I had a problem with squirrels in my attic back in January. When the initial meeting happened, the company seemed reasonable to deal with, and we agreed on a course of action. On the advice of the Critter Control employee, I signed up for the per squirrel fee, instead of the flat fee. That was a mistake, the employee underestimated the number of squirrels, and I lost big time. Admittedly I should have known better, but I’m not the expert. Then they skipped out for 3 days despite my calls that squirrels were in the traps on my roof, as I listened to them die one by one in the traps. This past weekend, I noticed that there were three dead squirrels floating in my lawn waste trash can, which had been full of water during the winter. They let the squirrels die in the traps, and then threw them under water in my trash can. They floated up yesterday, needless to say the smell was terrible, and I have to wait until wednesday to get rid of them. While they did do the job, I certainly wasn’t paying 79 dollars a squirrel to chuck them in my trash can. If you must use critter control, know to take the flat fee unless you know for a fact how many animals you have, as they will steer you to what makes them more money.
