Saint Louis Hop Shop

I love Ryan and Justin the two boys of the Hop Shop. They are beer geniuses with great spirit and true entrepreneurs. Events are awesome, beers are amazing, and the service is top notch. I love that they are here in the neighborhood and I remember a couple years back telling them to connect and get on Cherokee Street. They are legit, have great recommendations and are all around fantastic people. I’m so happy to have them within walking distance of me. Hop Shop, you know I love y’all. And their t shirts and sweatshirts are the most comfortable ever, you should try one on. Full five stars, always.

I was recently here for a «tap takeover» by a local brewery. The shop is mostly a retail store with a small bar. There is a wall of room temp beer that can be purchased in a 6 pack or you can «make your own» 6 pack. There is also a wall of refrigerators with cold beer for sale. There are lots of regional beers for sale, some that I have never seen for sale before in other local beer stores.
There is a small bar with about 6 taps. When I was here, all taps were by the same brewery with price of $ 6/​pint. There are only 4 seats at the bar, with room for about 3 more people to stand at the bar. The room is large enough for more people to stand around the bar, but they will have to hold their beer.
While we were here, there was also food being served by a local restaurant. That was an awesome idea! I sure hope there are more collaborations with local restaurants in the future. I definitely am more inclined to stick around a bar if I can eat, too.

Awesome place! Super friendly and great selection of craft beer. It was an enjoyable experience being able to talk about beer selections with the owner. You don’t get that at larger stores. I wish I lived closer, but they made a regular customer out of me when in the city.

This place is awesome! So many brews to choose from. These guys have made it easy to get all the local beers in one spot! Essentially a one stop shop!

The beer selection is on point and the guys that work here are AWESOME. The tasting bar in my the back has a great selection of local brews and they are ice cold.

This place is the craft beer lover’s fantasyland located on Cherokee Street; the best neighborhood in the city. The guys who own and operate Saint Louis Hope Shop are, not only beer enthusiasts, but knowledgable and passionate about exposing others to the world of craft beer.
The first thing you notice when you walk into the Saint Louis Hop Shop is the magnificent wall of single bottles of craft beer from all over! This isn’t your usual «build-​your-​own 6-​pack» bottle shop. Why? Because their prices are incredible. You get to try different beers from all over without paying the marked up price you’d find at Schnucks.
Farther into the shop you’ll see a refrigerated case with 4 and 6 packs of local craft beers and, a small but mighty bar with 5 – 6 rotating taps. While you peruse the wall of single bottles you can sip one of the current droughts, which are about $ 5 a pour.
So bring your friends to the Saint Louis Hop Shop to have a beer and buy some to take home.
