Great place for beer and a meal. Always fast and friendly service. They have a pretty wide selection of draft, bottle, and can beer. Sunday brunch has a great food selection!

Pathetic food and the wait for the stinkin food is really unfortunate! $ 70 later, really they have no clue on how to serve even decent pub food not to mention the lame atmosphere, do not waste your $ or time.

First, the food and beers were awesome. I ordered the smokehouse burger and it was done perfectly. Normally I put ketchup mustard or something on my burger, but this burger didn’t need anything. My wife ordered the Southerner sandwich. She loved it. It has granny smith apples along with blue cheese, ham, and pulled pork. Her sandwich had a lemon honey glaze with sourdough bread. We ordered the pulled pork nachos for the appetizer. It looks like a regular pub on the outside. However, on the inside the atmosphere was very nice. It was one of the cleanest bars and certainly the cleanest restrooms I have ever seen in a bar. We would definitely go back if in the area. I almost forgot, we had really good service from our waiter and from the bartender.

Christmas eve we couldn’t find anyone open and then we saw a sign saying, now serving lunch. Turned out to be the best thing you could ask for. Great beer selection. Killer bar maid and the food was the big surprise. Had a burger toped with smoked brisket and home made slaw. The flavors blended perfectly and it was stacked high with brisket. Wife got a Tuscan chicken sandwich that was tender and vary flavorful also. So here we are two days later and the wife wants to go back already. Enough Said? Give them a try, you will be glad you did.

Went there last night for the second time. The first time, I had come by for a drink on my friend’s birthday. This time, we were here for dinner, too. The service was spectacular(Chris was our server). The food was even better. I had«the Southerner» — a pulled pork sandwich with bleu cheese and thinly-sliced apple. It was freaking unbelievable. I ordered pineapple slaw as my side, and it might have even outdone the sandwich. Also, very reasonably-priced, and great atmosphere. 3 thumbs up for this place. Will be back, and soon.

Great pizza and beer selection, good happy hour specials, and a nice old fashioned style bar space. I was pleasantly surprised. Look forward to trying the brunch.

This is the old Jacksons. WAY nicer on the inside now! Service was good and the wings are incredible!!! I went Sunday for brunch, everyone agreed the wings were stellar and their actual meals were subpar. The drinks(and how CHEAP they were) made up for it though. I would definitely go back– but not for brunch.

I love the atmosphere here. Chris, the bartender we usually see, is prompt, helpful, and always cheery. I also love that you can get a true half pint pull from the tap if you are looking to try some different beers, or you don’t want to drink *too* much. Seating is always comfortable though we’ve only sat near or at the bar, music isn’t intrusive(typically some older blues in my experience), and the food is amazing! Favorite foods: Smoked chicken wings, pork nachos, and brisket sandwich Next meal: Pizza and wings(I can’t get enough of these wings!) Great atmosphere, great food, good beer selection!

Came here late Sunday afternoon for a late lunch/early dinner. Few people at the bar, we were the only dining patrons. Looks a little trashy at first glance from the outside… Don’t be fooled, the inside is clean and interesting. Seems like it would be busier/fun place to hang out on weekends/weeknights. Started with the smoked wings. The consensus was unanimous: the wings are great. Smoked, instead of fried. I was tempted to get the southerner sandwich per Unilocal suggestions. Wanted something lighter on the stomach, so I opted for the veggie sandwich on sourdough. 6 or so perfectly grilled veggies stacked high between two pieces of the aforementioned bread. Fried banana split and butter cake for desert. I recommend the butter cake. Be prepared to share desert; it is rich. I was pleased with the beer selection. Mix of craft and macro-brews.

This is a great neighborhood bar! I have had a wonderful experience each time i’ve been in(probably about 10 times). First, happy hour EVERYDAY from 4 – 7. It’s hard to find a bar that does happy hour 7 days a week. The specials include $ 1 off draught beers and buy 1 get 1 appetizer half off. Perfect place to drop by after work while you let the rush hour traffic calm down. Beer selection is OK. i wish there were more options. They have a decent draught beer selection and its mostly craft which is a plus. Full bar. so wine and liquor options as well. The food is amazing. Honestly, this might be why i keep coming. The chicken wings are the best chicken wings i’ve ever had in my LIFE. And i eat a lot of chicken wings, people. The smothered fries are great, toasted raviolis are delicious, they have pizzas and sandwiches. something for everyone. The atmosphere at MPH is great. A lot of wood. rustic and cozy. Touch tunes jukebox available to patrons. They did a fantastic job with the interior. Upon entering, you may assume that it’s a one-room shotgun style bar. Once you walk towards the end of the bar you will see an additional dining room which includes tables, couches, and even a piano! All-around great place, great service, stop by here when you have a chance.

