What is it that makes me come back, you ask? First, I used to frequent a certain CBW location while in college so visiting CBW gives me a nice, warm feeling of days gone(minus the stress of thinking about finals)! Second, they have a great selection of healthier fares that are fresh and quick. Perfect for when you are on the go or don’t want to linger! And last but not least, if you actually care about how much calories you are taking in during a meal, you can easily find it on their website. I love their high protein bowl and will usually get it with double the chicken and either some regular teriyaki or spicy teriyaki. The spicy teriyaki sauce tastes more like regular teriyaki sauce so I am not sure what the difference is. If you are looking for«real» spicy though, this would not be it, so don’t get your hopes up. Back in the day, I used to get their stir-fry bowl and still with teriyaki sauce. It was always so filling! As far as I know, this is the closest location to my residence. The service has always been great, except for one particular person who works here and acts like the world might be coming to an end anytime soon. She was at the counter one evening while I was getting a to-go meal. No smiles, no greetings… she just stood there and punched in the order on her keypad, took my money, and said nothing. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. I saw her in there another time, however, and she brought my bowl to the table with the same gloomy expression on her face, no words being exchanged after I thanked her. Thankfully, the rest of the staff make up for her unenthusiastic take on life!

First time customers. Friendly service from Sean 12÷1÷155:03pm. We had 2 small chicken breast bowls with veggies, noodles, one with Thai and other with regular Teriyaki. The star of the meal however was the side of Quinoa Falafel which was warm, crunchy and delicious. All the food tasted fresh and is a welcome alternative to fast food. Hard to get to parking lot during rush hour due to traffic if you are on the opposite side of Manchester Rd.

This is a fast-casual place, so you order at the counter and they bring it to you… but that’s about the extent of the service. We go here a lot because it’s quick and they offer a lot of tasty and healthy options.

I didn’t expect much, as I’ve had my share of disappointments lately, but I really liked it. I generally like healthy food(veggies, chicken, quinoa, etc.), and CBW had all that I like and in sufficient quantities.

Crazy Bowls and Wraps is «where healthy and tasty meet» in Missouri, Illinois, and California. It’s true that you can get something healthy here, but if you aren’t careful, the calories can add up quickly. Fortunately, you can calculate your meal’s nutritional content on their website. Unfortunately, they do not have nutritional data for every single menu item. MENU CBW offers bowls, wraps, and salads in internationally inspired flavors(e.g., Asian, Mediterranean, and Mexican). For example, you can order a Thai wrap, a basil pesto bowl, or a tostada salad. Bowls come in two sizes(small or regular). Wraps and salads come in one size. I believe all salads are served in the regular-sized bowl. Everything is customizable to some extent. All bowls, wraps, and salads come with your choice of protein. Bowls and wraps also come with your choice of a grain. If you choose the create-your-own-bowl, you’ll get to pick your own vegetable and sauce options in addition to the protein and grain of your choice. Beverages include whole-leaf organic teas and Coke products. TASTE I have to admit I wasn’t incredibly impressed with this place when I first visited them more than five years ago. I do not recall exactly what I ordered. I believe it was a to-go High Protein bowl that came with vegetables and two proteins of your choice. That has to be the most boring thing on the menu, but it’s probably also one of the healthiest options. Yesterday, I decided to give them another go. This time, I chose to dine in. I ordered the small create-your-own-bowl with wheat noodles, grilled organic GMO-free tofu, steamed veggies, and HFCS-free spicy teriyaki sauce. This was so much better than the bowl I ordered years ago. I am, after all, a carb-lover, and I really enjoyed the noodles on this visit. The veggies included kale, cabbage, broccoli, zucchini, carrot, edamame, and red/orange bell pepper. Both the noodles and veggies were cooked al dente.(I typically prefer both to be slightly overcooked.) I received a generous portion of tofu, cut into flat, rectangular slices. However, even with the spicy teriyaki sauce, my bowl was not particularly flavorful. It was good, but I did not detect any spiciness at all. That being said, they had a flavor bar next to the soda fountain. Flavor options included salsas, buffalo sauce, sriracha sauce, and soy sauce. Now that I know what my bowl tastes like as it is served, I might experiment with the flavor bar on my next visit. I was so relieved that they serve Coke products here. I don’t know about you, but I have found that Diet Coke can taste very different from place to place. I am happy to report that it was quite good here. SERVICEANDATMOSPHERE This location has a drive-thru and an interior dining room. Inside, you’ll order and pay at the counter. You’ll receive a number, and your food will be brought to your table when it is ready. When you are finished, you’ll clear your own table. Toss your trash into the trash can, and put your non-disposable bowl and utensils in the adjacent container.(Yes, I had a real bowl and fork here!) I did not see a napkin dispenser in the dining area, but two napkins were brought to my table with my food. I imagine you might have to ask for extras if you need them. The dining area looked neat and clean, and they were playing ‘90s, or maybe ‘80s/‘90s, music.(Everybody dance now!) The employee who took my order also was the one who brought it to my table. He was very friendly and helpful to me, as I was essentially a first-timer. OVERALL I enjoyed my CBW visit, and I will definitely return – perhaps today! My bowl could have used more flavor, but with a flavor bar and plenty of other menu items, I think I’m set. Although the calories can get out of hand if you aren’t careful, the nutritional information on their website can help you choose a meal that’s right for you. This is fast food that you can feel good about eating. Or, you can just order whatever your want. #YOLO :P My first experience might not have been stellar, but I wish I hadn’t waited more than five years to return. I’ve been missing out!

