Tom, our server was as good as he could be, He described the menu with great enthusiasm. The food(small plates) was perfect as we wanted a smaller meal of flavorful items.

I feel that Remy’s places a lot of stock in ambiance and experience, as well as turning out some very good products. It’s a wine bar, so it is also fitting that nothing here is rushed. Our waitress, after learning it was our first time, told us to be prepared for an experience, and she was right. It’s a good place to relax, bring your friends, chat, and share off an extensive list of wines. They can offer guidance if you aren’t really sure what you’d like and there’s a selection for everyone(also wine flights!). After taking in some of the beverages and conversing we had the food brought out. We tried stuffed grape leaves as an appetizer, they were ok. The main course dishes were on a whole different level. I got a swordfish special and my girlfriend went with a filet. Both extremely good. This place is going to be pricey, but you should probably expect that out of a wine bar in Clayton. All in all, a very good night. I would recommend.

Oh Remy’s where to begin? We really, really wanted to like you but… you seemed intent on not liking us. I went to Remy’s with reservations for an Anniversary dinner with my wife. something not to over the top. but a nice enjoyable evening is what we were expecting. What we got was… something significantly less than this… detailed review below… Ambiance 3⁄5 This is where the train started going off the tracks. After being greeted with what seemed like a very inviting space for a dining room we were ushered to their bar area in the corner next tot he windows. We asked to be re-seated however were told by the hostess that they didn’t have any 2 person settings available in their dining area. I promptly walked over to their dinging area and counted 4 open 4 tops and mentioned this and she still refused to re-seat us. I do a great deal of entertaining at restaurants for my profession and sometimes rules are rules… so I took it as a how they ran things here… so be it… disagree with it… but ok. Service 0⁄5: Ok, time to redeem yourself Remy’s I have faith in you… Our server and I only know her name because it was on the check, never introduced her self(big no-no in my book), never went over the menu, didn’t know the menu when we asked about certain dishes. Ok. maybe we got a new server. deep breath… we placed our drink, appetizer and main meal orders. Drinks arrived timely, as did our appetizers, however our server only came to ask how we were doing after our drinks were gone and the appetizers were 2/3’s consumed. Me-thinks we ended up with a less that par server… I am not sure because she disappeared for almost the next 20 minutes. Our main courses arrived, Everything was except the protein on my dish was cold… I don’t mean luke warm, I mean cold… embarrassingly cold. We waited for the next 5 minutes for a server or any wait staff to walk by… no avail. so we choked down our dishes as is. When the server finally came back around I just simply asked for the check. If this is service that is passable here… I don’t even want to waste my time to complain to the manger… my time is more valuable than waiting for an adequate response is at this point. Food 1⁄5: This is hard one for me… everything was seasoned well, but it was just at such a bad temperature everything was… bleh… What I can say is the portions were reasonable to be shared for small plates and the large plates were a good entrée size. Everything except the Arancini that is…3 Arancini for what they charge is pretty much robbery. We didn’t have dessert here because by that point it would have taken a divine act to keep my wife here… Our selections were as follows: Apps: –Polenta Fries — Good, nice and hot, sauce is a bit spicy but very complimentary –Hummus — it was ok. nothing special, loses points because didn’t come with actual pita… it was flour tortillas… if that passes as pita bread someone needs a refresher at culinary school! Entrees: –Lamb Chops — The only thing near close to a passable temp was the actual lab… everything else was cold(the greenbeans, and the sweet potato mash) –Falafel — Sauces and presentation were well done… but again the falafel was ice cold… I have had better falafel from a Lebanese street vendor… Sides: –Arancini — Tasty… luke warm… but 3!!! –Gorgonzola Mashed Potatoes — Well seasoned and can really taste the cheese… but cold… so cold in fact it probably was a health code violation Value 1⁄5: 3 Drinks and the above menu selections was over $ 50/person. Now, had the service been better, food actually served at a good temp, and the place a little more accommodating we might have better things to say from a value point of view… but as is… gonna check this FIRMLY in the low value column. In closing, everyone, EVERYONE has an off night so maybe my experience was unique. However Remy’s, at least on this night, was potentially one of my worst dining experiences in the past year.

I’ve been to Remy’s twice: once with visiting family and once with my friend. She recommended the restaurant to me as the«best steak in town» and having the«best bread pudding»(she’s very picky about her bread puddling). As for their entrees, they cook their steak to perfection. Their menu is diverse and able to accommodate any dietary restrictions. My guest is gluten free and there were plenty of options to choose from. Highly recommended for a date night or fancy night with family!

