Honestly, the owner is so stupid. I walked in tonight ready to spend 20 dollars on an entire and they can’t do it. I order a Reuben. And there is no sauerkraut! I order deep eddy tea and there isn’t enough in the bottle for a drink. I hope this place closes. If it wasn’t for people like Becky or Kelly, this place would be nothing. Never come here and if you do don’t expect them to have anything. Go to anywhere else is Saint Louis

What a gem of a restaurant. The owner pours her heart and soul into the place and you can tell in the quality of the food. The fried chicken on Sundays is a must have! I have been there several times and I have never been disappointed.

My second visit was even better than the first! A few Saturdays ago we were looking for a place to watch a Blues’ game, and thought hey… let’s go to Lou C’s! We were there on a Saturday evening and decided to sit in the bar area. First, the service was INCREDIBLE. The bartender was servicing a ton of people and we never once felt neglected. Anytime I thought I needed something, the bartender appeared(it was almost like magic). She even apologized for the service, which I couldn’t comprehend why! Maybe she is used to being even more amazing. I wish more servers were like her! One of the reasons I really like it here(in addition to the great service) is the cost of the drinks. We got some fun shots for $ 3 a piece. My husband and I had the apple-flavored shot and my sister and her boyfriend had the pineapple shot. They were really delicious and decently strong. I’ve never paid that much for a drink here, which is shocking considering that I’m usually there on a Friday or Saturday night. In addition to the cheap drinks, I really enjoy their food. We ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich, which was delicious. I love the bread that they serve their sandwiches on. The food came out hot and quickly. My favorite thing I ate during the night though had to be buffalo chicken rangoon. It is just like it sounds… rangoon stuffed with buffalo chicken. SO good and unique! I will definitely order this again the next time I’m there. I’d say the only downside is the TVs are relatively small, which made it hard to watch the game from where we were sitting. If they could increase the size of the TVs in the bar, then this place would be absolutely perfect. In sum, great service, food, and drink specials. Can’t wait to return again.

Unassuming neighborhood bar/restaurant but the food was great. Meatball sub is fantastic. Will go again.

Great local restaurant. My wife and I just ordered carry out of Corned Beef plate and a Reuben. It was some of the best I have ever had. Friendly staff, owner and bartender. Will definitely be back. It’s a must try, if you haven’t.

Horrible service. We sat at the bar to make a take out order and waited almost ten minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Once they did their unpleasant demeanor made us wish they hadn’t. We had hoped to pick up some toasted ravioli as we are former residents back in town visiting. Only to learn that this is probably the only establishment on The Hill that doesn’t serve toasted rav. Finished our one drink and left ASAP. Very disappointed as we had a history with the former owners dating back 25+ years.

Nice neighborhood bar featuring restaurant quality food. Seriously been thinking of the Southwest chicken sandwich since we first ate here a month ago. We will be back, frequently!

I live near this place and love coming here. The staff is friendly, the food is great, and the beer is cheap. What more could you want from a neighborhood bar/restaurant? I also love all the classic St. Louis images on the wall. My only gripe is that sometimes they are just too busy to find a seat, but that is only a testament to their great food/atmosphere.

We have not been to this place since Mr B’s. We were looking for somewhere we had not been before and decided to try Lou C’s. Glad we did. Had the Lou C’s burger dipped in Lou C’s sauce and smoked gouda. One word, Yummy. We will be back.

Favorite neighborhood bar, amazing staff, $ 9 homemade fried chicken on Sunday’s is a must. Great service, moderate pricing, and a fun atmosphere. Cannot say enough nice things about the patio or genuine effort they give to make patrons happy. Stop in and enjoy a neighborhood bar with great food and better service.

We ate at Lou C’s last night, and the food was delicious! First, we ordered an appetizer sampler– the Buffalo Chicken Rangoons were amazing and so unique! The Cannelloni Bites were another delicious part of the platter. My husband ordered The Club Burger, which was gigantic and delicious. I ordered the house salad, and let me tell you, the house salad dressing is the best salad dressing I have ever had! The service was also phenomenal, and they were short-handed last night. We will definitely be back!

