July Office Hours @ The Silver Ballroom

As usual another awesome event! I just LOVE the Silver Ballroom so that’s also a plus.
I’m no pinball wizard that’s for sure, but I did have a lot of fun playing here.
Lots of folks came out so I also got to meet a few new Unilocalers.
The pizza was a nice touch and I’m sure I ate more than my share.

Great event, as always. I have been meaning to check out the Silver Ballroom for some time and knew this event would be a good excuse to check it out.
First of all, our awesome Unilocal CM, Abby S, brought along enough quarters for all Unilocalers to play for free, and bought us all pizza from Mr. X. For that alone, this is a 5 star event. Then you throw in cheap drinks and good company and you have a damn good time.
The Silver Ballroom itself is a really cool place. A ton of pinball machines including 3 that you can play for free, an old school jukebox, and quite a few unique mixed drinks and beers. This will definitely be a place I will be coming back to.
Unilocalers are such a fun group and it was nice meeting some new ones and seeing familiar faces too. As the official Unilocal booze hound, I fully approve of this event.

Office Hours at the Silver Ballroom was a great mid week event! How cool is it that Abby brought tons of quarters so we could all play pinball!
I think I managed to try out most of the games, which were all super super hard except for the free ones. I used to play a lot when I was a kid and I don’t remember pinball being so difficult. Maybe I’m just getting old.
Even though the Mr. X was late, it went really well with my weach in a can! It was cool to chat with the owners for a bit, who are turbo nice btw, and seemed genuinely happy to have the Unilocalers there.
I got to meet more Unilocalers this time too, and so far everyone I met has been really cool and totally the kind of peeps I would hang out with. And, another Elsevier connection was discovered! My real/​internets/​work selves are getting so confused :)
