Busy lunchtime meeting. Good was pretty fast to come out-a lot to choose from. I had the turkey club-I could only finish half and took the rest home. There was also a very large selection of baked goods that smelled and looked delicious… maybe next time. I will be back.(It was a bit noisy and crowded-so be prepared for that)

The Daily Bread is in my TOP3 of favorite lunch places in St. Louis. Honestly… It’s like what Bread Co. should be. Everything is made with care and extremely fresh. The soups do not all taste the same. Each one is flavorful and original. I have eaten here too many times to count but I did get to stop by for lunch today. I had the Daily Double with chicken and wild rice soup and the buffalo chicken flatbread sandwich. Their flatbread is most likely a freshly made pizza crust. It has just the right amount of chew. The buffalo chicken has a slight kick but nothing too major which works perfectly with the gorgonzola cheese and caramelized onions. Did I mention the ranch on the side? I don’t even eat ranch anywhere else but here it just works. My second favorite item would be the fire and ice salad which is the same buffalo chicken in a salad. Their bread and bakery items are always good as well. Anyone want to meet for lunch?

How have is taken me this long to find this place?! I drive by all the time and finally went in after checking out other Unilocal reviews. Daughter loves picking out a beautifully decorated Nemo cookie. These cookie artists are fantastic! They spend time with so many cute, and yummy, details. They have fountain diet coke(a requirement in my book) and have excellent iced tea. Lately I’ve been sitting here with a croissant breakfast sandwich and get work done on my laptop until lunchtime. They start to get pretty busy by 11:30 and seem to do a booming lunch business. The atmosphere is quiet and friendly and comfortable. They have a darling patio too. Love that it’s locally owned too!

I go to the Daily Bread usually every couple of weeks for lunch. The food is always good. It’s along the lines of Panera Bread Co., but with more of a local feel to it. They have plenty of sandwiches, soups, and salads to choose from. Everything always tastes fresh. The restaurant gets very busy during lunch time but the cashiers move the line fast and the food comes out in good time. For people who are going for the first time, I would recommend viewing their menu online before going to the restaurant because it can be kind of overwhelming when it’s busy and you go to the register without knowing what you want to order.

I’m hooked on the Fire and Ice Salad, but when the Spicy Sweet Chicken Salad came out this summer it had some serious competition! The white chicken chili is another favorite. All the pastries are delicious and fresh! Personally, I think its 10X better than Bread Co.

My mother and I stopped in here for lunch upon recommendations from friends. I tried the Daily Bread Special and she had the Veggie. We both loved our sandwiches! We also split a bowl of Turkey Noodle soup. That was a nice complement to our meal. We bought a Gooey Butter Cake, too, which was absolutely outstanding. Only gripe was marginally friendly staff and a very slim variety of chips. Definitely give the Daily Bread a try!

This has been a family favorite brunch location for years. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food! We have loved everything we’ve tried, which is most types of items on the menu. Also have great baked breads which we often take to go. Good breakfast/brunch/lunch/coffee place!

Eating at The DailyBread was overall a good experience. The food was fresh, there were a ton of menu options, and it was a great value! The staff were friendly and patient. However, It was very crowded and noisy with somewhat dirty tables(likely from it being so crowded). I would definitely go back if I was in the area.

I live near here so I’m not sure why it took me so long to discover it, but I’m sure glad I did! Everything is fresh and delicious, and I feel like you just can’t go wrong with what you order from here. Nothing against Bread Co, but I’d recommend this place about 1,000 times more!

Yummy bagels, soup, sandwich, coffee, and breakfast place. Very friendly staff. It was pretty similar to panera(bread co) just a bit of a smaller local chain. I’d have to go back several times to figure out all the differences. I think there would be some advantages to not receiving like frozen ingredients from corporate or something. Not exactly my kind of food, but it would be good to sit and work or meet up with a friend over coffee. Always nice for coffee places to have real food options though.

The Daily Bread is a great Soup and Sandwich spot. Fresh ingredients are used to make artisan foods and breads. High quality meats make you want to return. Salads are great. Good take out but even better if you dine in. Love all the iced tea choices. If they have a loaf of Olive Bread in the bakery section left, you will be sure I am going to take it home. Must try if you are in the Manchester/270 area.

I honestly haven’t had many chances to come by here, but I was able to stop by once since I was in the area. I really liked the vibe of this place — so welcoming, kind of like a St. Lous Bread Co(Panera), but soo much better! I came here with two friends and despite it being so crowded, we were served very quickly! The workers were really friendly and didn’t mind me taking ages to decide what I wanted to get. I finally managed to pick the chestnut chicken salad sandwich. The sandwich was cool, refreshing and delicious. I’m not the biggest fan of chicken salad, but considering I would definitely come back and order this really tells you how yummy this sandwich was. I can’t remember what my friends ordered(one a soup, the other a sandwich), but they were both very happy. I did manage to steal a little of one friend’s mountain cookie. And, boy oh boy, I wish I had gotten my own. They are absolutely incredible. It has a little bit of everything — oatmeal, raisins, chocolate chips, walnuts, and coconut. I didn’t think so many different ingredients would go together, but it’s perfectly balanced.

I’ve eaten here many times, usually for lunch. The best lunch I’ve had here was the buffalo chicken salad and also they have a great Cobb salad. They have good coffee and a nice little bakery where you can buy individual items. I also like them for donating so generously to my company when I have asked for donations. Local company with a great heart. I like to support them.

After reading some of the detailed reviews of this place, I figured I’d go light. My family and I love this place. We don’t necessarily go here every weekend, but if we’re in the area in the morning, we’ll hit it up. I’m never really too bummed out by the lines, and I have never had trouble finding a table(although they are always busy). My time in line gives me time to take in the large-ish menu, and the tables just open up. The food is good, the pastries are great. Sometimes they have samples spread out on tables, sometimes they don’t. The coffee is hot and full of caffeine. When I’m there, I’m looking for a morning meal, and they surpass Panera, but aren’t so fancy that I have to worry about my wallet. It’s a good fit for a nice breakfast without the commitment of a traditional restaurant.

You will know immediately you are in for a great treat by the fact that patrons come and go constantly – this place is rarely ever«slow». Patrick changes the menu frequently for the season and I am always enticed to try the latest menu item. Never disappointed. Their mountain cookies are fabulous as are all the baked goodies.

A good place to have lunch. I haven’t tried many of the items on their menu because I keep going back to the spinach & artichoke turkey flatbread sandwich. The flatbread, essentially pizza crust, melds beautifully with the spinach and artichoke dip and the turkey. The mountain cookies are also a must have when I am there. They are the perfect mix of sweet and stick to your ribs. I also enjoy the wide variety of tea flavors that you can choose from. Now for the little annoyances. The soda machine and the food pick-up are crammed together in the same corner. It causes a lot of traffic jams for those trying to get their food or drink. I also find it confusing if I get a bag of chips or fruit with my sandwich or not. I kind of wish they would tell me at the register after I have paid or not have the chips/fruit in the same crammed corner as the drinks and food pick-up.

Loved the food. Felt kind of like a slightly more upscale Bread Co. Absolutely, insanely crowded at 11:45AM on a Friday. Tables were scarce; chairs were more scarce. Do not understand not having four chairs at four-tops, especially when they get this crowded every day. Bread was excellent, as was the seasonal garlic beef sandwich — but the toasted bread was so hard it scraped up the top of my mouth. Chicken and wild rice was good, but crazy salty. I love salt. I put salt on salt. And this was salty even for me. Again, I like Bread Co.‘s better. Salted Caramel Mocha was a hit. Loved. I liked it. I’d go back.
