Dirty, grungy, possibly even scary. The worst service imaginable. You have to pay a cover and pay for your hookah beforehand, they take forever to bring it to you, and provide little to no assistance if you need it. The music was the loudest, shittiest hiphop imaginable dubbed with the repeated sound of a passing race car courtesy of the worst DJ I’ve ever encountered. Avoid this place at all costs.

We walked in to the bar and the guy working at the desk told our party of 6 we had to order 3 hookahs. I wasn’t going to do it which brought our number down to 5 making us only pay for 2. My friend asked if I wanted to try it and so I took one puff and then I was done. 3 minutes go by before the guy at the desk turns off his music and yells at us from across the room that I owe him $ 5 or I have to leave. It was first off very embarrassing and humiliating for him to address me like that and two awful business to make me pay him for something I was trying ONETIME. The service was very poor, the hookah wasn’t even that good, and the place was dirty. I would never recommend going here.

So unsatisfied with our visit to Puzzles. $ 5 door charge per person… it’s so crammed in there it’s uncomfortable. It’s also so dark so you can’t see anything. I was extremely confused with the atmosphere, however there was a DJ which was a cool touch. We ordered our 3 hookahs, each one being $ 15-$ 20. It then took another 20 minutes to get them. We started smoking and realized how worn out they were. Ours had a leak and had to get all new tubes because they were cracked. We ordered a Vegas Bomb, and it tasted like Vicks vapor rub. We ended up leaving after 15 minutes because of the lack of service and the horrible quality. Let me add lastly, this place is DIRTY and run down. Never again. Do NOT waste your money

Try to get over on people cash wise, try to rush people out so they can hurry & get customers in that’s been wanting a long time but if certain girls look good enough they let them in or if they cool with the guys they let them in also in the entrance it’s a table and customers sitting there looking at you while they are smoking & you are waiting in line to get in I did try to give this place another but no furniture it’s so disgusting & ratchet

It was way trunt, they charged $ 5 at the door and one hookah was about $ 16 – 20(depends on what exactly you want). I mean if your looking for a little ratchetness but not ghetto it’s a good spot. It’s good place to turn up sober also. It’s right by wash u so a lot of college kids are there. And you to be 18 to get it. The music was up to date hip hop and it was predominantly black scene. And I’m from Chicago and it’s a little more trunt then hookah lounges at home.

Went there with 7 other people. They made us buy three hookahs which is kind of to be expected with a hookah bar but kept adding misc. Taxes. They kept saying there were charges for misc. Other things as well. We got our hookahs and one of them had dirty water in it the other two looked fine but didn’t tasted horrible. After dropping nearly a hundred dollars. about a half an hour in to actually smoking they told us they had to take our table away and left eight of us crowded around a 2 foot square table. Our server was being rude and seemed to favor people of his similar color. He blatently ignore others. Keep in mind not all there servers are bad went there once before when they had no business and the server(different server) was actually really cool and helped though the floors were really sticky and the seats were uncomfortable.

I came to puzzles for my birthday yesterday. I was fairly excited and in a good mood, but the workers were so rude. This was my 1st time going to a hookah bar and I didn’t know where to order. They also didn’t seem to think my order was important. They come to you to get your order, but we wait a good hour before we got our order. They took 3 other people’s orders before mine. When we finally got our hookah, it was broken and they refused to fix it when I politely asked. Even though it was 16 dollars per a hookah, and they made me order 2 because«there was a line». They tried to get away with making me pay 32 dollars for hookahs that did NOT even work. Also one of my friends tried to get the DJ to give me a shoutout for my birthday, but they refused. Will NOT return. TERRIBLE service!!! It was way too pricy for them to be this rude! It was also 5 dollars just to get in.

Did not like this place. only time we saw anyone was when we walked in, and paid, otherwise they were sitting behind the counter, talking, and smoking a hookah themselves. didn’t see anyone else walk in till nearly 8, and we had been there for quite some time already. almost no décor, and it looked like the chairs, and tables had wear, and tear. door was resting open on the frame the whole time. only sold candy, and soda food wise. plays rap music, if that’s your thing.

It was an interesting experience. Coming from out of town, you never know if a place is sketchy or not. We peeked in and the crowd seemed ok. It was a week day so not that many people were in there. The seating was interesting. Two long rows of dozens of chairs. They bad a huge selection of shisa. The two guys there helping us were friendly.

They use Quicklights. Took 30 minutes to get our hookahs from time of sitting to receiving. They served us Rotator hookahs with melted grommets and tiny bowls. Smelled like burning tires inside the location from the coals they use. Tight seating, very uncomfortable and uncaring staff. We requested other coals as well as provided them with coals. We handed then Exotica Bamboo charcoal to light and they brought us uncooked coals and placed them on our hookah. They have no idea how to even light up real charcoal. Funny thing was that everyone around us wanted the same coals we were using and management said no. They were literally poisoning all their customers providing quicklights in a small location it was with no ventilation. I hope all the hookah bars in Missouri aren’t this level. I felt like throwing up as soon as I walked in to the location from the smell here… Now I know why they want you to pay first. They are pretty confident their hookahs suck and they have fast turn over as well as they dont want people trying the hookah, getting sick and walking out. All the owner was doing was checking ids at the door and texting the whole time we were there. Very unprofessional and bad in every way. Sorry, I did not find anything positive regarding this location and I do not usually review hookah bars but this one I HAD to do. Note: The prices on their menus are false. The prices they billed us were 4 – 6 dollars more per hookah. We didnt even bother saying anything even though we ordered 4 hookahs. Just wanted to note to watch out what they charge you. Also note that they do not charge sales tax and requested cash

I usually have Good experiences here. Usually I go with my best friend on either Friday or Saturday nights. The music is Good and definitely sets you up for having a Good time. I do wish it wasn’t a 18+ place as they seem immature but then again hey that’s how they make revenue. The cost(to me anyway) is a bit up there but once again it’s a growing business. All in all a fun place

This place has the worst bathroom I have been to in St. Louis. The sink if halfway falling off the wall, the urinal doesn’t flush, the toilet is warped(which I never even knew that porcelain could become warped), the seat is falling off and they don’t even have toilet paper. The cast sang and danced merrily outside basically saying hello to all their friends and ignoring their two tables of customers. Apparently they don’t sell alcohol. I have to say that I’ve never hoped a business would fail, until now.

Went on a Saturday night. Young crowd. Very crowded. Line out the door, that didn’t seem to close, continuously letting the cold air in. Loud music, good DJ. Cover charge was bogus, especially to be seated right next to the door with a wobbly table, had to worry about the hookahs falling over, with a wobbly chair, in about 1 square foot of personal space. Hookah should be relaxing with a flowing conversation. The incredible loud music, crowded and dark atmosphere made that difficult. The people who worked there seemed nice, on the surface. 18+ club vibe with minimal décor.
