Had a great waiter named Buddy help me decide what I wanted, got the chicken kebab dinner plate with the garlic sauce. I wanted chicken shish tawok which they have on the lunch plate, and he said this was basically the same dish. He was right, it was great and it was exactly what I was looking for. Loved the hummus, just so-so about the tabouli, and thought the tahini sauce is one of the best I’ve ever had.

Went for lunch today. Had the beef Schwarma plate with salad. It was excellent. I lived outside Detroit for a few years so I know what good middle eastern food is about. This place is spot on! Will be back!

Real good food… The Kebobs are juicy and have the right amount of spices. The Kibbeh is bland and I won’t suggest that. the jallab is the thing that kick-starts your day. The rice they serve I just wow. Good place to visit once in a while

Meh! I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been so yummy… this afternoon, it was a complete miss!!! The baba ganoush was beyond bad, like nothing I’ve ever seen before outside of a grocery store and the pits was really stale, and usually it is puffy soft clouds of bready dreams… the hummus was off and my Lebanese Coffee was… weak, actually it was super bad… actually had to walk down the street to get my fix and a thick, strong, cardamom delight!!! However…everything else was good. Usually this place is divine!!! I just came on an off day. Go and try for yourself… but I felt, if the owners read these, they should know… we count on you for consistency and your usual yumminess!

Solid Mediterranean restaurant! My family came here about 20 minutes before closing but they were still happy to serve us. Our waiter was really nice. They have seating inside and outside if you want to enjoy the weather. The food itself was pretty good! I got the Shishtawook sandwich and it was so flavorful. We also got the Lebanese hamburger, the mixed grill plate, The Vine sandwich and an order of fries. Everyone liked the food and service. Will definitely come back!

This review has been a long time coming. I have eaten here many times, and never disappointed. The place is clean, inviting. Love sitting out side and watching the action on the street. You see some crazy stuff in south St. Louis. I’m not big on falafel, except this place. Crispy outside, soft moist inside — yum. Everybody says the pickles are delicious. They serve them with almost everything. Reminds me of the St. Louis Lebanese church bake sales food. Lamb chops are also delicious. Took awhile to get the check as they were understaffed and waiter was also cooking. The have hookah on the patio. Will certainly be back.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. If you’re in the mood for some Mediterranean staples, this is the place to go! Plenty of outdoor seating on a nice day and a wide assortment of vegetarian options. Service was very attentive throughout our meal. Order the appetizer combo, where you can try 4 appetizers — highly recommend the hummus(smooth & creamy) and the babaghanoush(smoky flavor enhances it). The lebneh is also delicious, and the tabouleh is made authentically. The bread is served fresh and warm, smells divine, and is beautifully fluffy. The sandwiches are about 1 foot long, so I was able to share it with another person. Overall, this place did not compromise on taste or authenticity and I can’t wait to go back!

Wednesday at 7pm — 15 mins for water, another hour for food(during which we didn’t see our server even once). Food came out short one guest’s dish(no apologies). Plates clean for 20 mins, no servers anywhere. Had to go inside to ask for the check(no apologies). Food was decent I guess but so overshadowed by the completely horrible service. Would never return or recommend this place to anyone.

I have had vine countless of times. I have only been to the restaurant and had a sit down dinner a few times though. My school usually waves the Vine in our face if they want us to come to a lunch meeting. It works I have had the chicken and beef shawerma and have enjoyed them. I am always disappointed however. I think that it is a great place to grab a bite to eat; however there are better places to eat on South Grand.

The food is always great. I’ve never had a bad meal. However, service is hit or miss. If the food wasn’t as wonderful as it is, the poor service I had last time would keep me from returning. Also, they clean the tables next to you with a bottle of heavily scented industrial bathroom cleaner. You can smell and almost taste it in the air when trying to eat your meal. It’s completely disgusting. I think they could use something milder while people are in the restaurant eating.

