This is long overdue but I have been back multiple times to this restaurant since my experience with them the first time. The have made it right for me, they went above and beyond to make things right. Honestly, this is one of the BEST restaurants in STL. The vibe is great, the restaurant itself is very nice and very clean. Service is very friendly and the owner is absolutely GREAT!!! The food has tons of flavor, always fresh, prepared in a timely manner and always, I MEANALWAYS delicious. You can go to this spot for almost any occasion. The entrees are very affordable and there is a huge variety of items to pick from.

We arrived for a late Tuesday dinner and the place was deserted! Our order included the eggplant anatolia, Caesar salad, capellini, and the lobster ravioli. Our waiter was a bit gruff, no-nonsense, he seemed more like a manager than a waiter. The appetizers came out quickly and while we were still eating them, the waiter appeared with our entrees — a bit of an Olive Garden way to serve food, not what I like from a nicer restaurant, though. The eggplant appetizer was very flavorful and its sauce was so good we asked for more bread for which to sop it up. The salad was basic. The capellini was very much like a puttanesca, lots of great flavors! The lobster ravioli was terrific! We passed on dessert, we were so full. We’ll be back!

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Could not believe the atmosphere, service and quality of food especially for the price. My boyfriend and I had the homemade gnocchi and the lamb, both dishes were excellent. I would also recommend the shepard’s salad and phyllo cigars. Delicious! Cannot wait to go back.

Nice ambiance and great quality food. The menu is a little limited. I expected more middle eastern options but overall a great experience. The cigar boregi was a really good. Flat breads are delicious too.

Admittedly I don’t write reviews typically. However this place a gem! I’ve been here twice now and both experiences were excellent. My girlfriend and baby boy went there tonight for Mother’s Day and once again the staff was as friendly as can be! The ambience is amazing(both inside and out on the patio). For anyone looking to have a romantic dinner or quiet outing with a few friends I highly suggest the patio on the side. Last but not lease the food is excellent as well, and for as classy a joint as this is, very moderately priced. For what it’s worth my girlfriend and I both are calling Pan D’Olive our favorite restaurant in STL!

Don’t know why we haven’t been here before. Very good meal! My wife had the mussels as her entry and loved them. She even asked for a spoon to finish the broth. The salad she had(house) was lovely and the philo cigars as appetizer were very good and unusual. I had the Caesar salad and rigatoni amatriciana. Both were perfect to my taste. We will be back.

Went here the other night with my buddies from Guys Night Out. Everyone agreed the service, food, and ambiance were excellent. Happy Hour, and I’ve been here several times for that, does get a bit loud as the evening moves along. Our supper group dined at 6:00 on a Wednesday and noise was not a problem. Another Excellent Happy Hour here this past Friday. Great prices on delicious food and drinks. What more could you ask for?

Had a delicious meal, a bit classier joint here… The appetizer was rich and savory mussels with succulent tomatoes, sweet savoury garlic, all in clam jus. Also Phyllo cigars stuffed with herbed feta. The entrée was Juicy tender Lamb Shank with garlic and seasoned Rice Pilof and a Grilled Lemon Pork Chop with bone in and a savory Lemon seasoning and rich buttery garlic mashed potatoes with brown gravy, the mashed potatoes are rich delicious. Side items were Olive Bread and regular bread with olive oil and butter, Topped off by the richest apple pie a la mode that I ever had. The homemade apple pie with ice cream was delish. They have their own parking lot and outdoor dinning patio also. They have great tasting water too. The service here was excellent, I have got to start remembering the names of my servers, I had a great time here and will be back again!

