Had breakfast twice here, it was wonderful. No complaints. Food was better than expected. We had pancakes, eggs, French toast, oatmeal, fruit plate — really tried the entire breakfast menu and nothing was less than great. Service was great. Only thing, if you get eggs ask if they will be served on a hot plate — as it causes them to cook a bit more from the time they leave the kitchen to time you eat them. My husband ordered over medium and by the time he got to them they were over hands. Next morning he ordered over easy and but the time he got to them they were a perfect over medium. Will be back again.

As with a previous reviewer, we came into an empty restaurant at 5:30pm. We were surprised at the cost of most items. We ordered the beef brisket($ 25) and a BBQ chicken flat bread($ 14). Waitress was great and the food came out fast but that is where the praise ends. The flat bread was tasty but very thin. Not at all filling. The brisket was dry and the beans served with it were cold on the bottom. Had to wonder if the meals were pre-made and then microwaved rather than fresh. My recommendation, leave the beach area and enjoy great food on Central or downtown.

Walked in to an empty restaurant. Was told to sit wherever we want, so we sat at the bar. No bartender was present, a server came out and started folding napkins. No one came to give us menus after making eye contact with two servers. After waiting 10 minutes without being approached by anyone we got up and left. The hostess could care less and said have a nice day. Waste of time go somewhere else.

I was really hoping to enjoy this place as the hotel is really attractive. My wife and I arrived for a late lunch and the place was empty except for a few people at the bar. It took quite a while for anyone to come greet us and just getting waters took easily 15 minutes. We got the spinach artichoke dip(creamy and bland), coconut crusted chicken(dry!) and chicken quesadilla(bland again, perhaps why they serve it with a bucket of guacamole. Overall, very disappointing since the décor is really cool and it’s in a good location. Especially considering the price, you can do a heckuvalot better.

Writers are using this page to review the PCI Grill(outside bar near the sand), the hotel, etc. The Boathouse Kitchen is the name of the INSIDE restaurant off the lobby. People who stay at the hotel get a $ 5 credit on one visit there. The waiter was quick and smiling. The online recipe noted V-8. The waiter said they don’t serve it any more. I had the iciest tomato juice instead. It was great.($ 3) A nice waffle went by me, looking delicious. I chose to use my credit on the Steak Benedict with Bearnaise, a $ 15 item. It came with one egg broken and both eggs on the runnier side of poached. I asked for medium rare steak and pretty much received steak tartare blackened on the outside(or very very rare, cold center). To send it back I would’ve had to wait for an entire ‘nother meal so I ate it. The muffin was soggy on top but not cut-able on the bottom. Flavors weren’t bad and I really wanted to love it but it just was not properly cooked. They were served with wedge potatoes that were as orange as sweet potatoes but a dry white potato bathed in some kind of coating with no flavoring. The menu looked delicious but this experience did not make me desire to come back. $ 16 breakfast WITH the coupon and food not properly cooked.

I came here for a bachelorette party, there were 8 girls all rowdy, but they brought out a free drink for the bride and drinks for us all later on. We ordered just appetizers but everything was amazing! The service was amazing and the staff was very friendly!

Bar right on the beach with bar seating and picnic tables. Live music every night I was there. Laid back and relaxed atmosphere. When ordering food it’s prepared in the restaurant inside the hotel. The Lobster Bisque was my favorite thing. Enjoyed a red wine sangria at sunset every evening.

Had breakfast here and it was delightful. The coffee was strong and served with cream, which is always nice. My fiancé and I both had omelettes, and they were both delicious and served with plenty of roasted potatoes and toast. We also attended a private event that was catered by the hotel and it was really well done. Huge wings, coconut shrimp and balsamic blue cheese potato chips were on the menu and they were great. Check it out. The renovations are done and the place is adorable.

Soooooo I have some issues, the food was not good at all and when I asked for a side of mayonnaise because I like to slather everything in it all real nice like I was handed two small packets of really hot mayo, it must just sit out there… Now I’m sure that’s okay for mayo but eeeee, it was hot mayo, just say it… hot mayo. I asked what the best drink was and the bartender suggested the margarita, it came in a plastic cup and tasted like water, so it was not good, yet it was pricey. The bartender was very nice however there was nobody there at the bar and yet he was running around like he stepping on hot coals, I have no idea what he was doing. I can’t imagine what that place is like when it is busy though, you could just see the wear from all the drinks spilled, the smell of old alcohol not properly cleaned off the floor and the bench I sitting in was sticky. The inside of the hotel looked very nice, but we only walked through there to get to the tiki hut.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel and ate here once for dinner and once for breakfast. When we went for dinner, the football game was on and they gave us a hard time for wanting to sit in front of the television because they reserve the booths for bigger parties, however, the entire restaurant was empty. The waitress was nice and my boyfriend had a bottle of miller light and the jerk chicken and I had the lobster ravioli. The food was good, but it was overpriced. Our meal totaled $ 65, plus tip. We went back for breakfast in the morning for some quick eggs over medium and bacon before hitting the beach. Again, our waitress was nice, but must have forgotten about us because our over-medium eggs were extremely over-done and the plates were so hot, that they must have been sitting under the heat lamp for a while. So unfortunately, we just have up, paid our check, and went to Beverly’s café up the street, which was fantastic.