Fantastic food and nice servers. The plates are super yummy and the sandwiches are a great inexpensive bite. Don’t miss the Lebanese nachos or the lentil soup

The food was excellent. I had Lebanese Nachos as an appetizer and didn’t have room for dinner. The staff was very nice. I ordered a Shishtawook which I will be eating tomorrow. It was a laid-back atmosphere. Our food arrived very quickly, but it isn’t Mediterranean style to be rushed. I wouldn’t come here if I were in a hurry. It’s a place to enjoy your friends and meal! I’m definitely coming here again. The price is very affordable. I was here on a Saturday evening. For two of us we didn’t have a wait. A larger party behind us did thou. It was clean, it wasn’t loud. It was reallly enjoyable. There are vegetarian options easily marked.

I live in the neighborhood and have to eat here at least once a week. my favorite is the chicken shawarma with tabouleh salad. I’m obsessed ! they also have great Turkish coffee. the staff is very friendly and will help explain any menu items you are not familiar with. This makes it super easy to try new things. They have patio seating during the summer(or when ever it’s warm in MO), which makes for some interesting people watching on South Grand.

Hands down the best Mediterranean cuisine in STL. They have the staples you would expect from a Mediterranean restaurant like the hummus, which is perfection, and then some items I have not seen anywhere else in STL, like the Fattoush, which is super fresh, snappy & pleasing to the palate. My go-to is the Chicken Schwarma entrée. The thinly sliced chicken is tender, and the flavors in the rice are unique & tasty… I have not experienced that taste anywhere else. The sauce is very garlicky… I love it! Today I was extremely excited to see that the pink pickled turnips(or whatever they are) have returned to this entrée!!! I love those things and was so disappointed when they were no longer gracing me with their beautiful salty presence. It looked as though they were permanently gone… until today!!! Please keep the pink things coming, Vine! The food here is so cravable and very reasonably priced, which is why I’m here pretty much every week. Also, if you are a french fry enthusiastic, you must try their fries! They’re hand cut and garnished with fresh parsley, yum! Plus, you get a huge amount for the price!

Went here for the first time last evening. ABSOLUTELYLOVEDIT. Our server was wonderful — even though they were extremely busy, he was kind, patient, and really helpful. We ordered the appetizer sampler with labneh, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and kibbeh. We also ordered the mixed shawarma which came with tabouli. Everything was wonderful. My boyfriend is Lebanese and was THRILLED that everything was authentic — not Americanized. They had run out of homemade bread so our server brought us thin pita for the labneh but near the end of our meal, our server brought us the freshly made pita bread and it was heaven. We will definitely come back frequently.

Went here with some friends after forgetting about this place only to remember how flippin’ good it is. We got the appetizer sampler to which I initially scoffed at the price($ 15) but upon seeing just how much food came with it I changed my mind. We got the Baba Ganough(which came with a bunch of pita bread, four came home with us), Stuffed grape leaves, a giant heap of Tabouli, and Makdoos which I had never heard of before. –The Baba Ganough was fantastic, as was all that pita bread(which we used for pretty much dipping or filling with everything else as well). I would fight a man for this stuff. –The Tabouli was really fresh. It was mostly parsley, but still really delicious. We had leftovers. –The Grape Leaves I personally loved but weren’t my friends favourite(so I ate hers, mwaha). Nice texture, kind of tangy. She likes lemon on hers which I wouldn’t have liked. They came with some nice pickles which we all ate. –The Makdoos were … interesting. I’m not a huge fan of eggplant and these weren’t our fave of the bunch, but they were still very fresh and great quality. I personally wouldn’t order them again, but if someone else did I would happily eat one. They got some wraps which they loved, and I just got a simple side of fries. That«side» of fries was so huge I had leftovers, even though I couldn’t stop eating them. My whole part of the meal came to ten bucks(factoring tax and tip) which was insane. I won’t lie, I’m a cheap date, so this was an unexpected bonus. However with this place in the future I won’t factor in the end dollar amount. I’ll get what I want because I know it’s gonna be good. TL;DR — Good fresh quality food. Nice portions. Probably not the healthiest(lotta oils, whatev) but it’s –real– food.