What a gem and how is it that I’ve not had the pleasure of this establishment in the past? Do yourself and favor and give it a try! We hosted our Fine Dining Meetup here on 11.21.15. And while the price point was below what I would normally consider«fine dining» the food and service fit the classification. Our group of eight were all first-timers to Pan D’Olive. We had a reservation which was difficult to make — you leave a voicemail and are told someone will get back to you, but I had to make several more calls to finally speak with someone to confirm our date/time. But we were seated promptly! We were at a long table to the side of the bar area. I would normally say this is a great location for a group, but on this night there was a wedding just down a flight of stairs and the music from the wedding made it very difficult for our group to converse. We asked if there was anything that could be done, but were told unfortunately, no. We survived; it wasn’t the end of the world. Around the table we all had drinks. Some mixed, some wine, some beer. The Belgium Ranger IPA($ 6) and the French Martini were the favorites. For starters, we had calamari(roasted tomato marinara & caper aioli $ 7), spinach salad(candied walnuts, cranberries, gorgonzola, pomegranate vinaigrette $ 6), and mussels(garlic, tomato, clam jus $ 8). Both reasonably priced and flavorful. The calamari was a bit tough, but not terribly so. Our entrees were Pan D’olive flatbread(x2)(chicken, mushroom, olive, gorgonzola, caramlized onions $ 12), Shrimp Scampi(Eagean style with lemon, butter, garlic $ 22), Lamb Shank(asparagus, lamb jus, rice pilaf $ 25), Branzini(charbroiled, lemon $ 25), Lobster Ravioli(rock shrimp, spinach, tomato, sherry cream $ 17) and the Filet($ 24). The filet, Lamb Shank and Branzini are all gluten free, and the Lamb and Branzini are available only in limited quantities. So, our group assessment? The Pan D’Olive Flatbread, Shrimp Scampi and Branzini… all heavenly! The other dishes were good as well, but these seemed to be the stars of the show. The prices and service were great! I couldn’t believe the size and quality of my scampi for $ 22. The flatbreads are large enough to share. The lamb shank got an «ok» rating. Certainly not terrible, just not the best lamb he’d ever had. Our service was excellent! Seated quickly, coat check, drinks always filled, gracious server, food served hot. Slight language barrier, but nothing we all couldn’t work with. A couple of hints: The Branzini is served whole. I mean head on, folks! They will remove it for you in the kitchen if you ask. So, be prepared. Also, parking is a bear! Guys, if you’re on a first date, you may want to offer to drop your date at the door to save her walking in those high heels she’s wearing to look great for you. And although we had a party of eight, they split the checks info four for us and didn’t add required gratuity. So tip your server well! And lastly, if you’re going with a large group, try to ensure you get in the main dining area if there is a function downstairs. I’d say give it a try! We will definitely go back!

Pan D’olive was recommended to me by a few of the local guys I work with in St. Louis. The first time I came through, I just missed happy hour, which happens to be VERY popular here. The bar was crowded, but I was able to snag a seat! I was glad I did, because Tony, the bartender, was truly entertaining! He was a super cool cat and remembered me the next time I came through! Anyway, I was starving on my first visit, so I ordered snails for the appetizer and a whole branzini. Both dishes were excellently prepared. The snails were sitting in a creamy sauce that was delectable! And the branzini came as a whole fish, I have to be honest, I was expecting a filet. But I have no qualms about eating the whole fish, and I basically ate it down to the bone! Since I was at an establishment, I didn’t get down and dirty with the fish head, if I was in the comfort of my own home, it’s a different story… The second time I came around, I ordered the lamb shank. It was falling off the bone, and simply divine! I highly recommend ordering the lamb shank, I wish I had done this the first time! So, if I were in the St. Louis area, I would come for the food, stay for the company!

I definitely just found my go-to happy hour spot!!! My sister and I were undecided about where to grab drinks. After thinking for awhile, we realized that we ALWAYS drive by Pan D’olive and see their happy hour sign. I’ve been telling myself for a long time I should check it out… and today I finally pulled the trigger! The have an INCREDIBLE happy hour. They have $ 2.50 domestic beers, $ 3 and $ 5 glasses of wine, and $ 5 martinis. I had the Chardonnay and the Cabernet for $ 6(total!). The Chardonnay was pretty good(definitely worth the $ 3), but I enjoyed the Cabernet more. In addition to ridiculously cheap drinks, they have several appetizers to choose from. We started with the phyllo cigars stuffed with herbed feta, the grilled lamb kofte, and the arancini. All three were incredible!!! My sister fell in love with the phyllo cigars(imagine a flaky and melt-in-your-mouth mozzarella stick… but way better!). I really enjoyed the arancini(which I believe were similar to fried rice and meatballs – yummy!). After one round of appetizers, we again went with another round of the arancini and the phyllo cigars. We also got an order of calamari. I really enjoyed the dipping sauce for the calamari(and thought the portion was good, too). I would have loved to try the dessert tasting at the end, but my tummy ran out of room! In terms of the service, I thought it was incredible! Our server was super friendly and I probably never waited more than two minutes for her when I wanted to order another item. In terms of price, we ordered 3 glasses of wine($ 3 each), two orders of arancini, two orders of phyllo cigars, one order of calamari, and one order of lamb kofte for a grand total of $ 35 with tax. Such a great deal! My sister and I are already dying to go back! I’d say the only downside is that although their patio space is nice, it faces Mccausland, which can make for a lot of noise. Other than that, this place is practically perfect!