Stop by for the first time and loved it! Try the combo app platter! Lots of unique homemade tasty items! Loved the cannoli bites and potato skins! Also tried the meat pizza. Very delish! Thin crust great sauce — true STL style. Very friendly service, fun crowd and cool atmosphere. Will for sure be back!

Really good food! Pizzas are good. Sandwiches are good. Wings are good. Actually, everything I’ve had there is good. Including maybe the best roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had, and I’ve had a lot of them! Excellent service. The patio is great, especially when there’s live music. Looking forward to going back!

Deceptively good food for a blue collar neighborhood bar. Their specials offer a nice variety from typical pub grub. The bartenders and servers are amazing. Lou C’s might have the best service that you’ll receive at any bar in St. Louis. Their drink prices are good.(Well drinks for $ 3.75 on Tuesdays.) The one thing that bugged me is the crowd is all regulars and they all know each other. Although the staff is very friendly, I felt a little uncomfortable that the customers were tight with each other and they were like a clique.

1st time here and it was terrific. i had the french dip with the extra sauteed onions, mushrooms and peppers. it was a huge and oh-so-tasty sandwich. i chose tater tots, the come back kids, seasoned and dusted with parmesan cheese. yum yum. (my only gripe, and it is not their fault: overpriced craft beer at $ 5.00 a small mug. the 4 hands red ale was good, but we all know beer is relatively cheap to make. so why do people like me keep over-paying for it? i could have had the $ 2.00 special coors light.) they do have daily beer specials and drink specials. try it. you’ll like it!

I went here last night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. I was hesitant for a couple reasons — I prefer to go to places that publish their menu and I used to go to this place when it was Mr. B’s.(And its hard to compete with such good memories.) We had reserved a couple tables in the bar and I was glad we were placed there. Becky was our waitress, bartender and table busser. What she lacks in height(4’11AND A HALF!), she more than makes up with hospitality. She offered suggestions… definitely try the spinach artichoke bites… and when our beers were kind of warm and we asked if she had cold mugs she got them for us apologetically and sweetly. She juggled all of us and the people in the bar and I think the people outside beautifully.(Yeah, I’m a fan.) The other people there did help. If they were passing by and their hands weren’t full they grabbed an empty plate or asked if we needed something. It was a team effort. The spicy cheese balls, an old app that made the cut to Lou C’s were good. The Lou C’s wrap was huge but be sure to get the sauce on the side it was too hot for me(thanks for the tip Becky!) and as strange as it sounds, their tater tots were AWESOME. Right amount of crunch and some different seasoning. The cannelloni bites were good but nothing spectacular. While I didn’t try the potato skins they were HUGE and it looked like they had a pound of bacon on them. The pizza was thin crusted goodness and someone ordered the fish sandwich and while it was fried it was not overly battered and was another large sandwich. The drink prices were reasonable and after some suggestions from Becky some settled on flavored vodka drinks that were mixed perfectly. A margarita that someone had ordered had too much mix in it I thought but one of us at the table really liked it so they ended up drinking it and paying for it. Although Becky was(again) happy to accommodate us and make something to replace the margarita. It had grapefruit vodka in it and was surprisingly good. Yum. And to celebrate one of the birthday girls a shot. So why only 3 stars? Warm beer. No online menu(although I’m about to fix that). Both warrant a star by themselves. Would I go back? Probably. To make new memories. :)

Big fan of this place! I have been a few times now and love it. It’s small but clean and comfy. The food is outstanding. I’ve had the house salad with Mr. B’s dressing — loved it, the french dip — awesome, the Lou C’s wrap — delicious, the fried cheese balls — GOOD, and the tots — amazing. My visits have been during lunch break and Lou C’s is quick enough for my hour break. Not many restaurants in the neighborhood can accomplish this so I really appreciate their timeliness. I definitely recommend Lou C’s. I’m craving that house salad as I type!

We came across this restaurant noticing the ownership had changed yet again. The inside is nice and inviting, plenty of alcohol choices. We started with the house salad. It wasn’t just your typical romaine with tomato. It consisted of mixed greens, onion, tomato, croutons, and of course provel cheese. Do yourself a favor and get the house dressing(Mr. B’s). It is excellent! We had the spaghetti, club burger, salmon, and fried chicken. The appetizers were different as well, we will try one of them next time. Now for the service. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. There were definitely no issues in that department. We will be back :)