Ate here for breakfast three days in a row because we were staying at the hotel. First day: Had the crab cakes benedict-was delicious! Male waiter was attentive, food was great, eggs were poached perfect on the benedict, potatoes were seasoned well. Left full, satisfied and excited to eat here the next couple of days. Second day: Cute waitress, but she was kind of clueless. Had the beef tenderloin benedict, the eggs all around were not correct. The eggs were supposed to be poached with a runny yolk, they were semi-hard. Both of the plates were super hot to the touch, even the waitress commented how hot they were– based on what the bernaise sauce looked like and the fact that the eggs were overcooked, I’m going to make an educated guess that the dishes were left under the heat lamps for too long. Husband sent his eggs back, and they were much better. Tenderloin was seasoned well, but english muffin underneath was soggy. Third day: Went with the PCI All American breakfast. Eggs, toast, potatoes, sausage. Husband got bacon instead of sausage. The sausage was really flavorful, and the bacon was crispy. The potatoes had no seasoning, which was disappointing because they were seasoned so well and were delicious on the previous two days. Husbands eggs were overcooked again, we were in a hurry so he didn’t send them back. For what prices are, this place isn’t really worth it, in my opinion.

Cool, weathered and fun beach bar. PCI is at the back of the Post Card Inn(which is a hotel that looks like it just got a fresh update for the hipsters). The vibe is cool walking in from the front — surfboards, shabby chic, beach grasses, chalkboards, board games — it’d be going a little too far to say a St Pete Beach W Hotel or Kimpton — so cut that image in half and you might get close — at any rate — it’s cool. So go all the way to the back to the beach and you’ll find a great bar with great music. It seems like the crowd is a little cooler than Jimmy B’s or Toasted Monkey down the beach, but you never know because crowds change from day to day depending upon who’s there and the weather. Drinks were a little pricey($ 12.50 for a rum and coke) — but it was good, music was cool and the scene was great. Go for sunset!

PCI is a cool divey beach bar. Locals know it from long ago as the Swigwam, but ownership changes chased them out and Swigwam can now be found over on Corey Ave, unfortunately not on the beach. One word of warning; on weekends, and spring break, PCI and Jimmy B’s next door, are the places the college kids and twenty-somethings hang out, so it can get loud and raucous on those days, and unfortunately, a bit dirty from morons leaving garbage all over the beach. It’s still fun though; a nice place to catch a few drinks but probably not eat. Anyway, the bar itself is mostly wood decking surrounding the center bar, random license plates and things scattered about the walls. There are large permanent wood stools surrounding the bar itself with walk up ordering on the east end(hotel side). There are bench-style tables along two of the walls and open air on the beach side. There are very tall beach chairs that sit two or three on the actual sand, but there aren’t many of these, so you have to get there early if you want to snag one for sunset watching. Sunset watching is one great aspect of this place since the bar is adjacent to the sand; no obstructions. Drink prices are what I’d call fair, but typically they’re also strong, so it isn’t horrible. I’ve asked to have drinks topped off before and haven’t been shot down, so as long as they continue to do that, I’ll continue to stop by. Food is available via the hotel; it’s run of the mill beachbar food. Many days of the week they have live music; typically small one or two man bands under a tent adjacent to the bar. My favorite aspect of PCI Bar is that it makes an excellent starting point for a pub crawl to Undertow, or an ending point from Undertow. If you’re in fair shape, that’s a 1.5 mile pub crawl across the sand. You’ll want to start at PCI, stop at Jimmy B’s next door, Toasted Monkey next to them, now you’ve got a nice buzz going and a bit of a longer haul down to Sandbar Bills. Second to last stop is Bongos, then end at Undertow. You’ll be ready for your cab ride home at this point. I like this direction the best because you have the longer walks after a bunch of drinks. If you’re staying on the beach, such as at PCI, Beachcomber or HoJo, then start at Undertow and head north, then you can just stumble into your room after slamming three drinks back to back from those last three stops lol.

This place is legit. The food was great, the location was alright. Came down for a wedding a day early and stayed here the first night. PCI is a cool, chic place and very comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming here. Definitely stay here, they have games outside and an awesome beach bar area. It’s perfect for a lax trip.

After sitting for five minutes in an empty restaurant at 1:45 in the afternoon, the four of us got up and left. As we were leaving, a server showed up. When we said we’re leaving, his response was«OK, see us.» Went one block down street to Boulevard Burgers. Great service, great food. PCI would be a good place to open a restaurant because it sure isn’t one now.

