All I have had is the Saigon noodles. They are awesome I have my times during the year where I will go there a couple times a week to get that dish. I wish they had more choices then pork egg rolls though. Not a bad place for sure

I’ve returned several times to this restaurant & the staff is very friendly & the food is consistently delicious! PS they now serve plastic forks w carry out –which is great for the American diners who can’t or don’t want to eat salad w chop sticks :)

I was so excited when I found out that I lived down the street from a Vietnamese restaurant, but my excitement didn’t last very long. I am not very picky when it comes to banh xeo, but $ 12 is a lot for this dish, considering that I’d normally pay $ 7 – 10 at other Vietnamese restaurants. If I’m paying $ 12, I expect a good crêpe. The first time I ordered it, I got a crêpe that had a few holes in the pancake. It tasted pretty good. I thought if I ordered it a second time, it would be better. No, it was worse because there were more holes in it and these holes were gaping holes. I received a crêpe that had more filling than the yellow pancake could cover. I guess they didn’t put enough batter in when frying. It was fried more than necessary and very oily. Disappointing. I think the banh mi is expensive and small, but it tastes good. Namnam spring roll is solid and refreshing. Get it if you go. Service is usually slow. The servers are nice overall. My last visit threw me off though. My boyfriend and I walked in on a weekday evening. There was one other old couple dining in. We sat down and waited for a few minutes but nobody came to us. So we got up and walked to their kitchen window, where I could clearly see one woman on her cell phone and another woman standing across from her with her arms crossed. I could hear laughter and my boyfriend said hello… Before he could say anything else, he was cut off and told he could sit anywhere. Well, yeah, we knew that, but we wanted service. We waited another three or four minutes until a server came over. Namnam isn’t my go to Vietnamese restaurant because of slow service and I think prices for some items are a bit too high. Other than that, the food is mostly good.

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant that I have been to anywhere in or near Louisville, KY. My favorite item on the menu, and I know it is probably too easy to say this for a Vietnamese restaurant, is the Combination Phở. The Phở is not oily at all, plus it has heaping servings of whichever kind of meat you desire, I suggest mixing about a tablespoon of Hoisin sauce into the Phở. The Imperial Rolls are always crispy and fresh, I am just not a huge fan because they taste bland like an unseasoned meatball wrapped in a wonton wrapper and fried. The Banh Mi sandwiches are amazing; my favorite is definitely the Vietnamese Special, which is a Salami and Pork Pâté with Pickled Carrots, Cilantro, Jalapeños, Scallions, Cucumbers and an Aioli all on a Crispy French Baguette. Also, the Summer Roll starter is a good way to begin a meal, especially with some Hoisin sauce on it. You can’t go wrong with Nam Nam Café if you are looking for some great Vietnamese food for lunch or dinner.

This place was a great lunch find, took clients here for a business lunch and everyone loved their food. Saigon noodles were great!

Great vegetarian food choices. Try the hot pots when the weather is cold, or a cold dish for summer, they’re both wonderful. Good selection of beer as well.

Food is just ok, very slow service… We ordered two noodle soup and it was basically nothing, large bowl with mostly just water soup. Two pieces of beef and that was it. I was still hungry after the noodle soup which never happens if they give full size.

This place has great food. I love eating lunch here with my family. Every time I have come here the service has been exceptionally well. Unfortunately, it seems as though things have recently gone downhill. I ate here a few days ago with my mother, and our server was on drugs. She mumbled her words, and her behavior was very erratic. Our drinks were never refilled, and it took us forever to receive our food. The group of people sitting near us ordered their food about 5 minutes after my mother and I ordered ours. It took them so long to get their food they had to get their orders to-go and leave. The server acted like she was insulted because of that. It was very awkward to me. Get another server. The young lady working there cannot serve worth a crap. She is giving Nam Nam’s a bad name. God knows what drug she was high on while at work.

It’s always a good sign when you text multiple people to exclaim about a meal. Nam Nam Café gave me that meal! I love Asian cuisine, but I wasn’t sure exactly what to get. I started ordering one item(mi xao), but after saying I wanted it a little spicy the waiter recommended a different dish. I’m so glad he did! The Saigon Noodles definitely had a kick, but it wasn’t overwhelming. I took some home and couldn’t wait to heat it up in a few hours. Made my day twice! One thing to note, the restaurant is all about the food, so there isn’t much atmosphere. The waitstaff is super friendly. They also get very busy during lunchtime.

Shaking beef was delicious — though the portion was a little on the small side. The Vietnamese tacos were yummy :) the phở was not the best I’ve had, noodles were a little thick. Small and intimate setting on the«patio».

