Specialty installed a beautiful green awning to shade a window in the rear of our home. From Start to finish they exceeded my expectations.

I wouldn’t recommend this business after a recent incident in which we called them to reinstall a retractable fabric awning that had blown down. After waiting 1 week for a callback, had to call again. The receptionist never got our first message. When they finally arrived to reattach the awning they had made and installed 5 years before, they didn’t have the right materials to fix it. They blamed the situation on the old mortar of our brick home (but when they took down the awning they pulled out big chunks of mortar themselves!) It took them 2 weeks to order epoxy and finally return to do the job. We asked if they could move the pull-​up cord to the other side of the window for easier access; they said they would, but failed to do it. We were originally quoted «less than $ 150» but were billed $ 240. When we called to complain, we were chewed out by the company president who told us never to call them again. No problem! These people do NOT know the meaning of customer service. Stay away!
