On the recommendation of a friend I ordered delivery from here two weeks ago with her… we both thought it was not very good. She said it must have been a fluke based on her very good previous experience. I thought I would give it a try again today and wish I hadn’t. The crust is so thin it can’t support sauce, cheese, olives and mushrooms. The crust on the edges is burnt black and mid way to the center to the center it is under done. Expensive and disappointing pizza experience — should have just called one of the national delivery chains.

What a great little find! The ingredients are superb. The owner is a interesting and cheerful chap who makes sure that his patrons are happy! Doesn’t matter if you pick up or eat in– all the same to him. If a handcrafted, crave inducing pizza(or Sunday lasagne!) sounds appealing, than, by all means, come to Pizzino.

This place has great food and wonderful service. The owner is so friendly, and the girl working there explained everything to me with a big smile.

A friend and I stopped at this place on our way to the airport. Its a small place but GREAT!!! Authentic focaccia pizza. My friend loved her Cantina. I had the Alantico panini. Too good! Everything is made to order. They also have pizzas by the slice ready if you are in a rush. They also have beer and wine if you need that to wash it down. The sauces made from scratch and trust me can taste it. So even though I’m not from here when I come back I will make my final stop here again.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday. We split a Caesar salad and the Augustus thin crust pizza. Our daughter had a slice of cheese pizza(on focaccia). We loved the Caesar — it came out on a big baking sheet and was perfect for splitting. Good favors — fresh taste. The Augustus had a great taste as well(toppings). I didn’t love the crust, but I am not a huge fan of thin crust pizza, in general. It tastes like flatbread. Our daughter’s reheated focaccia pizza slice was disappointing. It was not that cheesy and the crust was too hard near the edges. We also tried a piece of regular focaccia and that was terrific. The owner kindly gave us a small wedge of the tomato focaccia to try too. We preferred the regular(just olive oil and sea salt) because it tasted fresher. We liked the atmosphere here for lunch — nice music playing, enough room to sit. But it was a little warm because of the pizza oven in the same room. We want to go back to try both a panini as well as their focaccia pizza freshly made!

Pizzino is amazing! Food was great and fresh. We have brought our 2 little ones many times, and they always eat it all up. Plan on going back today. Definitely worth stopping in!

Ok, I don’t post reviews that often, but when something is amazing I have to write about it. Visiting STL to look at Wash U, and happened upon this little gem. We were greeted by a bubbly and friendly Liz who suggested a couple of items. So friendly… anyway, we ended up ordering the eggplant tapenade, Caesar, and two thin crust pizzas. The tapenade came out with very crispy croutons and topped with salty feta. Delicious! Could have licked the jar. The Caesar was coated with dressing perfectly and had a perfect semi hard boiled egg on top. It was a generous portion, I couldn’t finish it. Next came the pizza. Personal size, flat and crispy. I ordered the piero, and the roasted zucchini on top was ever so thin. Combined with the roasted tomatoes and garlic, a great recommendation Liz, thanks. My son ordered the agustus, topped with spicy sausage but still crispy and thin. A couple of Italian sodas and we were set. The owner Jim was so friendly… he brought us over a couple of thin vanilla cookies that had an Italian name I can’t remember meaning«cat’s tongue.» The finish to a great meal. Also shout out to Gary(hope I got that right) helping cook… Also want to mention the place was spotless. Someone was always cleaning. Don’t miss this little joint. So good.

I will definitely be a returning customer! Enjoyed my pizza slice which was more of a personal pizza with how large it was. Appreciated the speed, cleanliness, and awesome owner who greeted us as we were walking up to his establishment! The pizza I had was on focaccia and I could eat it all day! Also finished with a 2 pack of cookies to go, which were also on point.

If I could rate their cookies alone, I’d give them eight stars. I know that’s not possible, but I would try. You can tell this place puts a lot of soul into its food. Good artisanal pizza on a variety of crusts, tasty soups and salads(okay, let’s be honest, I haven’t tried the salads, but they look good), libations, and perfectly perfect cookies. It’s like my Italian grandmother is cooking for me again, but instead she’s been re-incarnated as a middle aged man. Either way, grandma, I’ll be coming in for cookies, pizza, and wine. Soon.

I ordered last night for delivery. Delivery takes about an hour but I don’t mind. It was still warm when it got to me and it was so delicious! I got a Fiore Panini and Starbucks frap drink. The panini looks small but it is very filling. I was completely satisfied. The homemade focaccia is amazing. Everything in the sandwich was perfection! I’m ordering again tonight!

