The food is good and fresh and the salsa has just the right spice and very good. Good service, great margaritas and good atmosphere. The best part is that it’s affordable. I recommend it!

Quality Mexican food at a good price. It has a nice atmosphere and look about it. I love the fajitas!

Good service. Great lunch specials. Their shrimp enchiladas were easily an 8.5÷10. I really loved their rice, salsa, and guacamole. Even better, I was pleased to see that they offer a good array of vegetarian options! Bonus points for the really fantastic iced tea and extra fresh chips. :)

Having been to their Arnold location, we wanted to try this location for Cinco de Mayo as it is closer to our house. It was quite busy but surprisingly our party was seated inside pretty fast. However we had to feast on chips & salsa for awhile until we got a waiter’s attention to take at least our drink orders. We all got margaritas and they came in to-go cups — score! The waiter finally came back, we ordered some food and settled in as it took some time to get to us. Everything arrived hot — I had the flautas, my husband the fried tacos, our friend the chicken nachos. It was a great cinco!

Just had dinner tonight at Las Fuentes. South County’s best kept secret, Best Mexican around. I had the steak Fajita Burrito. It had grilled onion, green pepper and tomatoes with steak. It was bursting with flavor and the steak was so tender it melted in my mouth. My husband was eye balling my food. He had the fried tacos and said they were great, but he said Next time he’s getting the fajita burrito! Haha! That says A lot because this guy usually only wants American or Italian food and that is it!!! A real chore to get him to Mexican much less get him to try something different. So Hooray for Las Fuentes, looks like I may be able to have Mexican food more than a couple times a year(unless I make it myself)!!! Oh one more thing, had Negro Modelo when I was in Cabo San Lucas(bottle only) but had it draft tonight at Las Fuentes, so perfect with my dinner. Our waitress was outstanding and we left very happy customers!

Have been here a few times with my family and have yet to be disappointed. Today, however, is the first time I’ve come in for lunch and they have a good lunch menu! I always love the pan fried tacos or the fish tacos, but today I opted for the lunch enchiladas. They were delicious and only 5.99. Seriously, I was so pleasantly surprised. The service was good today, it has been touch-and-go in the past but they were busy more often than not, which is totally forgivable at that point. Overall, I have never been let down by Las Fuentes. I also hear they have awesome happy hour drinks, but haven’t been able to partake. Next time!

Found this place because it was near my new house. The staff was nice and prompt. The restaurant clean and fun. The food was amazing. We ordered enchiladas and fajitas. The amount of food they give you is more then expected and the price was just right. There are so many mexican restaurant around town that have boring food that taste the same. Las Fuentes is not that type of place and I’m so happy I found a great new mexican restaurant

Really a very pleasant surprise after reading some of the reviews. Loved the fish tacos and the mango cheese sause was the best I’ve ever had. So large a serving we took home leftovers for a full meal tomorrow. Our waiter did forget to put the bill on 2 checks as requested though.

What is wrong with the lackluster reviews? I LOVE this place! my family loves coming here too. everyone I’ve brought to Las Fuentes loved it! I think the prices are pretty great and the service is very friendly and fast. I personally love the chimichanga and the chips and salsa. My favorite place in Oakville to eat!

The food is ok, not amazing, but fits the bill when craving Mexican. I love the Crazy Taco salad with chicken. Décor is cheesy & restaurant could use a good cleaning.

I’ve been back to Las Fuentes twice in the past months, and both times the service has been horrible. Slow and rude with the uncanny ability of leaving their tables unattended.

I came here for the first time tonight, while visiting my family for the holidays. Maybe I just have standards for Mexican restaurants, being from Texas and all, but this is the worst Mexican dining experience I’ve ever had. Not only were the chips cold and stale, but they got my order wrong a whopping four times. I had to order in Spanish before I got what I actually wanted.

Food is run of the mill, bland and a tad pricey given the lack of quality. I believe the only reason they are still in biz is that there are no other Mexican restaurants in that area. Service is mediocre at best. Waiters who barely speak English don’t make for good communicators when asked questions. Décor is nice and colorful to me(perhaps over-the-top-festive is ok) Best bets are white queso dip, and chimichangas. Salsa is very runny and too heavy on the cilantro(boy, do I miss Casa’s thick, chunky, flavorful salsa, even if it was not home-made.) I guess I have to go back, my young girls love it

Living in south county means not living by many really good restaurants. There are a few exceptions that I list below, but we are not the mecca of fine cuisine. So anytime something new opens my hopes build with the excitement of discovering a new place to go not far from home. Las Fuentes is not a new restaurant but I was hopeful that it would answer the call to improve the areas choices when it opened up a few years ago, sadly this is just another serve’em and get’em out restaurant. As I already mentioned It has been around for a few years but the food is just OK. In fact I don’t enjoy it as much as when it originally opened. The menu consist of typical Mexican dishes, but definitely not freshly made or very authentic tasting. The deserts are often frozen and brought back to an eatable temperature for serving. Even the margarita’s taste like they came out of a pre-mixed bottle. If you’re in the area, you should try it, but hold your expectations to a so-so level or you’ll be disappointed. The cost is reasonable which is why I give them three stars and a recommendation to try them. My «A» list of south county restaurants include Gianino’s and Frankie G’s, both owned by the Gianino family, Rizzo’s, Lemay Wok and Red Lobster.(Yes, I know it’s a chain but it still ranks.) I may be missing someone, but if I am it obviously wasn’t memorable.

I visited Las Fuentes today. This little place is great. The menu is full of great items. I know this seems immature, but I like the menu because it is very descriptive and has pictures for most of their dishes. I tried the fish tacos. They were not all that authentic but they were very good. And the plate came with 4 of them plus rice and beans. I also tried the Alambra dish. This was very good too with different meats(I think chorizo, ham, and beef) served over corn tortillas. I also tried a chile relleno as a side. This too was very good. This place is a bit of a drive for me so I’m not sure I will be back anytime soon. But I highly recommend it for anyone looking for some good Mexican food in the oakville area.

Friendly typical Tex-Mex Mexican spot. Prices a tad higher. I got the tacos al pastor, they were okay. Wife got chimichangas and were different not so good. Kid got nachos with beef not bad but not amazing but on the salty side. Overall I am sure we exceeded our sodium content for the week. Very salty food. The staff seemed pleasant and the facilities were very clean!

You walk into what can only be described as someone vomited up bright colors. Wow. Burns your eyes it’s so tropical in there! The thing that saves this place: bowl o’ chihuahua cheese. They don’t know how to make this stuff in Chicago. We *almost* delayed the drive home to pick some up to-go as a road trip snack! Taco salad though, not good. I asked for no sour cream, but I think between the guacamole and the grease from the chicken, it ended up making taco salad gray soup in the bottom of my shell. I picked at it but ultimately ended up making do with more cheese and chips! The cheese is good, the Diet Coke is fountain and the chairs have different brightly colored animals and birds on them. If we weren’t on this side of town, I wouldn’t make a special trip for it.
