I have had impeccable service every time! Every cut and color has exceeded my expectations! Seriously the best hair I have ever had in my life! Now 6 of my closet friends all get their hair done there too! And we are not the easiest people to please concerning our hair! thank you so much for all the great work!

I’ve had Katy, one of their stylists, cut my hair for many years. She is very professional and extremely personable, so not only will you have a great haircut, but you’ll also enjoy a lively conversation. She knows what she is doing and you can see that she is passionate about her profession. The place itself has a friendly and pleasant atmosphere and is very inviting. Highly recommended!

Ok– the place looks cute, and I’m new to the area so I gave it a shot. However the stylist had very little experience. I went in for a trim and a root touch up. The color of my roots is now a significantly different red color:(. She did trim my style ok
The main problem was that the other stylist (the owner I think). She and her client were chit chatting and several racist and homophobic things were said. Not ok folks, and I won’t return because of those statements. My stylist was obviously not ok with those statements and could tell that I wasn’t either …

Called salon a few days ago and got in that same day for hair color and cut with stylist named Katie. My hair is very fine and straight. Talked with her about highlights and cut before she started. Very happy with the color of highlights and haircut. Thanks Katie! Will be back to see you in a couple of months.

Great place! A beautiful gem located off Cherokee Street! I walked in and absolutely loved the ambiance and style of the salon. New to the area, I’ve been somewhat on a quest to find that perfect hair salon that you know, just gets me.
I waited for my stylist hoping I wouldn’t put her off with my indecisiveness. But nevertheless she was awesome. Aside from her sweet, patient and social personality, it’s almost like she knew what type of hair cut and style to give me. Or at least she made the most of it but boy did she not disappoint!
I do this all the time: unsure of what I want but carrying a pic of some celebrity with an idea of what I want. I came in and she cut the perfect amount off my long hair, brought some soft warm tones on my dark hair, and the best and more trickiest part is she handled my bangs with such precision and freedom. I loved everything about my hair. She was even kind of enough to pick up a bottle of tea I was craving for (4 months pregnant as well) during the coloring process.
Such a great place! Will definitely come back!

I have been going to Carrie for a little over a year. I love my hair every time. She is very knowledgeable and always listens. Her color and cuts are reasonable in price. I recommended her to a friend and she has also been going to her ever since. –Rebecca

I love the Drew Henry Salon & Gallery! I have been getting my hair done from Erin for about 2 years now, and have been extremely satisfied with the end result each time. It’s a very fun atmosphere, and all the stylists are professional, but relaxed, which makes for an inclusive experience. And the salon doubles as an art gallery, so there is always a changing selection of local art on its walls. This is not one of those salons that push products at you, or up-​sell you on every service. It’s very affordable, and has that cool Cherokee Street vibe, so what can be better than that!

I have never had a haircut that I liked… until yesterday. My hair had gotten long and my curls started to straighten under the weight. Carrie worked her magic and now I love my curls again! She is also very easy to talk to, and I immediately felt like I was in good hands while she worked on my first short haircut. To put the icing on the cake, she also uses products that are made of mostly natural ingredients. I highly recommend Carrie and Drew Henry Salon!

Katy did a fantastic job with my cut, color, and curls. She is very knowledgeable and was able to turn my brassy split ends into golden healthy hair. I love it!

Katy did a great job with my haircut. I followed her from her previous salon and she really knows how to cut men’s hair. She listens to what you want and has good advice for a great look. So glad I found her again.

Carrie does magic with my hair and is amazing! I have tight, curly (corkscrew) hair and have been to many Deva and non Deva stylists, but she is by far the best! She is very warm and friendly and goes out of her way to please. You will not be disappointed!

Never a bad experience at Drew Henry. CARRIE IS AMAZING. I have curly hair and she is the first and only stylist I ever trust with my crazy curls.
Atmosphere is great, love coming in and seeing new art on the walls and the shops near buy are also great to visit with my new fresh doo.

