Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

The massages are great however the receptionists are totally useless. I have tried numerous times to make an appointment online to no avail. I never receive a call back, an email or any correspondence whatsoever.
I am cancelling my membership and going to a more reliable place.

Shawna is absolutely amazing! The facility is always so clean and the staff is wonderful.

Have been coming in for about 6 months. They use only Dermalogica products which works well for my skin. All their aestheticians we great as well. Highly recommend them for an afternoon of de-​stressing!

Carissa was amazing! I’ve had a lot of massages and hers was definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. She is great with deep tissue so, if you really need your aches and pains worked out, go to her!

Had a neuro muscle massage with Lauren due to lower back and hip injury a week earlier. She did an excellent job without the pain of other trigger releases I’ve endured. More importantly she was spot on effective. I was able to go to the gym the next day without issue. Slightly more costly than other 60 minutes of neuro muscle at $ 100, but it worked! I will go again for relaxation massage. Professional, clean, friendly and competent place.

I was a devotee of another (more expensive) local spa until I tried this Hand & Stone. It’s clean, the appointments always run on time and the staff is outstanding. For a top-​notch massage or facial, ask for Tina. I’ve had a few good therapists here but Tina’s the best! My husband and I both have memberships: you can’t find a better deal in St. Pete.

First visit to this location and I’m hooked. I asked for their best aesthetician and they recommended Leslie to me who has over 10 years experience. She took the time to discuss my needs, desires, routine and give me recommendations before getting started. She starts with a relaxation technique and really takes her time to make sure you’re at ease.
I ended up getting a facial with microdermabrasion and came out feeling fresh. I’ve been a member for 4 years in Orlando and it looks like due to Leslie, I’ll stay a member.
This location uses only Dermalogica products which I use as well and has improved my skin immensely.
The only reason it’s not 5 stars is with all the introductory stuff we ended up running out of time during my facial… I’ll update once I receive the full package.

This place is awesome. I’ve gotten both massages and facials here. The place is clean. The staff is friendly and professional. Also the gentleman that did my facial was very well versed in the how’s and the why’s behind the treatment (I ask a lot of questions). I’ll definitely be back.

Just had a massage at Hand and Stone. One word… «Stephanie!» I had a brief conversation with her prior to the treatment. I told her exactly what I wanted, and what I wouldn’t tolerate. She went above and beyond my expectations. I’m a tough grader, but Stephanie was amazing!

I have been a member for about a year and absolutely love it! I love the staff and always feel amazing when I leave. I have bought gift certificates for my husband and a good friend and they loved it as well. I highly recommend going!

I have been a member at this Hand and Stone for a couple of years now, and I love my experiences here! They have a great selection of therapists and their scheduling is very accommodating. The parking is easy and they have great hours.
The front desk staff is always helpful and pleasant and they really have the business down to a science (they operate much more efficiently than some of the other membership massage spas I’ve been to).
I would recommend this spa and this specific location to my friends!

I have contacted the spa directly about my unsatisfactory experience through e-​mail and they said they would be contacting me. 2 months later-​still haven’t received a call so I’m guessing it’s not happening. Really unhappy with their lack of customer service here.

I was extremely stressed and my regular massage therapist was unavailable and
I had been here once before (for my wedding) on a living social voucher 2 years ago for a facial and a massage and it was excellent so I called them again for a last minute appointment (for a relaxation massage and waxing) and they were able to fit me in even tho they had an event in the evening. The massage therapist Marley was absolutely great and left me refreshed and relaxed (I’ve never had hot towels put on me during a massage =)) I’ve been caretaker to my family all week… and it felt really great when she said it was all about me right now…(exhale)…I usually get shiatsu and like my pressure firm and she was great! The waxing person however was kind of grumpy.
Overall, it was a good experience. The girl up front told me about the monthly plan but did not try to hard sell me which I really liked. I don’t live down here anyway. I’m glad I came and will definitely be back should I need them again.

I am a fan, and I typically go often, but I’m not compelled… I guess what would make this a 5 for me would be that compelling need to be there. Alas it is the consistency that is killing that, one month I get a great massage, the next month I wonder if I got the trainee fresh from school.
My suggestion to management, find a way to keep them or a better way to grade them.
Other than that, the place is always clean, the staff always friendly, and they genuinely seem interested in your well being.

I had a great experience here with a MT named Preston. He listened to and focused on my problem areas as well as giving me a relaxation massage. The facility was clean, relaxing and the staff was courteous.
I do understand that the therapist who handles your appointment makes a big difference in your experience, so I recommend requesting Preston at the fourth Street location.
