Gallerie 909 is a cultural charm. I have been more times than I count since moving to St. Pete. Not only is there beautiful artwork, there are always recurring community events, artist talks, spoken word nights, and art shows. The Gallerie is also home to beautiful pieces of jewelry. Perfect for gifts!
If you’re in or visiting the area, definitely visit! The owner, Carla, is amazing – a vibrant spirit full of love.

A small, quaint yet simplistically nice art gallery that features African American and Caribbean art. I’ve been here 3 times now and each time the artwork is different yet beautiful. I enjoy myself every time I stop by! This is also a great place to purchase unique and hand-​crafted gifts for families and friends.

I had so much fun meeting Clara/​the gallery owner, the featured artists, and fellow guest. The atmosphere was full of positive-​friendly-​happy energy. It was a wonderful time. Thxs Gallerie 909 and St. Pete!

An exquisitely curated gallery! Carla keeps the collection thriving by constantly meeting new artists from the local, national, and international scenes. This is definitely the best new gallery in St Pete, empowering the black art scene which is obviously thriving. This gallery houses fantastic sculptures of ceramic and wood, stunning paintings, prints, jewelry, quilting, and more. You must check this gem out!

It’s a small gallery with some very beautiful pieces featuring AA, Caribbean and African artists. I collect this type of artwork and I felt like I was a kid in a candy store. I purchased a beautiful, hand made pair of sterling silver thread earrings. I had to refrain from buying a piece or two today. I’ll absolutely return! I couldn’t buy all this artwork and be hogging my hubby’s birthday afternoon. We just popped in by happenstance after stuffing our bellies with Deuces BBQ. I’m looking forward to returning and buying a piece or two. Carla, the owner, hosts a 1^st Friday celebration on Fri each month where there’s an open mic and drum sessions. We’ll totally return for that! Carla is very nice and I really enjoyed chatting w/​her and learning about many of the pieces and artists. Her gallery is warm and inviting and there was no pressure to buy a piece today. Oh, but I will return to buy something soon!

This is a LOVELY art gallery in St. Pete’s Deuces area. They feature the work of established and young African American and Caribbean artists working in a range of styles and mediums. Many of the artists whose work is on display are local!!! Very cool, beautiful and interesting works.
Check them out and enjoy Lorene’s Fish House or Chief’s Creole Café next door on either side. This is a lovely art exhibition space and they need your support!!! You can also drop by during the St. Pete Art Walk. I guarantee you will enjoy your visit. :)