I lived in Columbia, MO for six years and had the same hair stylist so I was nervous to try a new place. I found this salon by searching high rated places on Unilocal.The only downside was that when I made my appointment I told the receptionist that I usually get either a partial or full high light but can never remember. There must have been a miscommunication because I was put down for a full color. The girl I met with was Erin and she informed me of the error, which was definitely not her fault, but she informed me that she wouldn’t necessarily have the time to take me as light l as I wanted to go. She gave me the option of trying her suggestion of getting some highlights in the front or rescheduling for a future date so we would have enough time. I ended up trusting her expertise and I am so glad I did because my hair looks amazing! She did take her time cutting it and only cut off what was necessary to get the dead ends off. The color is great. She was also easy to talk to. I will definitely be going back!

Carrie is amazing! She gave me a great pixie cut for my curly hair. She was very quick and efficient, and funny as well!

I don’t think this place deserves such a high rating on Unilocal.I went here once and decided to never come back. They charge relatively good prices for their services, but you do get what you pay for.
When I got there, I found one of the hair stylist chatting it up with the guests in the waiting area. That was fine, but I wasn’t really greeted the way that I expected. They just told me my hairstylist will be done in a bit. Turns out a bit was 30 minutes. I was irritated, but I just wanted to get my hair done.
I scheduled an appointment with someone that was available. Big mistake. You have no idea who you will get. I’m not going to say her name, but besides making me wait 30 minutes, a few minutes into talking to her, I could tell that she was not very experienced. She was very nice, but that doesn’t compensate for experience.
While I was okay with the hair cut, I was very unhappy with the highlights she gave me. I gave her a picture and she could not replicate it. She placed one of the highlights right under the part in my hair so the highlights didn’t really show and they were not done all the way to my roots. After I was done, I looked like I got my hair done at least a month ago. I was not happy, but I was not going to complain about it because I didn’t want her to try to fix it. I had already wasted enough time there.
If you are willing to take the chance because of the cheaper prices, I hope your experience comes out better than mine.

After returning to Drew Henry for a few more hair appointments I still have to keep the review at a 5 star because they deserve it!
I have been scheduling with Dani every 6 to 8 weeks for a trim and she continues to do a great job. My hair is easy and all that, but I want to keep growing it out so she is helping me to keep it healthy. My favorite part is when she takes me to the hair washing station; I love getting my hair washed by someone else-​so relaxing!
All of the girls at Drew Henry are fun to talk with and they all have great personalities; I’m glad I get to chat with them when I go. We always find something to chat about and it’s just a good time; I can tell they all really love what they do. Dani showed me a new way to style my hair which I am able to do on my own.; how cool is that!!!
Whenever I go to pay for my haircut Dani reminds me to use my Unilocal check-​in (it’s still $ 5 off). What a champ!

I am fairly new to the Benton Park area and the Drew Henry salon was recommended to me. However I was never able to actually talk to a LIVE person. No one ever answered the phone! Oh well, I am sure there are plenty of places that DO want my business.

This is a review update. Carrie cut my waist-​long-​hair all away down to a pixie cut, and it looks phenomenal!
I also hired her to do my makeup and hair for a photo shoot, and she knocked that out of the park too.
The secret has been getting out about this salon, so you may have to book a little in advance, but it is so worth it!

I’m pretty cheap, so paying more than $ 17 for a haircut sends me into a bit of a panic. I’ve always been a great clips/​fantastic sam’s kind of girl. I’d say I leave the salon happy probably 80% of the time and that’s just fine with me. Hair grows back.
However, I felt like splurging and was interested in taking a risk by dyeing my hair as well. This wasn’t something I was comfortable doing myself, so I figure I’d finally go to a «big girl salon» and take the plunge.
When I called to set up my appointment, they were very nice and accommodating on the phone. I was able to get a late-​ish appointment with Erin, around 6:30.
Once I arrived, I was able to sit in their hip waiting area and peruse some of the art on the walls. The building is really cool and it didn’t feel pretentious like I assumed it would.
Erin walked me through the book of hair color and with her guidance, I decided on one that I truly, truly loved. It was such a dramatic change for me, but it totally worked. The haircut I got was also exactly what I wanted.
The only downside is that it’s pricey to cut and color hair! That’s not anyone’s fault, so I didn’t deduct any stars, but sadly, it’s why I haven’t been back in almost 6 months. The prices were decent for what I got, but it’s still a bit more than I can afford on a regular basis, so it’ll have to be a special occasion when I see her again.
I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking to find a new salon, or try one out for the first time, as it might be. :-)