Overall, the ambiance was lacking, but the food itself was quite tasty(we had a margherita flatbread and blackened grouper sandwich) and we left satisfied with the service. We would eat here again if we return for another stay at the PCI.

Well maybe I had a few too many when I ate here last. The menu online and in the restaurant did NOT match. The waitress was MIA. They added gratuity and still took money without offering change. We will not be back.

I had such a great time at PCI this past weekend! I made the mistake of planning a girls day at the beach on a chilly weekend, so we shivered near the bar for most of the day. On a good note, by mid-afternoon it either warmed up or we had stopped caring. We arrived around 11:30am on Saturday and were the only group at the bar. We ordered strawberry daiquiris, which were delicious, and soon after had a raspberry lemon drop shot. Yum! I entrusted my drink orders to the bartenders after that and was pleased with all but one. My favorite(other than the strawberry daiquiri) was a frozen mango drink that was incredible. A friend of mine was the only one to order food, which was a caesar wrap. She said it was good and the fries I snuck were tasty and crisp. At some point in the afternoon, a lot more people showed up and the place was really packed but still not uncomfortable. I’d say the drink prices are about average for a beach bar. I spent about $ 70(including tip) and was there until 6:00pm. I foresee plenty of trips to PCI this summer once it warms up even more! My friends and I had a great time hanging out and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Shout out to our awesome bartenders Solomon and Kyle who stuck it out with us all day!

I love a good beach bar. And PCI Bar & Grill is just that. Walk up from the beach, or visit from the pool area for a delicious drink or some food. Their drink menu is extensive and I appreciate all the fruity frozen options. I got the mahi sandwich from the grill and quite enjoyed it! Their homemade chips are so good. I love the picnic tables– plenty of seating to enjoy your food(and not have to bring it back to the beach) There was a guitar playing singing and playing some great music. Also a beach volleyball court. The atmosphere was exactly what you’d want out of a beach bar and grill. Love this place!

The best thing about St Pete Beach is that it’s lined with hotels, almost every one utilizes their real estate with a beach front bar and/or restaurant(all open to the public). Among the half a dozen or so I had the pleasure of checking out PCI Bar ended up being my favorite. If it wasn’t for the bartender who spent more time chatting with customers than helping me I would have been more inclined to give them 5 stars. Do note that we didn’t have any food here so the review is just for the space and drinks only. PCI has a very Carribean type weathered bar covered in licence plates. It’s a square bar so there’s plenty of room at the bar. There’s also a decent size deck with a few more seats. This is right beside the beach which they have a couple corn hole boards set up and a few lifeguard type chairs. Their menu isn’t much, mostly sandwiches and wraps but at least it’s available. They have a drink menu full of fun and delicious sounding tropical cocktails, mostly around $ 8 and good beer prices(starting at $ 4 I believe). The rum runner I got was perfect, it was my favorite of the day(I tried 4 different ones). If I make it down to the area again we will make sure to come back to PCI and stay awhile.

Super cute place and I’ve been hearing about it for years. Such a unique concept of guests being able to party all night and then check out their hotel rooms. Every room has its own little front yard and hammock in front. I also heard they do weddings in the center courtyard. Foodwise they were good as well but nothing too remarkable. We all ordered omelets and they were standard. I wish the veggie omelet automatically came with cheese but we were kind of preoccupied at the time to remember to ask for it… well I know I was. For you see, my boyfriend(now fiancé!) had just proposed to me minutes before we sat down at this restaurant! It was pretty nice though and the waitress seemed a bit stressed but she was nonetheless pleasant. I would definitely want to come back and try other menu items.

I can sum this place up with one word… eeeew. It was filthy, disgusting and smelled awful. The crowd kind of reminded me of a frat party; young, loud and extremely inebriated. There were and cans and bottles strewn all over the sand. It was pretty disgusting.

I really like pci if not just for the view and that they have some pretty god drinks. We went down there Friday though and the place was dead… I’ve never seen so few people there it blew my mind. We still had a good time and enjoyed our drinks and the stars and the ocean but no where near the crowd as we are used to there. What’s the deal?

Let’s get that out up front: This is not good BBQ. Maybe because we’re from Kansas City we have higher expectations for BBQ, but really this is average at best. Service here is lacking. We sat for 10 minutes and no one came to take our order. We had to go ask the hostess to get a server to our table. I had fresh fish sandwich, it was great. That’s the only reason for the 3 stars. My husband had the burnt ends. They were soaked in BBQ sauce. Good BBQ isn’t slathered in sauce and you can taste the flavor of the meat and smoke. Once we got a serve, he was great. Helpful ordering and friendly. In my opinion you can’t take away stars for bad customers who don’t parent their children and drag down your experience. But for those parents who let their 6 kids under the age of 7 sit at a table alone while they drank and ignored them… 0 Stars for them on parenting… seriously! Really there are lot better options than this place. We would not go back. Go spend a bit more at 1200 Chophouse, you won’t be disappointed there.