Pretty underwhelming, really. A friend and I split some hummus and shawerma, plus a falafel plate and the lamb kabob. Hummus was fine, not particularly awesome, but certainly not bad either. The beef shawerma has a nice crust on it, and was seasoned pretty well. The bread served along side was… bad. Very thin, chewy pita, with no real flavor. I hold all pita to the standard of Naf Naf, so I know no one will compare, but this was further towards the bad end of the scale than most. We got a second basket of it towards the end of the meal, and it was at least a little more leavened, but still kind of tough and flavorless. My lamb was inconsistently done, and a little tough — OK flavor, but the cut just wasn’t all that great. It was served on a large bed of rice that was well seasoned(with I think a little cardmom?) but not exceptional. The falafel plate was a large serving of about 10 falafel, but they featured very crisp outsides with kind of dry, crumbly insides. Not terribly well seasoned, not tender and moist like some I’ve had. Just… not great. Which really is the theme for most of this meal. I know there are a bunch of places in Chicago that are better than this — Naf Naf, Nesh, Benjehuda, even I Dream of Falafel, all available in the Loop for my lunch enjoyment. I don’t know if similar options exist in St. Louis, but I would definitely try other options before coming back here.

YOUCANNOTDRINKHERE. Just want to make that clear. Great food and it came out fast. I had the chicken shwarma plate. Warning you though that you will taste garlic for the next 48 hours after eating it. I would not recommend Vine for a date but it’s a great quick, casual food spot if you want good food and to eat quickly.

My favorite place to eat at when I come to St. Louis! Always get the chicken/beef Shawarma sandwich which always hits the spot, and sometimes Falafel appetizers. If you want to get fries I would recommend just getting one order of fries since it’s a huge portion of fries and one person usually can’t finish on their own. Also you get a great bang for your buck, my whole meal: Shawarma, fries and a drink wasn’t even $ 10 and I was really full after eating. If you like Mediterranean food you should eat here, they also have a market in the store and the sell hookahs as well.

The hummus was finger-licking good. Pita was fresh and warm and the entrees were delicious. Portion size is huge. This place was recommended by an Arab friend and it is his favorite Mediterranean restaurant in St. Louis. It most certainly is my new favorite Mediterranean food joint.

I’m not really much into Mediterranean food but my friends decided to eat here one night. The food was better than I thought(we had pita bread, I think, with hummus and eggplant or something.) and it was not a let-down. This is probably the first place I’ve ever been to that has a french-fry sandwich. I kid you not. Luckily I wasn’t that hungry so I ordered it with no sides. It was actually very good! We ate outside, which was a blessing and a curse. Great because it was a nice Friday night, weather wise and people everywhere around south St. Louis on Grand. After we ordered, we heard some guy randomly yell ‘Son of a *****’ and started running like a madman. Apparently a woman had her purse taken from her while she was sitting. I know it was not the restaurant’s fault this happened, but it gave me a certain impression about that part of town, which I never go to that often. Moral of the story: be very careful of your possessions when you’re in an open area like that. I know crime happens everywhere, but that freaked me out!

This place is soooo amazing. I would give it 6 stars if I could because both the service and food were that good. Our waitress was probably the best waitress I’ve ever had, and we got so much food. We sought shade outside under an umbrella, the wind rustling our hair and the sun warming our backs. Little tweety birds stole crumbs of pita. We sipped on refreshing limonana, mint mustaches lining our lips. Then when our food came, we rejoiced in thick, creamy llabneh with olive oil and za’atar scooped up with a ton of pita, tabouleh, salad, and our entrees. My dining partner got chicken kabob and I got salmon. Both came with white sauce, a metric ton of rice and delicious roasted vegetables. Neither of us could finish our food. I can’t wait to come back for another amazing experience!
