About once a week, my mom makes some sort of beef loaf I can’t participate in. Yes, I live at home right now. Yes, my mom cooks just about every night. If you’re hating; you’re jealous.
Anyway, she usually breaks the news to me around noon, but I smile inside, knowing what my dinnerfood will be. The cheapest turkey sandwich in a 10 mile radius of my house. High fives for close and easy!
I’ll remind you: The SO and I go in once a week. Do the lovely ladies of Subway recognize us? No. Do we risk our lives getting in and out of this place weekly? Why, yes, yes we do.
Last night, the Ladies of Subway were a little friskier than normal. Could it be spring time? The extended sunshine? Or maybe it’s the new girl that somehow LOVES her job. Either way, they roll up my chosen, cheap fixins with a smile and I’m convinced that someday the Ladies of Subway will recognize us. One day, we will be regulars.
