Support your neighborhood store! Friendly employees. I am often in and out in a minute or less, when I know what I’m going in for. Decent selection of Dogtown Pizza and Cookie Dough. The wine selection is limited, although they do have wine, but it’s a small space.

Typical neighborhood liquor store, but beware. Check your packaged goods. Bought a 6-​pack of one beer and someone had switched out the bottles for another brand.

I think all city blocks should have their corner store, hawking all of your party basics: cigarettes, liquor and beef jerky. In that sense, Pat’s has it all.
Actually, it’s a great place for Dogtown residents to stop by when they jog back to their homes from Forest Park for an energy drink, or other form of thirst-​quencher.
You can even buy wine here, which is cheap, but at least it’s in a bottle. That kind of option is a life-​saver for when you have slightly-​snooty visitors heading your way and you can’t stand to ask them «how about another box of wine?» Wait… I think they DO sell boxed wine. But there are bottle available.
