Quickly becoming my girlfriend and I’s favorite place to get our comic book fix. They don’t always have everything, but they have A LOT. It’s tempting to take too much home sometimes. Everyone is very friendly there. We’ll be back many times in the near future.

This Fantasy Shop location has the best merchandise and comic book selection I’ve seen. The only thing that trumps the stock is that Scott (the manager) and his staff are always the friendliest and most knowledgable clerks that one could ask for. With writer signings and special events, they go out of their way to make the Fantasy Shop not just a retail store, but a social and creative experience for its customers as well. I can’t help but stop by every Wednesday after work for new releases. It’s a great environment in terms of customer base too, and you can always get a good conversation and laugh in when visiting. A great place for comic book fans of all ages.

Since my last less-​than-​positive review I have actually been back to this location a number of times due to having started at a position of employment not far from here. In the process of coming back the one gentleman I discuss whom bothers me is sometimes there being his usual standoffish self, but I have been lucky enough to also encounter other quite stellar employees who make me feel welcome at the shop. It goes to show that the people who work in a store are as important as the items that are sold. I will continue to stop by here on occasion and will avoid the employee who irritates me for all the ones who are awesome.

I know I’ve already reviewed a Fantasy Shop that’s closest to me. But I just have to let everyone know that merch-​wise, this is the shop to go to. The store is the nicest out of all of them. And I’ve found more of my prized variants here than anywhere else. The back of the store literally is just variants upon variants. The graphic novel selection is even huge and the staff is laid back. A must for anyone in need of their weekly comic haul.

This is not my local comic shop. I stopped by one afternoon to kill some time before a Cards game (we won 6 – 2 against the Braves). This a good shop. I was greeted courteously when I came in. The shop was clean and clearly organized. When I asked about the reading order of a couple of titles spinning out of Age of Ultron I got a helpful friendly answer. The gentleman behind the counter (Scott, I believe) helped my girlfriend pick out some gamer-​geek goodies for her son. We talked some Midwest cons and other good shops around the area. This is what a comic shop should be. Hell, this is what every store should be.

This is my quick go to shop since moving from Illinois. The reason I say «quick go to» is that there are some comics that I follow that they don’t carry.
Regardless, the staff is helpful and friendly and they HAVE comics that even my favorite comic stores lack. ;) (Tintin).
I will keep coming here!

Just moved into the area and went over there for the 1st time last week. Small store, but friendly and knowledgable staff. They didn’t have what I wanted (which was a little old), but immediately checked to see if it was available for order. It was and they ordered it for me. Best thing for me is that a related title came out this week and they set it aside for me, completely unprompted and I will get both when the order comes in. My husband was able to talk games with the guy as well while we browsed; they know their stock pretty well.
While we will undoubtedly go to one of their other locations at some point, that will be more for inventory reasons – bigger store=bigger backstock/​more back issues
Only 4 stars because I just started going there, but it’s a heck of a 1st impression!

I have been going to this comic shop for about 6 months now since it is the closet one for me since the other comic shop out in Ballwin on Manchester closed. The people who work here are great and take the time to help with any questions customers have and are very friendly. If you are wanting to get into comics they have a neat display with the employees top picks for the week. Not only do they sell comics but they also sell a good variety of board/​card/​games and superhero memorabilia. I have been to star clipper in the loop, which has a good variety of comics, the customer service and friendliness just isn’t up to par with The Fantasy Shop.
