I LOVE these guys! They go out of their way to help. I see these poor reviews here, and the people who try to write them don’t even know how to write a complete sentence yet can trash Checkered Flag on-​line w/​out fairness played. Checkered Flag guys KNOW THEIR STUFF and share all they know. They are just the BEST, and their regulars know it!

I saw the negative reviews and I have to say, I was wary about this place. I was in the neighborhood however, and wanted to decide for myself. I’m glad I did!
I actually signed up for Unilocal JUST to correct this injustice.
I was helped by Bob with my R/​C Car questions and purchases. The guy is like an encyclopedia, and VERY helpful. He never got tired of my questions even though I felt like I had an endless supply of them.
I don’t know if they took previous reviews seriously and re-​thought who they let work the counter or what, but I’m here to say I had an excellent experience shopping here. I will be back.

I remember going to Checkered Flag as a kid in the 80s. Was a very friendly, family owned place back then. Sadly that old Checkered Flag is a memory now; no reason to go here unless you like being talked down to by the sarcastic and impatient retirees behind the counter, dealing with absurd return policies, and somebody who doesn’t seem too sure of how her cash register works. Do yourself a favor and go to the nice people at Schaefer’s instead. And if Schaefer’s doesn’t have it, get it online from Tower Hobbies.
