The waitress was rude, and the food was overpriced for the quality. The«seafood» salad consisted of two cold pieces of shrimp and two small chunks of salmon for 12.95. The coffee is also cold and the waitress tried to blame us for putting milk in it. Definitely will not be back.

Went here late in the evening, service was awesome and the portions were huge. They could have closed early due to no one being there but they stayed open for us and never pushed us to leave. The food was great, if you get the tortellini, bring a friend, it takes two to finish it!

Simple place with simple but tasty pasta. Sat in the bar not the restaurant. Great house salad with Italian dressing. Asked for a bolognese even though it wasn’t on the menu and sure no problem. Cold bottled Italian beer. 3 minute walk from Hilton. Beats the Hilton bar. Good if you’re in the area but wouldn’t travel here, no ma’am.

Haven’t been there in years, but went for my dad’s birthday. The smell of Italian sauces in the restaurant was divine. Everyone in our party had completely different dishes, and everyone was very happy. My eggplant parmesan was really tasty and they even brought a nice piece of birthday pie for my dad. I’ll be back.

Get the pizza you’ll love it. If you like St. Louis style then it’s your place plus if you have a long layover it’s so worth it.

Will Not be returning. Food was terrible quality. Fried Cod sandwich arrived, and luckily I cut it in half before taking a bite. Was spoiled and freezer burnt. Sent it back and opted for chicken. Unappetizing! Very dry, over cooked and obviously frozen. I would be 99% of their menu starts in the freezer. Décor is meh, and smells like old mop water. Overall, just very disappointing. I’d write a note about the attitude of the wait staff, but I’ve been sitting here for 20 and haven’t seen one to get my Tab.

The food is quite good. The wait staff is amazing. The red sauce however is very generic and there calamari is very bland.

We had lunch here after looking at the menu online. The prices on the menu at the restaurant were almost DOUBLE what the website had said. So misleading! Our server was spacey and seemed to care less about us. Food was mediocre at best. I had spaghetti, which was 65% puréed tomatoes(bleh) and 35% overlooked soggy noodles. What a let down.

I found the staff here to be inattentive, and cold. The hostess eventually got off of her barstool and met me at the door to ask«can I help you???» I chose to sit at the bar because the restaurant was empty. The hostess joined me at the bar moments later to continue watching her television show. The bartender didn’t have anything to say to me despite me being the only patron in the restaurant at the time. He spent the majority of his time with his back turned to me and the rest of the bar playing games on his phone. The«calzone big enough to share» was a real disappointment in every respect, namely size, price, and taste. I’m easy to please but do not recommend this place.

Do not come to this place. I had spaguetties and meat sauce and the sauce was really sweet. How do you screw up. A meat sauce? About impossible., pricey., probably the worst Italian food I have ever had.

Overpriced. Small portion. Chicken parm was $ 18 and was a small portion. Bow tie pasta side was overcooked and under sauced. Only good thing was toasted ravioli!!!

this was like moving back in time, into the 1970’s or something. but, it’s a family type establishment, so i sort of get it. people raved about the fried ravioli, which didn’t really do it for me. i dunno, they seemed sort of hard and dried out. i didn’t think they were that exciting and wouldn’t get them again. i will see that my seafood linguini was packed with fresh seafood. mongo scallops, and several shrimp. the clams were all chopped up in the sauce and was a little hard to distinguish. the dish was huge and wasn’t bad. the portions were so large that i couldn’t take it all out.(maybe i should have skipped the ravioli.) not outstanding flavors, but okay. staff was friendly and efficient. really, this is somewhere around 2 ½ stars. i might have been a little crankypants when i visited.

Overpriced for food that is just… blah. The antipasti was just sadness. «Famous» salad was browning iceberg with a few pepperonis thrown in. You are paying for convenience, as it is right next door to the Drury hotel. If you are SO tired from traveling, this place will do. But ask yourself, just how tired are you?

Avoid this DUMP! Wholly momma…4 people in my table got sick from a nasty lunch here. St Louis has plenty to offer so unless you are desperate eat here… but if you are flying then just wait an eat airport which is across the street. The place just smells bad when you walk in, the crew running this place is scary and the food awful.

Lombardo’s was surprisingly decent, considering its location and association to the Drury Hotel. It’s dark and old-school Italian, with lots of business people showing up there(that was my situation). The menu has all of the usual suspects– pastas, seafood, surf and turf, etc. I had the linguini with clams and it was very good. The bread served was also good and while the wines-by-the glass list was average, it did have something for everyone. Our server was a bit of a dud– he mixed up our drink orders and seemed to just be going through the motions. Overall, I thought the food was overpriced but oddly, the wine list was fairly inexpensive. You will not leave hungry and I definitely had the feeling that a lot of the menu was based on old family recipes.

