This is my type of bar! The drinks always have a little extra in them! Complimentary food and sweet décor!

This place is what Cheers would look like if they decided to film the show in an old hunting lodge in the woods in Missouri instead of filming the the show in Boston. The bar has lots of denizens, who come from near and far. Welcoming staff, Pool, darts, shuffleboard, and karaōke. And, unlike a lot of bars in the St. Louis area, they do have non-alcoholic beer. Thumbs up.

This landmark is a secret gem to many in the Kirkwood area. Tucked away just beyond an ancient one lane railroad underpass, The Fireplace stands at the gateway to Tree Court industrial park. Heading down the long driveway at dark is reminiscent of a scene from a scary movie. It’s downright spooky. Once the trek down is complete, the dim outdoor lights of The Fireplace welcome patrons to this landmark. Make no mistake, this is not a high end spot. However, it is a cozy, friendly bar. Usually there are a handful of regulars sitting at the bar. The night we were there, they had a great karaōke DJ in there, and good times were rolling. There’s a jukebox too! As far as the accommodations, I think you can probably get a pizza or something, but you’re not there for the food. At this bar, you are sure to get a generous pour of whatever you are ordering. The beers are cold and the people are friendly. Two coin operated pool tables too. Be brave. Get a group of friends and head on down to The Fireplace. You will probably have a great time.
