Desk clerk was friendly. Room was cheap. That being said, cheap and old don’t need to mean dirty, the shower was not clean, there seems to be a little poop on the wall next to the toilet, and there is a weird purple substance all over the hair dryer. The walls throughout the room seem like they never get washed. I guess I expected this for the price, and my expectations were met. A poor quality room at a low price. I wonder if all Econo-​Lodge hotels are like this.

Pro and con on this hotel. The pro is central spot to get to places. You get for what you paid for, $ 53 bucks what do you expect for a double tree treatment? The con is the sheet is itchy, shower spot is filthy, and the light bulb in the dresser broke. Mediocre place, decent. I will spend an extra $ 30 bucks to stay at holiday inn next time.

Booked this for a group of high schoolers. If you want clean, go elsewhere. The sheets were stained. The toilets weren’t solidly bolted to the floor. The non-​smoking rooms smelled of cigarettes, and police were in attendance for some reason. Our group could not stay under those conditions and had to find another place. We didn’t expect anything fancy. Just safe and clean. Can’t imagine why anybody would give this place 4 stars!

I don’t know what these other naïve mung-​for-​brains reviewers think they’re entitled to for $ 59 a night, but I found my room to be clean, the service friendly (within their limited means), and everything in working order. If you’re the elitist/​millennial bitch-​and-​moan type, head over to the Chase Park Plaza downtown.

If youre going with family, do NOT get a room here. We rented for two nights and the roof seemed like it was about to fall down, the toilet was flushing, the hotel pool was full of people that seemed like family members of the employees. It was bad! The pictures online isnt what the room looks like.

Oh! Even the budget traveller deserves better than this!!! So much was wrong with this place that it was almost funny, except for the fact that I had to end everyday I stayed in St. Louis sleeping here…
From the greasy looking upholstered chair to the shower curtain that didn’t stay in place because the curtain rod sagged and looked like it was going to fall off the wall (causing major puddles on the not very clean bathroom floor) to GROSS, FILTHY remote controls, the only saving grace was that the front desk was very, very nice.
It was cheap but next time I’ll go elsewhere.