The creamy Italian dressing is very good(especially if you like anchovies and garlic). It went well with the spinach salad. Seafood Rigatoni was tasty. The apple cobbler was good, but the crust was uninspired. It was a bit cool on the bottom-like it had been reheated in the microwave.

Everything about this location was ok with the exception of price. And I say THIS location because it appears that there are several restaurants owned by the Lombardo Family — Lombardo’s Trattoria at 2010 South 20th Street, Downtown St Louis, Terrazza Grill at 249 Arnold Crossroads Center in Arnold MO, Angelo’s Taverna at 316 Market Street in St Louis, Carmine’s Steak House at 20 South 4th Street in St Louis and this location on NAtural Bridge Road. Now — when I said everything was ok except the price I meant — the food was ok — nothing spectacular, the service was ok — our meals were not brought out together, the waitress was ok — nothing out of the ordinary — I had to ask for a refill of my water and she didn’t listen well to our desert order and messed it up twice and the overall cleanliness was ok. However, for all this«ok» the price was a bit steep and should have been about 10 to at least 15% lighter! Fancy Italian names and great sounding food is only great when it’s great. The white cotton napkins sit well on your lap, but doesn’t make the food taste better nor should you charge more for it. I highly doubt that I’d return to this place for a second try — nothing was really memorable for me here!

With not a lot of choices in the immediate airport area and looking for something other than the hotel’s restaurant, I gave Lombardo’s another shot. I’ve been here a few times and it is pretty much OK but always comes up just a bit short. The service is OK. The food is OK. The prices are OK. It’s just OK. I had a veal chop and my associate had the chicken bordelaise. The veal was pretty good although the bone was as big as any I have seen in a veal chop. I really don’t care for their red sauce which was on my side of pasta and that I have had on the veal parmesan before. The wines by the glass are fair and when served at St. Louis in the summer room temperature, are even less so. You can tell this is a restaurant that was probably very good in its day but has lost something over the years.

My girlfriend’s father had his birthday dinner here a couple weeks ago. I was skeptical because it was attached to a hotel but after I walked I could tell it was legitimate. The owner’s daughter said hello to us at our table and got to know us a little.. It was really nice of her to go out of her way like that. I love it when establishments do this as it really enriches the experience. The wait staff was very professional and served the table in a formal/traditional manner(i.e. Oldest to youngest). Not many restaurants do that anymore so it adds a nice touch to the experience. The bread they bring out before the meal is amazing. I almost filled up on it before my meal. The toasted ravioli we ordered did not help either. I should note hat this is THEBEST toasted ravioli I have EVER had. Every ingredient that went into it fit perfectly with the dish. Now don’t get your expectations too high because I said that, but DO try the toasted ravioli. The other thing to note is that eating here is basically like getting a 3 course meal. Everything comes with a soup or salad, a main dish, and side dish(i.e. noodles). The proportions are large which I love because leftovers are something I always look forward to – whether its 2 hours after I eat or the next day! I don’t remember my main dish but it was very good. I tried some of the other dishes at the table from pasta to seafood and they were all amazing. I would recommend this establishment to pretty much anyone who likes Italian food. And remember, ORDERTHETOASTEDRAVIOLI!

3.25 stars. Not as bad as some of the reviews on Unilocal suggest, Lombardos has been in St. Louis for years according to my sources, this latest iteration by the airport adjacent to the Drury Hotel. Ambience is circa 1975. Dark and old school, but not in a clubby, classy way. Think a dark Olive Garden… Service was funny. One gentleman server on a recent visit was eclectic funny. Not on purpose. But funny nonetheless. We rolled with the punches and enjoyed the spotty service. We came in with a larger group another time and two seasoned women were our servers, and they were efficient and friendly. Food is good, not great. The salads are not noteworthy, and the minestrone soup was passable. The pasta in the soup unfortunately was limp and lifeless indicating it had been in the mix all day rather than inserted prior to serving and al dente. Calamari was ok, but suffered from a thin, uninspired marinara sauce. Try the fried spinach. Kinda crispy, but melt in your mouth, this appetizer was an interesting and pleasant surprise. Unique, too. The veal parm was a large portion, appropriately prepared. Truthfully if you put enough cheese on anything it will taste good, and that’s the case here. Similar was the lasagna, but I must admit I enjoy Lombardos lasagna. It’s big enough to fill the plate and not on the Weight Watchers points program. Veal saltimbocca was one larger, pounded piece of veal(rather than several smaller pieces), filled with cheese and prosciutto. It tasted good, but isn’t your classic preparation seen in most Italian places. Wine is served in smallish casual glasses. Don’t expect Riedel and you won’t be disappointed. Martinis come in perhaps the smallest martini glasses I’ve ever seen. The best part of Lombardos is that it is convenient to the airport hotels like the Marriott and Hilton. In the airport area it is one of the better places, especially if you don’t want Indian or Chinese cuisine. Don’t go in expecting Ristorante Alfredo’s Alla Scrofa and you’ll enjoy Lombardos.