Dinner before theatre. We were seated in a beautiful, private booth. My husband started with a Caesar salad which he enjoyed. I had the Shepherds Salad… lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, olive, feta in a vinegar and oil dressing! Husband enjoyed lobster ravioli. .I had the trout, which was served with spinach. Dessert… shared the apple pie. Very good service and experience. Reasonably priced.

Happy hour 4 – 7 @ a very nice bar Tapas style sharable plates from $ 3 – 5 dollars Domestic beer $ 2.50 bottles Daily draft special $ 4 Wines from $ 3 We ordered the most of the menu of appetizer/tapas –Arancini & Phyllo Cigars were our favorites –We really liked the Neapolitan flatbread pizza & the lamb dish. –She liked the olive plate, but I don’t like olives. –The first few bites of calamari were OK, but we ordered all the food at once & the calamari got cool… How could I make such a rookie mistake? They also had a dessert trio offered. Baklava, tiramisu & another cake was on one plate. We loved both cakes. The baklava was old & hard, but descent flavor. Definitely a happy hour date place…

The family and I enjoyed our dinner at Pan d’Olive very much. I called a few hours early to make reservations, however it was probably not necessary since the place was ¾ empty when we got out there at 7:30. The ambiance was great though, and the servers attentive and willing to accomodate our food modification requests. We are not picky eaters by any means but it is always nice when restaurants go out of their way to ensure that even the slightest customer’s desires are fulfilled! They serve a basket of sliced bread and olive oil and cheese as a starter. We ordered 2 appetizers: hummus and calamari. Entrees were flatbread napoleotana, veal marsala and lobster ravioli. As dessert we had the baklava, new to us but we enjoyed it very much. Everything was super delectable, however my favorite thing was the hummus and pita bread. I don’t know what magic ingredients they put in that hummus but it was astonishing! Um um um. The happy hour at Pan d’Olive sounds pretty amazing, so I will be checking that out soon!

I went here for happy hour and I have looking to find great happy hour locations close to where I live. My friends insisted on going and couldn’t believe I hadn’t been there yet. I will be going back frequently! The happy hour food was inexpensive yet so flavorful and filling. I was beyond satisfied and can’t wait to go back! I will be ordering the calamari, the flatbread pizza and the olives again. They don’t let you order happy hour food for take out, but I did order an extra pizza and then took left overs home for later, and it was just as delicious later as it was when it first came out. As a group we ordered one of everything on the happy hour menu then when there was something we wanted more of, we ordered another one. The wine is 3 dollars a glass and the beer is 2.50. You can’t beat the prices, especially for around here. I could not believe how amazing the food and wine choices were. I usually think that inexpensive food won’t be very good, which deters me from happy hours, but I can’t wait to go back and I can’t wait to try dinner there as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Has anyone made the joke about panning Pan D’Olive yet? Because, wow, this place is super terrible. Our server was mostly absent and left us waiting for our check for over ten minutes after we’d given up on trying to eat the food. My partner’s Pepsi glass came with bright pink lipstick on it, and when we pointed it out to a server the guy laughed and asked if he had tasted it, LITERALLYIFMYPARTNERHADFELTTHELIPSTICKONHISMOUTH. He also apologized, but we were still charged for the Pepsi my partner didn’t drink. But not for the bonus lipstick, so, yay? I ordered a vegetarian pasta dish that left a gross greasy film in my mouth but was otherwise tasteless. My partner got the pork chop and garlic mashed potatoes, both of which tasted more like burnt and neither of which tasted like garlic. The mashed potatoes were watery and the meat was a poor quality chop with a weird texture. We did love the salads and the olive bread.

