The place was suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper busy… which I can’t necessarily blame them for because there was a blues game AND a cards game that night. However, the way things were run was super confusing. Our waitress’ sole purpose was to take our orders, then a separate person brought the drinks, and an entirely different crew brought out the food. The whole set up is asking for confusion. So… our food got lost in the mix somewhere and when it finally came EVERYBODY’S order was wrong and they were out of ketchup. The food was alright and the staff was apologetic about everything, but I just don’t see why it had to get that bad.

Food and beer are good, but we had the worst service ever. The waitress had to retake our order because«someone literally ate the paper I had it on,» brought us extra drinks and had to be asked repeatedly to take it off of our bill, and couldn’t remember what beer she had served us when we asked for another round(we were drinking the draft beer she recommended). We tried talking to the manager, but he was more concerned with telling us what he did right. Then the waitress came back and admonished us for telling on her to her boss. I will never eat there again.

We visited the restaurant as part of a baseball trip to St. Louis. We chose the restaurant based on our location, but more importantly the beer choices. They have a lot of choices and you can’t go wrong in trying a few while here. We came on Monday night and they had pint night for $ 3.50 — EXCELLENT! For food, expect the typical fare for a joint like this — burgers/bar food. We had the San Miguel burger and Saucer Bratzel and both were very good. Service was excellent, but the place was a bit empty, so it should be that good! The place has a lot of TV’s and excellent view lines. It is also clean and fun!

Awesome place! This bar has a variety of excellent beer on tap. Food is great(try the turkey melt with potato salad). Hung out with friendly locals and Jill the bartender was so knowledgeable of all the beers and breweries. Can’t wait to go back! Thanks Jill and Brandon for a great time.

Ran over from Busch Stadium during a rain delay. These guys got swamped on a Wednesday afternoon and absolutely took care of everyone. Great beers rotating all the time. Come here if you’re a beer drinker, they’ll take care of you.

Sorry folks, but your service(or total lack thereof) was sufficient for me to walk out. Not impressive.

I love going to St. Louis Cardinals games, but the area around the stadium has been a desert for craft beer lovers. If you don’t like Bud Light, you’re pretty much out of luck. So I was so happy to see the Flying Saucer move in basically right across the street from Busch Stadium. Yeah, it’s a chain, and you can find one in most cities. But … the beer selection is almost unmatched. Dozens of beers on taps and countless bottles from craft breweries all over the world. I’ve been here twice now, and it feels like I’ve found the mirage in that dessert. Is the food good? I don’t know. I’ve only had the fries and the tater tots, both of which were just fine, but how could you mess that up? This is just a great spot to get a great beer, especially before or after a Cardinals game. Take me to your galaxy, Flying Saucer!

This is a great place to drop in for a slightly overpriced beer, but the food is honestly horrific. Every single food item I have ever ordered off the menu has been dreadful. I can’t even put my finger on what is wrong with some of the things they serve, other than that it just tastes like cheap, stale, processed cafeteria food. I have tried sandwiches, wraps, nachos and the like and all have been just terrible. I recommend this venue to anyone looking for an overpriced drink, or anyone looking to ruin a perfectly good meal.

