In town for business, looking for a good looking and picked McMurphy’s based on Unilocal reviews — I was not disappointed — great lunch!

Great place with amazing prices. They train chefs here and are a non-​profit organization. Food is good and for a great cause. It’s a good place to take a colleague for lunch or a breakfast meeting.

Reuben, chips, soda, and tax under $ 10. Very good food and prices. The Reuben is a ‘big as your head size’ and can likely be split between two people. It is delicious! The Reuben comes with homemade chips and pickle. The décor is very well done. I believe Starbucks sponsored them. The mission of the restaurant is to train homeless persons in the food service industry. Beware it might be a little chaotic behind the register and the service may be a little off because the staff is learning. But I’ve never had a long wait. The chef and manager are also usually mingling and working the crowd during the lunch rush. I just love this place!

I’d been meaning to come here for a while, because I’ve heard a lot of good things. It did not disappoint!
I always appreciate it when a place has good people working, and the staff here is better than any restaurant staff I can remember. Normally, you’re lucky to get a waiter who is attentive when you ask for something. The people here go out of their way to offer you things.
My girlfriend and I came in and ordered a soup to split with our sandwiches. One of the men behind the counter realized we were splitting, came over, and asked if we’d like him to serve it to us in two smaller bowls. This is not a huge deal in itself, but that’s just one example of the way they treat you here. They take service very seriously, and their chipper attitude gives the impression that they enjoy their jobs, which is as wonderful as it is rare.
I had a Reuben sandwich and Irish beef stew. Both were perfect. My girlfriend loved her turkey club. The portions were ginormous; our two sandwiches (which come with chips) and single order of soup could have fed four people. The price is also very reasonable, as our feast was only $ 25.
Can’t wait to come back.

My family and I visited here recently. This place has one of the best Reuben sandwiches! I also had their stew and it was fantastic! If you work downtown or are visiting St. Louis during the day, I would try this place out. The staff here is great and work very hard to ensure you have a pleasant experience. You should definitely check this place out!
