Bonefish Grill

Once again, Bonefish excels in service, atmosphere, and food quality. Our server (Christy, I believe) was knowledgeable and friendly and made great suggestions. We got Bang Bang Shrimp and the special which were amazing! Will definitely be back!

I had never been to Bonefish Grill before. Nice atmosphere but food was bland. Scallops and shrimp with grilled lemon lacked flavor, I guess they depend on sauces for flavor. Jasmine rice had no flavor as well. Sautéed spinach was very nice and cooked well. Service was mediocre, they seemed distracted. Over priced wine and a meal also not worth the price. Not sure I’ll be back. Disappointing.

Eric is THE BEST. Ask for him and you will not only get GREAT service, but witty comebacks and jokes. Such an amazing and memorable experience here. The food is ALWAYS great at bonefish, but it’s the servers that make it so memorable. Eric made our dinner just awesome!!!

We weren’t sure where to eat tonight for Christmas eve. Decided upon bonefish grill and had a wonderful dinner! Great cocktails too… will absolutely return!

Great service and food! I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Po Boy and it was delicious… Heavy for lunch, but too good to pass up.

The bang bang shrimp are amazing! I asked for the sauce on the side! In town for business and I would definitely eat here again. Great server, ask for Emily G. She was so sweet and I didn’t have to ask for a thing she anticipated my needs!

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner on a Saturday night and were seated next to a table of about 16 high schoolers who were going to homecoming. It was quite loud. Any decent restaurant I’ve been to wouldn’t have seated us there when there were many open tables in other sections of the restaurant.
Our waiter was friendly but was either new or badly trained. That night they had a special menu which I ordered from; you can add the Bang Bang Shrimp to a meal for $ 6. The waiter was confused when I ordered it and asked where I saw it. He mentioned that they just received the menu today, but that is a lame excuse as it’s his job to know the menu prior to starting his shift.
I ordered the Stone Crab special and Spicy Tuna Bowl. The stone crab was the main reason we ate there that night and they did not disappoint; they were very fresh! The Spicy Tuna Bowl on the other hand was HORRIBLE. The Tuna was cold so it wasn’t freshly seared and it looked nothing like the picture on their website. The fish had this gray pinkish color.
The Jamaican Coconut Pie was excellent. It was perfectly light and sweet. I would go back just to eat this dessert.

We were there on Veterans Day. How nice that you received a complimentary order of Bang Bang shrimp. We had another order of the shrimp and tried the corn soup with lump Crab. It was outstanding. We will certainly order that again.
Our waitress, Kristen, could not have been better. She was very friendly, told us about the soup and how it was her favorite (that’s why we ordered it) and she was probably one of the best waitresses we have had at any restaurant.

Best brunch deal I have been able to find. Unlimited mimosas, bellinis and blackberry sangria along with many food options. I always get the surf and turf so I am getting unlimited drinks, steak, lobster, eggs benedict and cheesy potatoes all for a flat 20 bucks! Only reason they don’t get 5 stars is the service isn’t always the best (just depends on which server you get) and they occasionally burn the english muffins. Regardless I keep going back. Great way to knock out a hangover!

Yes, BF is a chain but a very good one.
Expect elite service and excellent food, but at a slightly higher price.
One gets what one pays for? It’s really worth it here.
The bang bang shrimp, potstickers, corn chowder with crab, fish and chips, and their Kobe beef burger are my family’s menu favorites.
The take-​out service is impeccable!
You can get 3 appetizers delivered right to your car for well under $ 30 and in just a short 15 minutes!
As expected, this place gets mad busy during peak dining hours. So I just resort to dining in early or getting their top-​notch takeout.

Went to this establishment for a celebration with my family. Even though we had reservations and showed up early for a party larger than 6 our table was not ready. They placed us at a pieced together table close to the kitchen, the leaf’s of the tables were folding on us as we moved and tried to eat so our plates moved and slid. Even though they had a nicely remodeled room for large parties they stuck us in the middle of the floor by the kitchen. There was about 2 feet of room between our chairs and other guests.
The side dishes were really nothing to write home about. Truffle mac and cheese was bland and had no hint of truffle oil just diced mushrooms. The potatoes au gratin came out cold.
I will say that the primary dishes ie: fish was excellent all around. I had salmon with asian sauce that was perfect. Paying as much as you do at this establishment i expect better.

Bonefish Grill is a nation-​wide seafood themed chain but they do a really good job with what they dp. I went with a party of 12 and everything was service to food was a job well done.
After we sat down, we were quickly asked what drinks we wanted and within 5 minutes the waitress had all the drink orders taken care of. I recommend the Fresh Berry Smash which comes with blackberries, orange slices, and mint topped with a mildy-​sweet sparkly beverage. For appetizers, we got a few orders of the very famous Bang Bang Shrimp, Calamari, and Crabcakes. Although I don’t eat shrimp, everybody was raving about the bang bang shrimp so I am assuming that it was good. The Calamari was crispy but a little chewy but never too fishy. The crab cakes along with the mayo based sauce were scrumptious. For the entrée I ordered the fish of the day which was blackened perch with olive pesto on top served with a side of couscous salad. The fish was perfectly grilled and seasoned and tasted as it should. The couscous salad had a little too much pesto and after a while got a little too salty to enjoy.
Overall, I would give Bonefish Grill a 4 out of 5 star for really good service and good seafood dishes. I know it’s a chain restaurant and being in FL you have endless option for great seafood places. But, if you’re in the area and are craving some seafood then I recommend this place.

