Happy Wok

Recovering from surgery at our motel, we decided to have dinner delivered. We waited over an hour. Called back — it would be 20 minutes. After 30 minutes I called back — he was in the lobby. We waited 15 minutes more (how long can it take to ride the elevator up?), then they called to see where our room was. My husband went down and found the delivery person wandering around the lobby.
But, it’s about the food after all. Egg drop soup — excellent. All the sauces were good. But the ingredients were mostly the same: green peppers (huge squares), celery, onions. What happened to snow peas, beans sprouts, water chestnuts, etc?
House special lo mein: best of the dishes we ordered.
Chicken garlic: Little hotter than I expected, but would have been fine with some bite-​size vegetables other than just the 3 mentioned.
We ordered moo shu roo and the mandarin pancakes. We received tortillas — not the same! I cook Asian food myself and have made them. They’re more like crepes than tortillas, and usually have sesame oil flavor, as it’s used to keep the pancakes separated when you roll them out — 2 at a time. Also, the moo shoo usually has mushrooms and other veggies (can’t remember), but definitely not green pepper & celery. Then the beaten eggs are added during the stir fry process, but these eggs were in large chunks.
Another dinner that ended up being partially eaten and thrown out. If you decide to brave it, order by the number — their English can be difficult to understand.

After having to tell them woman on the phone my order 3 times, she told me it would be here in 40 minutes. 1 hour later I call them back and after finally figuring out if my food was even ready, the man I was speaking with hung up on me.
When the same man showed up to my door I confronted him about it taking (at this point) almost an hour and a half, and I told him I didn’t think I should pay for it, he proceeded to put his foot in my door way and argued with me.
He never once apologized for the late food and the only compensation was a couple of free cans of soda in our bag.
The food was blah. Crab Rangoon was sub par and the strips of pork in my pork and broccoli were cut in strips so tiny that it was basically shredded.
We will never be calling here again.
