrette. The dressing was way too raspberry-​sweet and not enough vinaigrette. We had to ask for some balsamic vinegar to perk it up. The salad itself was quite nice.
We also shared a couple of the sandwiches. The Cuban sandwich bore little resemblance to the real thing. There shouldn’t be lettuce and tomato and there should be some mustard and pickles and it should all be well pressed. This was just a ham sandwich. The Reuben sandwich shouldn’t have lettuce and tomato (again), but it should have sauerkraut and Russian dressing which was missing. This was just a rather spare corned beef sandwich. And all were rather minimal for the price charged.
The best thing was the chocolate chip oatmeal cookie for dessert.

Great service, we had their home made ice cream and coffee, they made fresh coffee for us, delish!

Saw all the great reviews so stopped in for some lunch. Ordered a green salad and asked for added chicken breast and oil and balsamic on the side (both of which were on their menu). TEN MINUTES LATER (we were the only ones there) the called out that they were out of oil so would balsamic work. Sure I said, in the back of my mind thinking what the fuck kind of restaurant has no oil in the building during the height of lunch hour? About 4 mins later they said, sorry we are out of the avocado that is normally put on your salad. At this point I go over to see what is going on and they have a scoop of MAYO LADEN CHICKEN SALAD on top of my salad. I was like so added chicken breast equals a $ 4.50 up charge for a scoop of chicken salad with no explanation? At this point I politely asked for my money back. The staff was friendly enough and felt very bad and apologized. After seeing their food and my companions meal, I would classify this place as «poser organic». The lettuce is straight up a bagged lettuce blend you could buy at publix as are their dressings. I watched them dump some Hershey’s syrup into another patrons drink after we had sat down. Prices were too high as well. Not worth it for what is basically an independently owned panera.

This is a great place for lunch.
If you are a vegetarian or a vegan this is a go to place for lunch or a light dinner.
A lot of their food is organic and it does not take away from the taste and the staff is wonderful and it only took about 15 minutes for them to prepare our food and deliver it to our table we will definitely visit again.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The food is amazing, fast and so fresh. You can tell they really care about the quality of ingredients used in their food. I always get the hummus wrap and have never been disappointed. The service is impeccable. I’ve been going here weekly for the past year and the staff is always super friendly and helpful! Mickey’s is simply the best!

Today I had the most disappointing cuban sandwich of my life. I’ve had quite a few cuban sandwiches in my time, best of which was probably from Bodega a mile north from here on central.
Thing is until today I’ve never regretted buying a Cuban, even from a vending machine. 1 slice of tomoatoe from the edge, cut way too thick 4 slices of grose pickles that were definitely not organic stacked on stop of each other so I had to take apart and remake my sandwich before I could eat. this process made a mess of the carelessly applied condiments.
The final straw for this terrible meal was there wasn’t even a slightly reasonableamount of meat in it. Two thin slices of salami and maybe. Maybe an ounce of pork. 10 $???

Stopped in for lunch for the first time today. Was met with friendly service and good recommendations on what to choose. I went with the half wrap/​half salad combo with the turkey pesto wrap. Both were delicious and so fresh tasting. Also got The Champ juice, which was awesome. I work a few blocks away so will definitely be making this a frequent place to grab lunch or to cure a juice craving!

Mickeys Café is amazing. Nice to go to a place that doesn’t overload their food with butter, oil, etc. I had the pesto chicken wrap and the «green» smoothie. Definitely will be back when I am in St. Pete.

A breath of fresh air on the downtown lunch scene. Love the lemon pepper chicken and great tuna recipe.
Everything is so fresh and friendly too.

This place is amazing !! Everything is healthy but full of flavor! The jerk chicken wrap is my choice! The southwest mayo for dipping is incredible! They have fresh baked healthy cookie and smoothies that will have you dreaming for a refill! The staff is super friendly and helpful. You have to try Mickeys for lunch!!!

Hubby and I wanted lunch and were in the mood for a salad. So I typed in «best salad» and up popped Mickey’s. Our first time here overall opinion: great! Yummy and healthy.
I got the grilled vegetable salad and added jerk chicken. This makes it a $ 15 salad but the salad was HUGE and I had to get a to-​go box. The salad was absolutely delicious and the chicken was perfectly spiced. Hubby got the chicken salad, and it was pretty straightforward but still fresh and tasty. I think he wished he’d gotten the jerk chicken after tasting mine :)
I will definitely dine here again. I saw the strawberry fields salad come out and it looked as amazing as the reviews say, so I will have to try that next time.

The place was clean. The staff was friendly but not overly friendly. The service was decently fast. There were five people ahead of me in line and from the time I got in line to the time I was eating my foodwas probably 15 minutes. I had the curried egg salad wrap. The wrap was fresh and the egg salad with nicely seasoned. The veggies inside the wrap were nothing special. everything is all a cart. For my wrap and water it was $
was kind of awkward at the end though. Since it was the get up in order joint yourself I didn’t know what to do with my tray because I didn’t see a tray drop anywhere. Apparently you’re just supposed to leave it at your seat. I’ll give it another try. I do have to say that they have exceptionally comfy chairs. That is all

Came here for lunch the first time today. I have been dying to try this place since they were open. There is really no place like this in town that serves organic salads, wraps, and juices. I love the concept if the restaurant, I also love how friendly the atmosphere appears. Their service is quick, so if you only have an half hour for lunch, you can still get in and out pretty quickly.
I ordered the curried egg salad wrap and carrot juice to go for about $ 15. Both were pretty good. I love the carrot juice, it’s perfect the way thy made it. In terms of the wrap, it’s pretty big. I was full after eating half of the wrap. I loved the curried egg salad but thought the rest of the wrap with the veggies was dry. I think it would be better if there was a sauce that complemented the veggies.
All in all, I’d come here again for lunch and will continue to try other items.