I wanted Vietnamese food on a Wednesday, and since my go to is closed on Wednesdays, I thought I would give Nam Nam a try! This place is quite small compared to what I was expecting, but the staff greeted me immediately and were very much on their«A game»!! The honeydew bubble tea was to die for! Although it was the first time I’ve had bubble tea without the tapioca beads, I must say, this drink still had a ton of froth and sweetness to it — just how I remember it as a kid! Because I’m gluten free, there was a limited amount of items I could safely consume. I ordered the Saigon Noodles and that dish did NOT disappoint! I like my food spicy, and on its own it had a good amount of heat to it. I still added sriracha to mine to bring it to an extra spicy level. The serving was HUGE too! It’s literally enough to serve 2 people. I don’t know about the rest of their food, but if all the portions are this big, this would be a great place to go split a meal for a cheap date! This will be my go to on Wednesdays where I got a hankering for Vietnamese food, and during the month of July when the folks of Vietnam Kitchen are on vacay.

Bamboo roll, awesome… The taro bubble tea was very good but not as many jellies I would have liked. I got the Vermicelli bowl with chicken… the flavor was good but too many noodles!!! I prefer something a little more traditional but this place is pretty good.

This is my first visit. I had the Imperial role. It’s a fried crispy roll field with pork, shrimp and vegetable. It was very small but very delicious! I also had to Vietnamese tacos. They had carrots cilantro jalapenos and cucumbers. I decided on the lemongrass chicken filled. Overall very impressed with the taste and quality of the food! Service was good and the price was reasonable. The tacos cost me $ 8 and it was an additional $ 1.50 for the Imperial Roll.

Despite living really close I don’t seem to go here very often. That has to change! The Bahn Mi is a great sandwich if you are looking for something a bit lighter for lunch(or dinner). The Singapore Noodles are really good if you want a bit more substance. They’re a bit spicy sort of like a yellow curry but they aren’t really saucy, just coated in a thick curry type sauce. A good spice level for me but I’m sure too spicy for some! The place is pretty small but never seems to be busy for some reason. If you ever go to Simply Thai and it’s too crowded this is right across the street! Check it out!

Typically, I’m a chicken eater; however, I make an exception for beef at Nam Nam, specifically for the Vietnamese Noodle Soup Phở. If you prefer well done, get the brisket. After talking with the owner, I found that when he annually travels to Vietnam to visit family, he actually brings back fresh herbs and spices for the perfect Phở broth. On a cold, dismal winter day when you’re longing for warmth, order the Phở. If you have a cold, follow these directions to cure it: call ahead of time to avoid waiting in the busy first dining room, take home said Phở, pour a glass of Shiraz, wrap yourself in a blanket, and slurp the winter blues or ills away. Or eat it while relaxing in the warm bath. You’re awesome. You deserve to indulge. If you’re not in the mood for soup, go for the Fish Tacos drizzled with Sriacha aioli. Get an avocado shake to balance the spice. These are by far the best fish tacos in Louisville now that Taco Punk has relocated to New Albany. Tip: When arriving for dinner, you’ll get the best spot in the sun room and quickly if you arrive no later than a half hour after they open. Use Spot On rewards to get free drinks, shakes, entrees, etc.

Part I «What’s your favorite dish, Ms. Waitress?» «Seafood Crêpe. BAM!”** (((Seafood crêpe? Whaaaaat?! What do you mean?))) Intermission (Ordered it. waiting in the quaint intimate restaurant) Part II «OMGAMAAAAAZING!!!» The wait is worth it!!! Get it. Eat it. Order seconds. ** I may have embellished a bit :)

Came here on a Sunday night around 6:30 p.m. and it was pretty bustling when I walked in. The front dining area is small and they have a carry out window straight ahead once you walk inside the door. There also seemed to be extra seating through a door on one side of the restaurant, but that door was kept closed, so I’m not sure how much more seating is back there. There was a cute table for two right by the window still available, so I decided to eat in, rather than get carry out. I seemed to be the only person who was here dining alone, but people watching the other tables was pretty interesting. I ordered the Buddha Roll(vegetarian), which was HUGE. I mean seriously these two rolls were gigantic(and also delicious). I also ordered the Vietnamese Sandwich(Banh mi) w/tofu which was also super good… especially with this aioli they put on it. My server was also highly attentive and brought me extra napkins before I even realized that I needed them. Excellent service. Will definitely seek this place out again next time I am in Louisville.

Namnam is a tiny cute place tucked away in this shopping plaza. The indoor seating area is small so we opted to seat outside when we went in the warmer months, there were little plants that defined seating area. We got the thai iced coffee(of course) and taro bubble tea, both were good but I’ve had better taro bubble teas. Food– we had the Vietnamese taco, Phở and Shaking beef. Phở and taco were delicious! Try them! The shaking beef can’t even compared next to those 2 yummy dishes.

Namnam has a great selection of Vietnamese cuisine standards, and has vegan phở available among other vegan options(and of course, good choices for meat eating omnivores as well). I had the tofu vermicelli bowl after sharing some tasty spring rolls(called something different, but the vegetarian ones) — on the menu, the banh mi looked good, but there wasn’t a vegan sauce option. Still, the vermicelli bowl was of hefty size and I devoured it – the tofu was really nicely spiced. Would come back again!
