***This shop located in the St. Louis airport is a decent shop because you get a good mix of items for in-​flight (snacks, drinks, magazines) as well as several St. Louis novelties – from magnets and other touristy souvenirs to St. Louis Cardinals items (their magnets were a tad pricey though)***
I am not sure what the parking situation is, but I imagine it is expensive here (like other airports).

It’s an airport gift shop/​newspaper stand. I never have very high expectations for these places. The prices are pretty standard, the selection of souvenirs varies based on what city you are in.
What makes a difference between one airport store or another is customer service. The gal behind the counter was very nice and polite.

El Cerrito, CA
I know it seems silly to review a news/​gift shop but I was impressed. They had the standard array of magazines, t-​shirts, shot glasses and pharmaceuticals, and of course books. What was impressive was that the clerk pointed out their «Read & Return» policy – buy a book and return it to any Paradies Shop within 6 months with receipt for a 50% refund! No Oakland location but they are at SFO, as well as about 50 other airports.