I have not reviewed anything on Unilocal in quite a long time. My recent visit to Flying Saucer has changed this. I have been going to the St. Louis Saucer since the weekend it opened several years ago. When it first opened it was beer Xanadu. So many options of amazing beer, great food, knowledgeable staff… it was perfect. Times have changed. My friend and I went in this past Sunday afternoon expecting to have a few beers and hang out. There wasn’t much of a crowd, but it wasn’t dead either. We looked over the menu and ordered our first beers, «Sorry, we’re out of that.» Fair enough, it happens. We look for a second selection, «Sorry, we’re out of that too.» Okay, now its getting annoying. Our third selection was gone as well. The bartender then offered this gem up, «Yeah, they printed this menu last week knowing that five or six of these beers would be gone within a couple days.» Not only was the menu well out of date, the chalkboard with«new beers» was wrong as well. I tried to order two off of that and was told the same thing. We went through a combined 10 beers that were out. This is inexcusable. You’re a «Draught Emporium». How can you have ten taps down? The tap handles were still screwed onto their respective taps and names still being advertised. We settled on a beer and decided it was time to settle up. I had a $ 5 voucher for drinking my 50th beer(I am a UFO Loyalty Club Member). Trying to use this coupon was insane. It took the server nearly 15 minutes to figure out how to apply it to my tab. Now, to be fair, the server was new, but this still seems a little crazy to me. Bottom line is this, Flying Saucer was once an awesome place to go for ‘Beerknurds’. It has become a shell of its former self. Do yourself a favor and head over to iTap in Soulard.

Great time with friends/co-workers. Lots of beer to choose from and great food. The waitress had suggestions for whatever type of beer we asked for and brought samples to choose from. All of the starters we ordered were great. Pretzels and tots were top notch as was the bottomless queso! We were there for happy hour so beers were cheap. I had Stone IPA drafts for only $ 3.50 each! This was my first time here but I’ll definitely be back!

Nice looking place inside, good for watching games or before/after Cardinals or Blues games. Great selection of beers. We really had fun trying several beers. The server was very cute, friendly gal. I had checked the menu they have on their website prior to arriving and liked several items. When I arrived the menu had several additions and deletions. Really, if you put the menu on your web site, keep it up to date. I ordered the German Plate which I had seen listed on the menu they have online and was on the menu when we visited. I had even seen a picture on Unilocal posted just 2 weeks ago. It looked good! When I ordered the German Plate I verified with the server it would come with«German potato salad» and she assured me it did. The food I received was very disappointing. The 2 brats were very average, served with a rather small portion of sauerkraut, and a ramekin of a very basic potato salad that appeared to be prepackaged, and definitely not German potato salad. It was very poor. I asked the server and she says«oh, I thought that was German potato salad. I really don’t know much about potato salads» and assured me this was they only type they had. The description on the web site of the German Plate included a brats and a sausage, and I didn’t notice they had changed the it on the menu to just 2 brats, but that’s my fault. But the potato salad was poor and the server had no clue. To their defense, the menu didn’t say German but what was served was vastly different than the potato salad pictured on Unilocal just 2 weeks prior and was very blah. Not sure why that was. Also, the brats were barely warm and the flavor was very average to bland. The kraut was room temperature. I love good brats and kraut but I will order something else next time. My son had the Dipster… a french dip sandwich… and it was good but nothing special. We had their Cheese Fries Surprise which was cheese fries with chili underneath… good but nothing special and it had too much grease running around the plate. In summary, don’t go here expecting great food, this place is about the number of beers they serve which is impressive, and some OK pregame food.

