Smoke detector was broken and nobody came to fix it despite being asked. Curtains were broken. Lamp plug-in was broken. Staff acted disinterested and were not helpful. By far and away the worst Holiday Inn Express I’ve ever stayed at. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is that it was clean enough and the bed/bathroom were the normal, comfortable accommodations that you would expect from this company. It is also VERY close to Barnes Jewish Hospital and to some great restaurants.

The suites are nice and comfortable, the updated rooms are nice. Thankfully the area offers several new and great restaurants to choose from.

Worst Holiday Inn Express we have ever stayed at! The carpet in the rooms are damp and the whole room stinks! Also, when we got here, the toilet was not clean and there was brown crud on the toilet seat! They didn’t clean our room and when we called the front desk, they said they only clean rooms every 3 days?! Then why do you leave a card in the room that says to leave our towels on the floor if you want them washed?! Parking isn’t free and there is no fridge or microwave. Awful stay! Can’t believe they can call this a holiday inn express…

Bottom line up front: Without a doubt the worst Holiday Inn I’ve ever stayed in. Like others have commented, my room smelled like sewage. The room was clean, but lacked a refrigerator and a microwave, which was a first. The cleaning lady failed to ensure that the coffee machine worked, it was lacking the little tray so I couldn’t brew any coffee. What was worse, is that the coffee in the breakfast area wasn’t even hot. The bathroom was cramped and the ceiling by the sink was so low I couldn’t even stand up. I needed to use the computer in the lobby, but one of them wasn’t working and the staff were too busy playing on the other for me to print some documents for work. The gym was dirty and not well maintained. Some of the equipment was broken and there wasn’t a way to leave feedback to have it repaired. Unless you«have» to be in this location, look elsewhere. Parking is not free. The positives were the breakfast, which was on par with other Holiday Inn express hotels, the location, and the terrific AC.

John, the front desk gentleman was very friendly and inviting and fun to talk to. The lobby, as well as the room was clean and nicely decorated. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the bed on one side squeezed every time my husband moved! Needless to say it was a rough nice of sleep since my husband is a restless sleeper. Probably should’ve had him trade sides!

Very ghetto holiday inn. I’m sure renovations improved this place, but not much in my view. The staff at the front was extremely friendly when we got here. But I guess when different people come in, the attitude changes depending on the person. Elevator is extremely small and hot. There is no swimming pool here. Breakfast is normal. Now for the room, it stunk like ass when we got there. Housekeeper had to come in and spray freshener, but did not last, had to take a shower to rid of the smell. Will invest into own cleaning supplies for my time here, 4 weeks. Room is kinda comfortable. You have to request a mini fridge. Microwave is in breakfast room. Internet password changes everyday which is very annoying. My recommendation, if you want a cheap hotel, come here and you get what you pay for, but if you want cheap but comfortable, do your research before you book to make sure that the hotel you stay at is comfortable.

I stayed here a few days on my trip on St. Louis. Nice hotel with updated renovations. It’s on the corner of Lindell and Euclid. Parking is $ 5. You can’t beat being a few blocks from the central west end restaurants and bars. The staff here from the maintenance guy to the housekeepers are all friendly and greet you in the morning. Reminds me of why I’m proud to be from Missouri. Definitely will come back.

Like any other holiday inn express, it’s good. Good breakfast. Decent rooms. The biggest problem here is the size of the bathroom. It’s too small. Showers are 2.5 foot wide. Everything is crammed into a 8x5f bathroom. The shower itself is 5×2.5f. It’s so tiny. The bathroom exhaust fan doesn’t work. Apparently it doesn’t work for any of the rooms here. The stink gets trapped inside the room. The service is good. People are helpful.