For a big group this place is great because you can order small plates to share. Gives you a lot of variety. I came with a group of 5 after work one day. The hostess was very friendly and so was our waiter. Ambience −8÷10. lightly dimmed with light on our table so it wasn’t impossible to read the menu Drinks– 8⁄10 generous list of wines and cocktails. The waiter also helpful and helped me pair my meal with a nice Cabernet Food– 8⁄10 Small plates for the table– Mediterranean dip platter– 6⁄10 presentation, 5⁄10 taste three dips with pita bread, nothing spectacular but great for sharing, the pita was a bit cold Flat bread with with kale — 2⁄10 presentation, and 2⁄10 taste this was the least satisfying dish, the kale bread was cold and and the bread was a bit soggy 2⁄10 Calamari — 7⁄10 presentation, 10⁄10 taste this was my favorite small plate. The Mustard sauce was very delicious, not too bitter and creamy touch of lemon. The calamari had a little kick too it and wasn’t too oily, I wanted more! Brussels sprouts– 6⁄10 presentation, 9⁄10 taste very fresh and not greasy. It was also slightly sweet but not overwhelming, great compliment to the other dishes we got. However I wish they cooked the Brussels sprouts a bit more, they too hard for my liking Entrees: Pacific snapper — presentation 8/10, taste 7⁄10 It seemed too chewy. The rice it came with was green and I assumed it to be flavored but it just tasted like white rice. However over all the dish was very fresh and had a lot of flavor to it Lamb shoulder– presentation 5/10, taste 7⁄10 The presentation was not pretty, seemed just like a bowl of pasta that was microwaved. However the taste was good. The lamb was so tender and there wasn’t too much or too little sauce to the dish. However I would have preferred a bit more salt to the dish. Lamb chops– presentation 8/10, taste 7⁄10 I got four small lamb chops with sweet potato mash and green beans. The lamb chops were medium rare and came with a light sauce on top. The sweet mashed potatoes with the chops went very well together. Over all this dish was great because I wasn’t too hungry, so I want disappointed with the lack of portion. It was also very flavorful and the green beans added a touch of freshness to the dish Marscapone cheesecake — presentation 5/10, taste 3⁄10 It was not creamy enough and was actually hard. The flavor did not seem like mascarpone and the sauce was too overwhelming with sweet. I was very disappointed with this dish Over all I give this place 4 stars. It’s great God big crowds because of the small plates they offer. The food was fresh and the atmosphere was lovely

This place automatically gets 5 stars for the bread pudding. Bread pudding is a delicate art, as many restaurants create and overly soggy and overly eggy version. Remy’s is most likely the best place in all of St. Louis to get bread pudding. They make it out of dense and rich brioche bread and it comes smothered in freshly made caramel sauce. Every time that I come to Remy’s the service is quick and friendly. Be prepared to spend a little money as most entrees run $ 30, but they are worth it. I have never left dissapointed.

Charming place with great food! My colleague and I went here on a work trip and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Plus, all of the food suggestions were fantastic! Some of my favorites were the Gorgonzola Whipped Potatoes and the Stuffed Grapevine Leaves. They also had a great wine selection — I recommend trying one of their wine flights. Definitely try this place out!

I went here Saturday during Clayton Restaurant week. I loved it! This place is small and intimate. I loved the pictures and the décor. The waitress was nice and attentive. They had great food choices on the menu and a wide range of wine selections. I ordered the for the appetizer, Fritto Misto. It was lightly fried shrimp, calamari, and scallops. I loved the seasoning and the sauce. My partner ordered the Mediterranean salad and enjoyed that as well. The main entrees we ordered were the Bronzed Mahi and the Tuscan Seafood Stew. The food had amazing flavor, it was cooked just enough, and it was just really good. I was not disappointed at all. I definitely want to come back here and try other items. Plus the Chocolate Napoleon was simply delicious! I could eat the phyllo crisps by themselves. Great place!

What a delightful choice for CRW! Before even realizing that this restaurant is a sister restaurant to Big Sky café(a place I also love and is located in Webster Grove), I made my reservations to try this place out during CRW. I have been reading great reviews about this restaurant so I’ve been wanting to try it but with so many options around, it took me a long time to finally come here. And now, I am regretting not coming in sooner! Service was excellent. The place wasn’t busy but we had reservations and were seated right away in a cozy, little table in a corner facing the street. It was nice and a few minutes after being seated, they dimmed the lights a bit which gave the room a much nicer feel. To start out with, I had the stuffed grapevine. Stuffing consisted of ground lamb and rice in a tomato cumin sauce. They gave me 3 pieces, a generous portion for a starter dish. I loved how flavorful they were. The sauce had depth as far as the flavor goes; far from plain and simple. For my main entrée, I went with the bronzed mahi topped with shrimp over french green lentils. The mahi was probably about 4 oz but it was quite filling. The french green lentils had a mild spicy flavor which complimented the fish well. To my favorite part of the meal: the dessert! I opted for the tiramisu and I was not disappointed. A little piece of paradise amidst the cold, snowy winter. Color me impressed with this first visit! I cannot wait to come back and try some of their other offerings.

