HG Dance Club

Some individuals on Unilocal seem to have the impression that businesses’ advertising and promotional practices are not part of the customer experience, and as such, not relevant to include in a review. I can assure you they are, as this describes business ethics and what a customer may expect should they choose to text a number /​facebook profile to be put on a guestlist (if you are reading this, just say no). If a business had a sales person who continued calling after being asked to stop, this would be worth putting in a review. This is the essence of what I am reviewing: questionable/​illegal marketing and harassment. The venue has a pretty interior with decent DJ lighting, but this cannot make up for my past experiences.
This review pertains mostly to the advertising practices the hired promoter of HG Dance Club, Liquid Assets Events. Liquid Assets Events has a well documented history of using automated spambots to gather facebook friends and spam users’ inbox and timelines. These promoters have been bombarding my Facebook and friends with undesired promotional material, and they do not provide the means by which to unsubscribe, as nobody monitors reply messages asking them to stop. The spam will continue until you manage to block all the accounts this promoter is using to spam and cease to allow new friend requests. The spam came from a Facebook account with the alias, Meso Soc, which I traced back to Liquid Assets Events. Since this account received so many reports for spam, it has since been shut down, but the promotional team employs many other accounts.
I contacted HG Dance Club’s management to try to resolve this issue, as the promoters do not reply or act on messages requesting that they unsubscribe me from their list. Management there claims no knowledge of this, although it’s quite apparent through screenshots I sent management their promotional company was using a Facebook spambot.
HG Dance Club does not wish to take any action to ensure these practices cease. As such, I feel no choice but to cease all future business with this club. Let this review be a warning to others to not like their page on facebook and promptly deny/​block new friend requests from any individuals with a connection to Liquid Assets or HG Dance Club.
Shame on you for driving away customers by denying hiring such an annoying promotional company and then being unwilling to respond to my complaints to ensure I do not receive any additional unsolicited advertising.
