After researching extensively for the perfect wedding night location we settled here. As perfectionists we had high bed and breakfast expectations of which none were unmet with grand success. The hosts(Larry and Ellen) were superb and very hospitable. The late night homemade cookies and morning mimosas were a nice touch as was the breakfast which we found perfectly filling and delicious. We will be talking about this place for the rest of our marriage. Don’t miss out. I’m glad we didn’t.

Larry and his wife run a really nice B&B. The neighborhood is quiet. The house is very nicely decorated, and the breakfasts were such a nice touch. Unlike other B&B’s we’ve stayed in where the food is placed out and you serve yourself, here you will be served at table like a guest in their home. That is what you truly are when you stay here — a guest in their home. If you want to stay in a place where you’ll feel warmly welcomed, and where it will feel like you’re visiting family, this is a great place for that experience. There are numerous restaurants and other attractions within walking distance. The jacuzzi out back is a great place to relax after a day of exploring the area. Thank you Larry and Ellen for a wonderful stay!

My guy and I spent this past Saturday night at Larelle House while in town for the Rays game. There was much discussion of their lack of Unilocal reviews so allow me to be the first to sing their praises. Larelle House is conveniently located within walking distance of most of what you’d want to see in downtown St. Pete. We didn’t move our car after arriving until it was time to head home. We were greeted by Larry, one of our friendly hosts, who gave us a tour and introduced us to the resident cats. Hooray for temporary pseudo-pets! The house itself is gorgeous… beautifully restored and furnished. We stayed in the Longley Room, which has the only king bed in the place, and were very happy with our accomodation. There are four rooms in total, all on the second floor, and there is a common balcony that we accessed through the common hallway. This overlooks the backyard which has a covered seating area and a small hot tub which we didn’t use on this trip but other guests said was great. There are also a couple of bikes they allow guests to use on a first-come basis. We were pretty happy just with this but the included breakfast on Sunday morning was what sealed the deal for us. Coffee, juice, mimosas(which I believe they only do on Sundays), a fruit course, the fluffiest egg casserole I have ever tasted with potatoes on the side, and, you know, since that wasn’t nearly enough… homemade banana cake. Ellen, Larry’s wife, is way better at breakfast than I am. Yum! So, hopefully I have raved enough that you give this place a shot the next time you visit downtown St. Pete. We paid a little more than I normally like to for lodging but it was absolutely worth it and we’ll definitely be repeat customers.
