Stayed here for three nights. Front desk staffs were very nice. The room is fully renovated so it’s great! It’s a beauty! It’s another experience I get to have with my hubby! There was this one old house keeper guy who said something to us that’s a bit inappropriate. We mentioned it to the front desk but they seemed to want nothing to do about it. Oh well. It’s still a nicer nice hotel! Update: Staying here again in less then a month. They have their problems.(Which place doesn’t?) they are very good at taking care of it! Something happened to the dishwasher and they moved us into another room within half an hour and also took off a chunk of our bill and gave us free breakfast! Very nice place and ppl! Will stay again! ;)

What a disappointment!!! We booked because it was associated with the Don Cesar… and on the beach. We parked and walked to the registration area… bare gravel… no landscaping… felt like a motel 6… got on the elevator and it was filthy and dusty… the desk clerk was understanding and helpful… we got to our room, and discovered the bedroom overlooks the parking lot and construction… since we didn’t get in until late we didn’t choose to find another place for the night… This is awful. No where near the standard of the elegant Don Cesar!

Renovations will be complete by Mid-Feb. Right now, the place in overrun with noisy, messy construction workers(7 days a week). My brand-new room was nice but it had some glaring flaws. Terrible workmanship for a new room that was taken down to the studs. Super crooked electrical outlets and switches, paint on hinges. The window in the bedroom of my one bedroom suite faced the outside(public) hallway. Rather unnerving(see photo). I was quite nervous about sleeping there… especially with the extra traffic of the construction workers walking past. The door to my room was super flimsy… did not feel safe. The new design of the suite was very nice but I can guarantee you that it will not age well due to the super-cheap fixtures they used. Items like interior doors, drawers, handles, towel racks, were all so flimsy… they won’t last. The soap ledge in the showers(two bathrooms in my suite) were SO tiny… who approved this??? Someone at Loews should be fired for the bad planning/design. See photo. Fortunately the front desk took $ 100 off my rate and removed the $ 25 «resort» fee when I complained. Thank you. This property will be nice(for St. Petes) when it is all done but I think it will hurt the Loews brand as I have much higher expectations for this company.

It was a pretty nice place. We had one room with a full bath, 2 fold out couches in the living room, another full bath, and a full kitchen. There was also a balcony overlooking the pool and beach. There is beach access from the hotel and seeing as you can get into the Don Cesar, you can use anything over there too. The management was very friendly and they offered a free breakfast(up to $ 60 daily) at the sea porch at the Don Cesar down the street. They had a buffet and it was delicious! They also offer a «shuttle»(a guy driving a minivan) to take you there, which is great to avoid parking. The only downside was that they had a lot of construction going on which made the elevator rides a little scary.

This place is a dump. Under construction/renovation and cannot even hear ourselves talk.

Me and two other friends booked this hotel for my friends bachelorette party. After checking in we decided to stay another night bc the room was large and the hotel is right on the beach. We called front desk and they said call the next morning. The next morning when we went down to stay another night they informed us the room would be an additional $ 100 a night, the night would of been a Sunday so we were shocked it would be that much more. Also, we were told there is a daily charge of $ 25 for simple things like wifi and pool chairs, things that are usually free. We were NOT informed of this hidden charge when we checked in it when we booked. We left and went to Alden down the street and stayed there with a much better experience.

Every room has a kitchen. It’s a cute place to stay in a great location. The bartender Brian makes incredible drinks. He’ll make something up himself or put a twist on an old classic. The pool is great for kids.

Staying at Don Cesar Beach Suites in St. Pete. We left our room at 9 a.m. this morning and returned around 4 p.m. Room had not been cleaned. On our way out at 5 p.m. we went by the front desk to ask for the room to be cleaned and were assured that it would be. Returned at 11 p.m. to a dirty room. $ 350 per night??? Seriously? I get better service from a $ 139 per night courtyard. Rooms are spacious but DEFINITELY in need of updating… parts of the bathroom mirror are falling off and the furniture is falling apart. Formica is separating in the kitchen. There are other hotels in the area that look to be in better shape for much cheaper.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a wedding a family member was having at the main Don Cesar. We were traveling with a baby so stayed here to have more space and conveniences. The rooms are huge. We had a complete kitchen with a refrigerator, toaster, oven etc. Great for making breakfast(lunch etc) for the kids who can bear to wait until all of the adults can get mobilized for dining out. I slept on a very comfortable pull out couch while my parents slept in the private bedroom with ensuite bathroom. I basically had my own bathroom as there is a second one in the main living space. The staff were very accommodating and provided us with a crib and a highchair for my 15 mon old son. Anyone trying to feed a toddler on the run knows that having a high chair on vacation is a life-saver. The crib was really nice, not just a pack n play. Balcony had gorgeous direct beach views. The pool area was very nice with free beach toys for my son to bring to the beach, free flotations devices, balls etc and, of course, towels. Everyone was super nice and friendly and were happy to call us shuttles and taxis when we needed it. We had planned on going up to the Don to use their facilities but we didn’t actually go over there except for the wedding because I felt we had everything we needed right where we were! Although there is not a restaurant on site, we ordered lunch twice from the Snack Shack which is nearby and delivers and also had dinner at Crabby Bills which has a fun family atmosphere. The Publix is also a short walk away(or a shuttle ride away if it’s raining etc). Great place. Would definitely come back again.

Three things: 1. The reservation was $ 800 for 2 nights. 2. There were multiple bed bugs crawling on the bed. We didn’t even unpack — we left as soon as we entered the room and saw them. 3. Don’t EVER stay here

Pros: It is a Loews property and they generally do a great job with their hotels. Also, you can go to the big Don Cesar down the street with a shuttle. Plenty of room with our suite. Nice to have a full kitchen including dishwasher and a great view of the ocean. Rooms in the back are smaller with views of the street. Cons: It is in need of updating. The suite is definitely older, Kitchen appliances, while they do work, look worn. The front door let’s in the most light I have ever seen come through a jamb. Needless to say it is drafty. No restaurant on site, but there is a small gift shop/snack shop.