2.5 stars. I came here for my birthday back in 2013 and we were all very underwhelmed by the food. The wine flights were fine but the food was very mediocre. I decided to give this place another shot last September for my friend’s farewell dinner. There were about 8 of us at dinner and we all ordered the pink/rose wine flight. I ordered the stuffed grapevine leaves and the grilled beef tenderloin. I really wanted to like this place, but everyone felt very«meh» about their meals. I don’t think I will be coming back.

One of the more nice restaurants I’ve been to. The server we had was really awesome and cracked jokes throughout the night that were actually pretty good. I really liked the lighting inside, probably due to it being Christmas time when we went. Best part about this place? Flights of wine!!! Well, that and the free bread. I’m not a fan of dry wines, so I got the Light Hearted Whites flight which I thought went really well with my food. The dinner menu is pretty small and didn’t have as many options than I would have liked, but it has enough variation to please everyone. I got the Buttonwood Farm’s Spanish Chicken Breast. My chicken was really juicy and tender and went really well with the green beans and sweet potato fries. My only complaint was that I couldn’t taste much of the tomato BBQ sauce that was supposedly on the chicken. My friend and I ordered the same entrée but we soon realized that her chicken was noticeably tougher than mine. We traded bites and it was obvious that my meal was more enjoyable as a result. Another one of my friend’s also ordered the pasta, which was probably the same price as my meal, but the portion was extremely small compared to my plate. She ended up stealing half my fries cause she was still hungry by the end of the night. We’re still amending our friendship after that one. Overall, very positive experience. Would recommend if you want to take someone on a first date or something. Not too fancy but kinda nice.

I was searching for restaurants that were good for a girls’ night dinner and Remy’s came up in the top five. This restaurant has been around for 20 years and I heard their bread pudding is amazing. My friend and I ordered two small plates to share and each got our own large plate. The crab cake came highly recommended by the hostess so we split that and the flatbread. Both were really good. I ordered the mahi mahi which was cooked to perfection. My friend got the salmon which she enjoyed. Overall, it’s a good restaurant and one that I’d definitely recommend for a group dinner or girls’ night.

We had an excellent time tonight at Remy’s! I made reservations through Unilocal with no problems. Very convenient and super easy to use! Maybe it was just us, but Remy’s was a little challenging for us to find. We parked in a garage across the street and finally saw its charming patio lights once we crossed. There is more parking in back, but we missed that since we weren’t quite sure what we were looking for. We ended up a little early but were seated at a table for two by the window as soon as we arrived. The décor inside is kind of eclectic, from maps of wine country to enlarged prints of wine bottle labels. Unilocal says the attire is casual, but it’s definitely more dress-casual, as least for dinner. Our server, Kate/Katherine, was enthusiastic when we told her it was out first time at Remy’s. She walked us through the wine menu and went over the specials and left us to ponder our meal for a few minutes. To start we ordered the stuffed grape leaves. They were really quite good! I was not sure what to expect, but they had a great texture and flavor, and the tomato sauce on top had a pleasant sweetness. I ordered their«light hearted white» flight that came with three delicious wines. The first was a very good prosecco. The final wine was an amazing dry Riesling from Washington the I would definitely get again(I believe it was called the«Birdie.»). My partner ordered a half bottle of one of their on-tap wines and very much enjoyed it. For dinner we ordered two of the special large plates, a seafood fettuccini with lobster and scallops, and lamb chops with couscous, cranberries, and a tomato relish on top. Both of these meals were delicious. The pasta was very rich but the sauce paired excellently with the two final wines in my flight. I had a taste of the lamb chop meal and it was delightful! The lamb was very hearty tasting and the accompaniments paired well with it. Our service was great – Kate came around often enough to feel like we were being taken care of, but not so much that it interrupted our meal. Even though we were seated near other tables, it didn’t feel like we were right on top of each other. I wish we had saved room for dessert, but we enjoyed everything we had and will definitely be going back!

