Music Record Shop never fails to disappoint whenever I visit! I have never found a record shop with such amazing selection of records to choose from. The employees are super helpful and really nice! Can’t wait to go back and shop for some new records next time I visit!

The Little Record Shop That Could!
More than once, I have sung the praises of The Grove! As far as St. Louis hoods, The Grove is by far my favorite. Recent additions of The Demo and The Ready Room have certainly furthered that feeling. And Music Record Shop adds to The Grove love!
I don’t get out and buy records like I used to, much like most people now. However, I still support locals and my mainstream favorites.
If you’re a nut about vinyl, MRS is your place! They almost exclusive cater to the vinyl crowd. However, they do have a small CD selection, which is growing every day. If I’m going to buy limited addition vinyl, MRS has become my go-​to for these records.
Someone on here complained about the prices. First of all, vinyl is expensive across the board. You’ll spend just as much at Vintage Vinyl or Euclid Records. The CD prices are pretty par for the course.
MRS takes care of local talent! Their consignment deals are incredible, and they work hard to move those albums. Also, they like to showcase local bands with in-​stores. I went to one a few months back, and it was a pretty cool experience. They’ve also partnered with The Demo to promote local talent and craft beer for Happy Hours.

I loved it here! I agree that the prices are high, but the selection was quite decent, and the staff was pleasant.
I’d definitely stop by again.
By the way, I purchased Bright Eyes — LIFTED (or The Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground). Best. Album. Ever.

Decent selection, WAY overpriced. It’s a shame, because if the prices were lower I would’ve bought a few things.