The overall experience was mediocre. The waiter seemed very apathetic and was almost rude. He interrupted me in the middle of my order and tried to push my boyfriend to order salad. We didn’t order drinks and in response he said nothing and walked away. The bread came with olive oil, and was pretty normal. But ten minutes later some other waitress appears with butter when were on our last piece of bread and sets it down without saying a word. Confusing… We ordered chicken & rice soup(which could have been less oily) and calamari(which could have been more crispy) for apps. The entrees were just okay as well. Shrimp scampi pasta had a funky aftertaste and the shrimp was slightly over cooked and burnt. The veal was also too oily. Overall the food was underwhelming. Seems like the place could’ve been more popular a few years ago but never kept up with the times. The food was meh and the waiter made us feel uncomfortable, so overall not an experience I would return to.

Stopped in here earlier this week for a bite to eat with my lil sis and her bf. Nicely decorated, wonderful service, and decent food. I arrived a little late so my sis and the bf had already devoured most of the calamari. They seemed to enjoy it. I managed to sneak one bite and I thought it was fine — not outstanding but not bad either. Wines were well priced and I sipped a lovely glass of pinot noir with my meal. My sister and I both started with caesar salads. Salad was standard but good. My sister tried to order the lobster ravioli but they were out. Her second choice was the seafood linguine and she was pleased. I didn’t get to taste but I from the looks of the sauce splashing around I think it could have been reduced a little more. Her bf ordered the chicken tortelloni and he devoured it — meaning I didn’t get a bite. Again I thought the sauce could have been a bit thicker but that’s just what I gathered from the appearance. I went with the veal scallopine picatta. I absolutely loved the roasted veg on the side and thought the sauce had a pleasant lemony caperyness to it(yes, I made that word up). The veal I thought was okay but if I were to order the dish again I might go with chicken. We all shared the tiramisu for dessert and it was another standard but tasty dish. We were there 5:30/6ish and were the only ones in the back dining room at first but as we were finishing up the room was getting more crowded. This place looks like it caters to an older crowd as we were the youngest table in the restaurant. All in all — decent food but I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to return. If you’re in the area though it is definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant gets its name from the fresh olive bread they serve — which is wonderful! The menu is rooted in old world Mediterranean fare, but has a slight modern flair, too. The weather was wonderful, so even though the outside eating area overlooks the parking area, we opted to sit outside. The grape vines on the trellises were beautiful and healthy and just about to burst into fruit! Our entrees included the walnut encrusted trout, seafood linguine — clams, shrimp, white fish, mussels, over bed of linguine, and a lamb kofte special. The trout was a healthy serving and perfectly prepared. Clams, mussels and shrimp over a bed of linguine was another healthy portion and half ended up in a to-go box! Again, delicious, attractively presented and perfectly prepared. Lamb is a personal favorite, but if I had it to do over again, I would’ve opted for something else. It tasted ok(meat was a bit dry) but less than appealing appearance-wise: looked like two crisscrossed sausages. It came with a very thin(runny) yogurt cucumber sauce — not the standard tzatziki one would expect. Entrees will run you about $ 22, pastas around $ 16 – 18, so it’s not overly pricey, but the addition of a couple adult beverages or bottle of wine can change that in a heartbeat. All in all, it’s a nice place with good food and attentive service. We all voted we would be back.

Had a great experience here for our anniversary dinner :). Love the ambiance, and our waiter and busser were so polite and attentive. I had the lobster ravioli which was piping hot and decadent, and my boyfriend had the lamb shanks with spaghetti — the lamb was very flavorful. We each had Caesar salads to start, and for dessert we split the chocolate lava cake a la mode! The best dinner I’ve had in a long time. Upscale comfort food. I will be back to check out the bar side very soon!