I went with a group of 7 to watch the US Women’s soccer game… this place isn’t known to be a soccer bar but they do have a bunch of new TV’s so we gave them a shot. Our waitress, Shenah was tremendously awesome. She got the game on for us on two TV’s and was super-attentive. A+ on service. They have a pretty good happy hour that lasted until 7… buy one app and get the second ½ off. Wells were $ 3. Pints were $ 1 off. The food was unique… a bit fancier then most pubs but while I liked the selection, the dishes were just OK. We tried brisket nachos, loaded fries, chicken wings, buffalo pizza, scotch eggs and fish tacos. The space is nice… lots of booths, the tables are all new, there is a couch and lounge area in the second room. We were jumping and screaming… and it seemed like the regulars got into it. By the time the game was over, all of their TV’s were tuned to it and everyone was cheering the US team on.

Friendly newish neighborhood pub in an old building. It’s actually quite big and the interior reminds me of the Royale on Kingshighway, with less charms(yet) and without the hipster crowd. They have REALLYGOOD wings here! If you are going to eat anything, get those.

I really wanted to like this place. Not in the best area. A little run down & dark. I have to warn others; don’t even order a pizza here. Never order the pulled pork pizza. The pork… I have nothing to say. The crust was soggy. The toppings were separate from the pizza. Poorly executed. Will give one more chance since the burgers look appeasing & the fries rock. I’m now being told to put mustard on this review but I don’t even like mustard.

Awesome happy hour, good beer selection. I appreciate the half pint options so you can try a bunch of the available brews. The Southerner sandwich, with pulled pork, ham, bleu cheese, and apple, was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in STL. My mouth is literally watering thinking about it. Definitely worth checking out. Service was a little weird– all my friends’ sandwiches were brought out at different times and one person’s order was seemingly forgotten. The waitress was apologetic though and it is a pub, so eh. All in all, some room for improvement but two thumbs up!

Seems like a well-run place. The employees are very friendly and attentive, and the food is pretty good. I had the BBQ pulled pork pizza, which was awesome, and brisket nachos, which were pretty good. The rest of the menu looked promising as well. Prices were not horrible. Go during happy hour!

See pics of bbq brisket sandwich and The Southerner sandwich. Went for lunch. Space is open and clean, service by the bartender friendly. BBQ Brisket — Good but would like the sauce to be more spicy(that’s coming from my friend who asks for everything to be as spicy as possible, so take that with a grain of salt) BBQ Beans — Very tasty but were served warm, not hot The Southerner sandwich — 3⁄5 — Very interesting sandwich on grilled sourdough with pulled pork with ham, blue cheese, apple slices, and honey lemon glaze. I would move this up to 4⁄5 minimum if the sandwich just had either more glaze or some kind of sauce. The pulled pork with ham came off dry. Fries — 5⁄5 — Absolutely delicious! Great texture. Crispy outside, light, fluffy inside, dusted with sea salt(? I think he said sea salt) but didn’t taste too salty at all. Very, very good.

4 soon to be 5, I think. Dropped in to grab a few drinks after a movie at the Tivoli and before our NYE reservations at Farmhaus. Décor is excellent. They did a really great job with this bar. Excellent beer selection, particularly the stouts/ales, which don’t always get much love on drafts. Had a few beers I had not even heard of, including a barrel aged coffee stout from Charleville Brewery in St. Genevieve. Warm and cozy. Leather couches, rich mahogany, lots of stone. Given that we were drinking heavy beers and on our way to dinner, we only had a snack. The housemade chips(Yams + Beets + Can’t Remember) were excellent. The rest of the menu looked great, with lower prices than expected. The bartender mentioned that the chef smoked all of his own meats out back, which was apparent by the menu. We will definitely be back to have dinner sometime soon, and probably sooner for their 4 – 7 daily happy hour. One thing I HAVE to mention. We sat directly in front of the taps at the bar, so we chatted with the bartender(who was training a new employee). She very extremely nice and friendly. We noticed that she was having a ton of difficulty pouring the dark beers(guinness/coffee stouts) because they are so foamy. She ended up scooping out the foam and pouring, then repeating. Had no idea how to offer advice without sounding like the king of pretentious douches, so we didn’t say anything. From Guinness: 1. Hold glass at 45 degree angle. 2. Fill until foam is ~1″ from the rim of glass. 3. Set aside to settle for ~2 minutes. 4. Top off the glass until the foam is slightly above the rim. Hopefully that will help with pouring the dark beers! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because the beer seems a little on the pricey side, but certainly nothing crazy and I get that it is more expensive to bring in a bunch of cool microbrewerys. Looking forward to our return and confident that my next experience will bump this up to a 5.

We’ve been anxiously awaiting for this place to open! We came last night and couldn’t be more pleased! The sirloin burger and fries were great! Our friends ordered the wings and they looked really good. Cannot wait to come again!
