I would recommend Mattress Firm as a good place to go shopping for mattresses. The thing my husband and I most appreciated was the helpfulness of the salesperson, without there being a high pressure sale. We went as the first stop on our quest. We found one we really liked after hearing about the different types and laying on a bunch. The downside was that it was going to be close to $ 3000 for that one including delivery, taxes, and a frame. That was with a $ 600 discount. We left and did some research. We knew we were ready to make an investment but were unsure if we wanted to spend that much. We ended up going somewhere else and getting a better deal, bed we liked, for half the price. Regardless, I do recommend this place for shopping for a mattress.

As you would expect the salesperson is pushing you to buy something four seconds after you walk through the door. However their selection process by different colors for the firmness certainly helps.
We prefer to give our money to the little guy so this visit was just for price comparison. Turns out the little guy was cheaper too!