Flying Saucer, I’ve been dreaming of you. I left DFW(Dallas — Fort Worth to the uninitiated, home of the Saucer) back in 2014 for rural Virginia. Most unfortunately I was hours away from the closest Flying Saucer. But not a day passed that I didn’t think about you. I visited the Addison location of the Flying Saucer almost every week when I lived in Dallas. I’ve probably been to all the DFW locations. This is especially impressive as I don’t even drink beer, your main attraction. I’ve sang your praises to countless friends, especially the ones in VA who moved to Raleigh and Charlotte to visit their local FS and get some of that crack, I mean delicious beer cheese soup for themselves. So I can’t tell you how excited I was to find that my new home here in STL has a Flying Saucer. Last Thursday I was ecstatic for a HOT, delicious bowl of Beer cheese soup that soaked perfectly into its bread bowl making the WHOLETHING a giant cheese, beer, breadgasm. The locations in TX would always give me an Ala-cart side of 1 perfectly grilled brat to go with my soup as I’m a meatatarian and it was the perfect meal. Every week at lunch I had to mount a defense from would be hijackers(coworkers) who wanted to steal my bread bowl for themselves as everyone knows its the best part. I dream of your soggy cheesy bread bowl left overs. So after years of dreaming of you, I was finally back. Sitting down, enjoying the familiar sights of champion beer nerd saucers adorning the walls. I didn’t bother to look at the menu. I was there, and there for one reason only. Beer Cheese soup, one perfectly grilled bratwurst and nirvana. I was sure you’d have it. But I was wrong. I ordered exactly what I’ve ordered for years. The waitress was a bit confused by the request for an ala cart brat but she scampered off anyway. Later she returned and said her manager wouldn’t let her do order it that way. I said fine, do whatever it takes she said I had to order two brats. I approved, although not without some trepidation as I knew I was only going to eat one. Later the soup arrived and it looked better than I’ve ever seen it. It appeared to be over flowing the bowl. It was beautiful. But it was cold. Additionally, the bread bowl hadn’t been scooped out and there was only a few spoonfuls of soup to be had. Cold soup at that. The brats never arrived and service was poor so we were now running late for the Blues v. Sharks game. My CC stayed at the end of the table for quite some time and another waitress saw it and rang up my bill for me(kudos to unknown waitress #1 who clearly was kicking ass and taking names/CC’s). Nothing that arrived at the table for our party of 3 was prepared well or served at an appropriate temperature. I can’t say that I’m not a bit heart broken about it either.

Great beer pub as long as you don’t order food! Bunch of us stopped over ahead of a blues game, I ordered shepherd’s pie and boy was it horrible; too much salt, there wasn’t a lot of mince either. The waitress also forgot 2 from our groups order, she was very apologetic about it though. Love the name, enjoyed the beers but wouldn’t eat here.

This place is all about the ~*~*~BEER~*~*~. If you’re not a big beer fan, it might not be your place. You’ve been warned. Various rotating taps and numerous bottles, constantly updated. Specials on each day — Mondays are $ 3.50 pint days! All of the servers are wildly helpful and nice. The space is clean and inviting. Some people dislike that it’s not crowded — I say it gives me more space to breathe and enjoy. If you are a big beer person and you live in our fair city, join the Flying Saucer club. After you try 200 different beers with their handy tracking system, you get a permanent piece of art on their walls and a $ 100 bar tab! The food is good, too, for the most part. My favorite is the loaded tots app — decadent. The pork banh mi, however, leaves much to be desired. Not recommended. If you’re nearby for a game(Blues and Cardinals are right there, Rams nearby) or a show, stop in and give it a go.

Not a fan. We give it a try during the winter months because they have a nice dart area, but it’s pretty desolate in there. The servers are usually friendly, but I feel like they are just as bored as the 5 customers there. They do have a great selection of draft beers, but you have plenty of other livelier options.

Probably the best buttery(which usually isn’t my thing) pretzels I’ve ever eaten. I asked that the butter be light and they were beyond my expectations $ 8.29. I got the cream cheese and spicy mustard. My dining companions had the chips and queso $ 6.29. The queso was quite runny and I finished their salsa w/my delicious pretzels. Thank goodness my fiancé ate some of the pretzels w/me b/c I would have polished them off myself… They enjoyed their Founders Breakfast Stout $ 6.00, Boulevard 80 Acre $ 4.75, and Civil Life Common $ 5.00 each. Our server Anissa was attentive and personable.

Pros: lots and lots of beer, the San Miguel burger, and even more beer! Cons: game day crowds can be a bit much. Bottom Line: You’re not there to romance your high school sweetheart. You’re there to drink beer. Make it happen!

We live nearby and I was once a Flying Saucer«regular» in Charlotte, NC. This place didn’t disappoint. Great service and good food. Chicken sandwich is on point. Highly recommend. Real chicken breast, cooked on the grill served with thick bacon and fresh avocado. Excellent! As for beer, never been steered wrong. Fantastic selection! We’ll be back!