Dakota was an outstanding server! She was a sweetie; attentive, personable and made great recommendations thought the evening. Now that the formalities are out of the way… on to my Remy’s dining experience. Drinks: *Think Pink Flight was tremendously delicious. A blend of rosé, champagne, Pinot notes in 3 half glasses of wine varieties. I was sold on the title alone. *Gris Blanc rosé was superbwe both loved it. *Sidecar, the perfect cognac concoction for my dining partner. Food: *Bruschetta with tapenade great edible time passer before meals arrived. The tapenade was a puréed black olive blend spreadable atop the lightly toasted crostini bread. *Scallops & Spinach with Goat Cheese… you know how I feel about goat cheese. I wanted to order 2 of these it was so delicious. Pan seared scallops were prepared to perfection. *Kabobs very good according to my dining partner. *Crab Cake was plentiful, tasty on top a slaw. *Chicken entrée pretty good according to my dining partner. Served with green beans and sweet potato fries. Dessert: *Crème Brûlée OMG!!! I’ve never had such a perfect caramelization. It was like a Brandy rock candy. *Mascarpone Cheesecake was decent(that’s it) I couldn’t really taste the mascarpone. *Bread Pudding(I saved the best for last) by best I mean the best item of the evening. I’m mr a bread pudding girl but Dakota promised I’d love it. I did. I know it sounds like everything was«perfect» and in actuality, it was. Lastly, SeatMe made reservations effortless with 3 quick taps from my iPhone. I even received a text reminder which allowed me to reply 1 confirming my details and attendance. I’m a fan. Remy’s; super nice wine bar restaurant. Located in the heart of Clayton yet off the beaten path of congestion. Remy’s I love you. ~Christy

What can I say? The clientele can get obnoxiously pretentious and bougey, but that makes for interesting eavesdropping. The wine flights are good, and the cheese plate(4 cheese for $ 15 when we got it) was delicious. Our server Naomi was friendly and tolerated our horrible jokes.

Amazing! The ambience, the food, the service… I hadn’t been in several years, and I’m so happy I found this place again. Perfect for hanging out with a friend, family or a date. Excellent Mediterranean food, wine, and desserts! The cheese plates are to die for! And fun to share… also don’t forget about ordering a wine flight! Delicious! 2nd time around — I had the stuffed grape leaves and hummus and my friend had the seafood special of the day — shrimp burger– tasty! Flavorful food and attentive service– pair those with the little patio and the weather — perfection!

This review is for happy hour only. I love Remy’s happy hour! The food is delicious and there’s a variety of options on the menu all for around $ 5 with the exception of a couple of items. A fave is the turkey burger was is maybe $ 7. I’m a fan of the red curry chicken salad and the hummus. You can ask for more bread for the hummus because what they give you isn’t enough. Wines are half off most glasses and the pour is better than many places, although it doesn’t yet strongly compete with Oceano’s happy hour pour. We enjoyed sitting at the bar because the bartender is very knowledgeable and service is always great. I recommend this spot for a solid happy hour!

Remy’s is the perfect place to visit if you want to visit with a friend over some wine… or if you’re meeting a group of friends for a fun, fancy dinner out… or for happy hour… or if you want to try an array of different dishes to share… basically you can always find an excuse to visit Remy’s! On my most recent visit to Remy’s, I met a group of friends(7 of us total) for dinner on a Saturday night. We didn’t call ahead to get a reservation… so there was an hour wait, but that’s understandable for any restaurant in Clayton on a Saturday night. While we waited for our table, we hung out at the bar and enjoyed a few glasses of wine. The bartender was also super friendly and nice… and chimed in every now and then on our conversations. And the hostess checked in on us several times throughout our wait, just to update us on the status of our table… amazing service! When we were seated at our table, the waiter(also super friendly and helpful!) recommended that we order a bunch of small plates… so we could try a little bit of everything and share with the group. That’s exactly what we did! It was an awesome idea. I had the veal meatballs and beef tenderloin kebabs… both DELICIOUS! Other highlights were the Crab Cakes, Spinach & Roasted Chicken Cannelloni, Fritto Misto, Grilled Chilled Shrimp Salad… everyone was pleased with their orders. No complaints! Our table also ordered desserts to end the evening. I split the Tiramisu with a friend… it was a generous serving and also… of course… very yummy! The wine selection at Remy’s is also very impressive! They have several Grenache’s and Tempranillo’s available! I really enjoy those wines… and they aren’t offered at many places! Overall, love Remy’s and can’t wait to visit again! :)

Rainy Day Lunch Wine: La Petite Perriere Sauvignon Blanc Hers: Pan Seared Scallops & Spinach tomato balsamic vinaigrette & crumbled goat cheese. Mine: Grilled Trout on saffron couscous topped w/arugula fennel salad & balsamic reduction. Dining Room: has a cozy, intimate feel. Server: Rudy was very good at pointing out gluten-free choices, and offering raw vegetables instead of bread for the tapenade. Parking: within a cork’s throw of the door!