Pizzino is a bit tucked away on Wydown boulevard in St. Louis near the Starbucks on Hanley. It has a great patio where you can sit and have a beer while enjoying the evening breeze. Jim the owner is an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable fellow who can talk with you for hours about food. He has been working for years on refining his dishes and it shows. The thick focaccia style pizza tastes like one that you can find in Genova or in the south of Italy. Try the Royal. The thin one baked right there in the oven is its own invention. I like the Margherita with fresh mozzarella tomato and basil. Try also the chocolate treats that his wife Vicky prepares. If you have kids try the soups. My son has the Fiore sandwich each time. Overall a great quick dining experience in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Thumbs up!

Pizzino is the best Italian-style pizza you can find in St. Louis! I loved both the focaccia and grilled pizzas. The Caesar salad and tomato bisque are also amazing! The Fiore and Vavale sandwiches are spot on. All the ingredients are extremely fresh and many are imported from Italy. I highly recommend Pizzino!

I have eaten at Pizzino numerous times now. My favorite thing is the«Orlando»(San Marzano Tomatoes, Garlic, Fontina and Pecorino Blend, Hot Calabrese Salami, Basil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil) grilled pizza. The crust is thin and a bit crispy. All I can say is you can taste how fresh and flavorful everything is. This is a place that really cares what kind of product they are putting out and it is perfectly evident in the food. It’s a great place for a quick lunch or dinner.

I had a very pleasant lunch here today. Of course the food was delicious. I had one of the pizzas with pesto, sausage, and goat cheese(I forgot the name of it.) But what stood out was the great customer service. The owner himself was taking orders and delivered our meal. He was friendly, but it wasn’t forced. I could tell he really cares about the customers experience and the quality of the food. What a great experience!

After a couple visits to Pizzino I’m ready to show some love. The food, prices, and service are all on –point. The space is comfortable and casual, and there’s a nice patio out front. There’s two types of pizza, the grilled thin-crust(personal-sized) and the more hearty Roma style with bread baked in-house.(Roma is only available Wed-Sun) Both are very good. There’s also a few salads, panini’s, and soups. I can highly recommend the Albertina($ 9) with pesto, artichoke, goat-cheese, and more. The toppings were stacked high and the flavors were intense and delicious. It also tasted great the next day. The Augustus($ 8.50) with Italian sausage and more was also quite nice. The Fiore panini($ 8.50) w/cajun turkey, bacon, swiss, and more was highly enjoyed by both my dad and myself, the bread was solid and crispy and the cheese was oozing out. Also, the tomato basil soup was especially flavorful. On my second visit the very kind & friendly owner offered me a sample of the special grilled pizza of the month — The Kofta, a Mediterranan-inspired recipe with seasoned beef, chickpeas and more. WOW this was delicious with a spicy kick. This will definitely be the next thing I order. Hurry because it’s only available for a few weeks. They had 3 beers on tap — all local. One of them was Perennial’s Hommel, a flavorful Belgian Pale Ale that went great with the pizza. This is the kind of beer that can win over people who don’t care for beer much. If that’s not enough, there were also free samples of delicious chocolate-chip cookies. Service was very welcoming and everyone I’ve brought here has loved it.

Pretty tasty — it’s no Ians in Madison, or Artichoke in NYC. But it’s the best I’ve had in the St. Louis area. The ingredients are fresh and taste authentic. The crust has a nice crisp to it but is still relatively light. Very interesting and tasty combos. I’ve been twice, had the margherita(sp?) and the tuscan steak one. I plan to be back again(tomorrow, actually!).

I love this place! The pizza is authentic, the salad was great with homemade dressing, and the soup incredible, and the ice cream rocked! I would go back in a heartbeat. Best kept secret in Clayton. Also nice patio for spring days and good beer! I can’t wait to go back.

A totally different pizza experience! I say that as a good thing, the pizza has more of an authentic feel to that and it makes the pizza taste so much better than anything else I have had in St. Louis. Right off Wydown ave it is an easy location to get to and the staff there are very helpful. I would recommend the Royal pizza with one of the beers they have on tap. The sandwiches are also amazing if you are not in the mood for pizza. All summed up perfect place to run in for a bite to eat, or sit down with your family and enjoy the atmosphere. The owner, Jim, is certain to keep you entertained and well fed. I will be back
