We attended the Glassblowing Experience class today(5÷21÷16), and it was breathtaking, both literally and figuratively! Marielle and Danielle were our instructors. They were thorough, effective, entertaining, and a joy to be around. They guided us through what is a difficult and intimidating experience with an assured hand and good humor. We never though we’d be able to make anything approaching art, but they made it easy! It was an exhilarating experience all around. Caution, though; if you have low heat tolerance, consider carefully, as you spend a fair bit of time in close proximity to a 2100 degree furnace, and if you’re not careful and attentive to the instructions, there is a potential for you to be severely injured very quickly. We escaped with no physical injuries at all, but the heat did get to us later in the day. In all it was totally worth it because the experience was magical. The art gallery is filled to the brim with amazing works of glass art, and the Glassblowing Experience gives you a newfound appreciation for the skill of these amazing artists.

Go to this gallery! Its shows contain a fabulous variety of unique and surprising works. Pieces are artfully displayed and exhibits change frequently. I’ve been there several times in the last few months, and the collection has yet to disappoint. You may be lucky and be there when you can observe the glass blowing process. The staff is welcoming and helpful as well.

Highly recommend visiting Duncan McClellan Gallery. Mr. McClellan and his staff are exceptional hosts. We stopped in on 2÷20÷16 and from the moment we entered to when we left everyone was friendly/welcoming/informative. This gallery is a must for all art lovers. The artists that Duncan has on display are phenomenal. I found this gallery more to my liking than any Chihuly exhibit I’ve visited,(this is a personal viewpoint and not disparaging of Chihuly’s work). An amazing find and well worth a visit.

Amazing! One of the most inspiring glass galleries outside of a Chihuly exhibit I have ever seen. Try to make it by on 2nd Saturday evening celebrations for an extraordinary cultural evening. Great Vibe!

Truly one of the most amazing and serene art galleries we have ever visited. The masterpieces on display are unlike any other and the talent is undeniably genius. We can’t wait to go back and visit all the new works from time to time. Don’t miss the chance to visit this space if you are a local or just visiting the Burg!

My favorite gallery in St Pete for sure. Duncan is always so friendly and inviting. The artists that they get to come in and blow glass have been amazing. Its a great place to check out anytime, but try and go when they are«Live» and creating. *This studio is just off the Pinellas trail too for easy bike access.

Fabulous selection of glass and other mediums of art. A hidden gem! I’m sorry it took me so long to get over there. I can’t wait to try one of the wineglass making classes. Duncan is very personable as well.

I visited this gallery and working studio in June 2015. The glass work in the gallery is some of the finest I have seen. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was allowed to take pictures and spend as much time as I liked. I especially enjoyed watching two young artists blowing glass in the workshop. They explained what they were making as they went. What a great educational experience for me. I can’t wait to share what I learned with my daughter who teaches elementary school art!

A highlight of our visit to St. Petersburg. The gallery offerings are unique. We enjoyed meeting artists at work in the hot room. The studio would be a wonderful venue for any event.

Beautiful unique glass art tucked away off the beaten path. Was able to go back to the artist workshop and see one of the artists blowing glass. Very cool! Bought a glass bird before we left. Glad we made the stop on the way to the airport heading home.

Beautiful gallery with very unique pieces. I went with my son’s Hebrew school class and we had a great time watching the glass blowing demonstrations and sandblasting our own art.

We went yesterday for an elementary school art club field trip and had a wonderful time. Our day started with a gallery tour by Duncan. He told us about the artists in the exhibits this month, talked about different pieces, and explained his techniques to our crowd. There was even an exhibiting artist there who was able to teach us about her style and art. After the gallery tour, we went to see a glass blowing demo in the hot shop. They definitely had all of the kids and parents enthralled. Very cool to see and highly recommended. Lastly, the kids got to sand blow the glass plates they prepared with their art club. It was neat to see their art evolve and to see the looks on their faces. I would highly recommend a visit to Duncan’s studio and hot shop. All of the art was beautiful and the staff was phenomenal. Art rotates monthly, so we will definitely be back.

First time visiting Duncan’s studio, and what a great gallery/studio it is! This warehouse-style building has been completely transformed into a little art oasis. I was really pleased by the great selection and diversity of the glass art, but also impressed that there was some ceramic and paintings as well. From what the gallery manager told me, exhibitions change our monthly, giving you more reasons to come back frequently. He also has some neat outdoors areas that look great for hanging out and talking with people during art walks. And there’s a bar in here?! I plan to come back out on an art walk night or when there’s a demo to see some work in action!!!

This place is beautiful and inspiring. We saw a glass blowing demo that was jaw dropping. The pieces of work in this gallery are just amazing! Had more fun here than at the Dali museum. ;-)

Amazing place! My first time in here and everyone was friendly and helpful. Such a neat place to visit on a second Saturday. Would love to go back and see some more of the great art pieces, hang out on the cozy little deck, and see what kind of cool things are being created!

This is the perfect(locally owned and operated) gallery for for anyone who admires or collects glass art. The primary focus is obviously Duncan McClellan’s work, which is often ornately patterned inside and out; his unique vessels seem to be inspired by the organic shapes in nature as well as the athletic images one would see on Ancient Greek vases. The gallery also features other international and local artists such as Paul Eppling, who has created collaborative pieces with McClellan; the upper gallery walls are covered with his enormous metal and glass insects, which are amazing. The hot shop sometimes has live demonstrations, and the gallery itself is one of the best stops on the monthly local art walk. During these events, guest artists will sometimes provide brief lectures on their work, and refreshments are available. We plan to visit again soon.