Typically I hate chain restaurants. I am in town, from Pittsburgh, with my son visiting my brother and I could not have been more pleased with our entire experience here tonight! Possibly the best dining since being in town.
We waited about 10 minutes for a table which was just fine in my book for a Friday night. Alisa, (sp?) our server was fantastic. She was attentive, accommodating (especially with our requests for extra lemons and cup of ice for my 2 year old) and made excellent recommendations. I manage a restaurant back home and definitely notice the little things when going out.
We had the Ahi tuna appetizer, delicious and cooked perfectly. My brother and I both had the scallops, me from the special menu and he the scallops and shrimp on the regular menu. Go for the special menu scallops, you can absolutely taste how fresh they are and the risotto was cooked to perfection! Drink menu was hard to decide, opted for the seasonal watermelon martini, which was fantastic; also the Moscow mule, completely different than any other I’ve had; in the best way possible. We took the Jamaican pie desert home because it was getting late And my little guy was ready to go and it too was delicious once we got home.
Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone and will see if the one in Pittsburgh is up to the same standard!!! Thanks for the great experience.

My first time here with my family on a rainy Saturday night, so the line was literally out the door. Thankfully we had reservations, and our tables were promised on time. The waitress was very nice and the hostess accommodated our 1 year old’s needs.
We started out with the ever so famous bang bang shrimp. This appetizer lived up to every bit of its hype! If I weren’t with my family I would have fought the party for all the shrimp. Next, we got the calamari. All I need to say is that I’ve had better. I was in a burger and coke mood that night, silly I know. But the burger was delicious and filling. I was only able to finish half of the burger. I also grabbed a few bites of my father’s crab fried rice. My parents loved this side! That’s coming from people who cook fried rice in their sleep, so you know that means a lot.
I’d definitely come back on Wednesdays for their bang bang shrimp special. Otherwise, the menu isn’t to die for.

Waiting 20 minutes before anyone even says Boo?
30 minutes and we STILL don’t have our water/​drinks. Waiting ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES BEFORE 3 of 4 of us got a SINGLE THING TO EAT? Then when the food came, it was not even REMOTELY hot or even warm.
That’s not a server problem. Thats not a kitchen problem That’s a MANAGEMENT problem! It took them a solid 10 minutes to bring out the last entrée and it was burned!
We learned that THERE WAS NO MANAGER ON DUTY for the first hour of our wait.
WHAT?
Our server (Samantha) was a breath of fresh air and the only redeemable thing about our entire visit to this one-​time outstanding restaraunt! She did an EXCELLENT job with the hand that she had been dealt. Come to find out she was cussed out by the manager for sticking up for her table and commandeering the final entrée and FINALLY bringing it out to the table. Samantha was very apologetic, very cheery and she told us, VERY GRATEFUL to have her job at Bonefish!
Needless to say we received no bill (even for drinks) at this atrocious Sunday afternoon dinner with the family!
The last 4 visits (of literally dozens over the years) we noticed the food quality had really gone down. This used to be on our very FAVORITE ‘go to’ places not only for casual great food but MANY special occasions. NO MORE. The 4 people in out party are 200% done with this Bonefish location.
And I do mean DONE!
They do not even deserve a one star rating in ANY way!

Last time i was here. A year ago last easter the service was really bad and the food came cold. We decided to give it a try last nights as it was convenient for a family get together. Well big turn around all around. It was busy night they sat us down on time. The server was nice friendly and efficient. Oysters on th half shell were fresh great taste. Filet and crab cake dish was tasty and i really enjoyed my meal and time with family members. Manager even came by to check on us. Overall a nice experience. Will be back!

It has been awhile since I’ve been to a Bonefish. This is the perfect date night restaurant!
My fiancé and I came around 10:30 pm on a Friday night. She ordered the lobster tail, and I had the sirloin and crab cake. And WOW. My crab cake was the most perfect I’ve ever had, absolutely bursting with flavor. The sirloin was medium rare, adding a nice meaty buttery taste to the after math of my crab cake. We both had veggies on the side. My fiancé enjoyed her lobster tails!
Our server was wonderful and attentive. I needed a sharper knife, and he came back with a perfectly sharp knife for me instantly. He was quick and focused, (even though it was a busy night!) now that’s a good server.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Our experience there tonight was fabulous, and we will be returning.

A notable meal can make a lasting memory and influence your future food preferences, but Bonefish plays it safe with too many Tacos, Bowls and Flatbreads. I’d like them to stay the course serving fresh fish and shellfish and not lose sight of their mission while trying to please the entire dining community.

Our favorite brunch in St. Pete. Great food, unlimited mimosas. The bartenders are the best! They are attentive, creative, and personable.