I’ve been frequenting this location for many years. It’s right near my house. And when I want healthy food quick… this is my to go spot. But I can’t do not do it any longer. I’ve been experimenting between large bowls and small bowls with chicken and vegetables. And it seems like the vegetable and chicken portion keeps getting smaller. There seems to be no difference between large or small bowls as far as the amount of veggies and chicken. In other words, it’s just a big bowl of rice with a sprinkling of vegetables and a couple slices of chicken on top. My small bowl today consisted of one carrot slice, a couple pieces of broccoli, one piece of purple cabbage, several slices of green cabbage, and four thin slices of chicken. Not much there for $ 6.50. I am NOT a large eater either… But I feel like almost $ 7 for a bowl of rice is quite expensive. My last four meals there have been exactly the same experience.

Just ate there earlier today. Not gonna waste money here again. Hype, hype, hype is what this place is about. If healthy is bland, and savory equals a dry chew toy… this is the place I guess. Had a dry wrap that was explained as savory and sauce filled with fresh fresh veggies and brown rice… LIE! Had a cheese quesadilla, wow, found a way to screw that one up too! Even tried a neat sounding Black Bean and Green Chile Egg Roll,… I think the things my cat leaves in her litter box might be juicier and more tasty,… I know they sure smell better at least. The best part of the experience was a properly brixed soda fountain station at least. Definitely not worth the hype or the price. Never even gonna bother to try this place again.

U This is the best place to go for healthy, tasty food. Protein Bowl with chicken and jalapeño sauce is the best. All kinds of vegetarian options too. Big portions of good, healthy food. You will see a lot of fit, healthy people in here, and there is little doubt that the food is very good for you. Now if you just had a heavy, fatty meal, and you feel guilty about that, go here. You can be redeem yourself and still enjoy your meal. Cheers.

I had never been to a CBW prior to last night. Got the sweet and sour chicken bowl with white rice and I was very impressed with the flavor and crunchy chicken. Delicious. Service was good, portions were great, and it was all quick.

Crazy bowls and wraps is not a high class Resteraunt so I’m not sure why others have had such high expectations for such a casual place. It’s healthier then most options so it can be pricey but, they give a healthy portion. The options are endless so only boring people have boring food. You have to expand your horizons to have good food here. Be healthy be open minded.

Great place to get a flavorful wrap. Chicken Caesar with quinoa and dark meat. Free all you can eat hummus for the chips. Why are people bitching about this place? It’s delicious. If you want something better, go to a restaurant that doesn’t cost $ 6 for a plate. I can’t stand that. This is cheap, can be healthy, fast as hell and friendly service. I’ve been going to this location for six years and have never had a bad experience.

I really love Crazy Bowls and Wraps but after visiting this location — I wish I would have just hit up the Wendy’s across the street… I built my own bowl of white meat chicken, brown rice, veggies, and terriyaki… The guy at the counter didn’t say anything to me at all took my order and that was that… My food was swimming in the sauce — too much and my chicken meat was questionable… Also there was a worker just a sweeping all around my table for probably 20 minutes right at lunch time and I found this very annoying… I was going to just toss some shit on the floor for her to sweep as I couldn’t figure out what he was sweeping for so long and right around the people not in a non-busy part of the establishment… I will avoid this particular location from here on out…

WTF Crazy Bowls?! I always liked you, so how could you betray me like this?! The drive through is a great idea, but I swear we sat at the window for 10 minutes while the 8 employees inside an almost empty restaurant tried to make 3 wraps. Most of them(including the manager) were just standing around chit-chatting, so I’m not sure what was going on there. The real travesty here was the food though. Each of the 3 wraps was flavorless & overly stuffed with rice. The chicken and seasoning was nearly undetectable on 2 of the wraps(buffalo chicken, my ass), and I could hardly taste the feta in my veggie wrap(which was pretty much just lettuce & rice). The chips tasted pretty stale & cardboard-y. I’ve been to CBW before(different location) & think the bowls are fairly good, so I guess I’ll just stick to that location & skip the wraps going forward.

All I have to say is — DRIVETHRUCRAZYBOWLS! Before coming here — I had never seen one with a drive-thru. It was actually faster than doing carry out inside the one on Lindell by my office. One minor issue — half the chips were chewy… like… bendable. I really don’t think that’s how chips are supposed to be — correct me if I’m wrong… Ha-ha.

I used to like this place. But then they started to put a moth thorax in every order and didn’t list that feature on the menu. Not cool and not appetizing.

i guess I should review Crazy Bowls since I eat here so often… I am the Duchess after all. I rarely go inside this Crazy Bowls. It’s my go-to place for lunch with a drive thru. It’s about 5 minutes down Manchester from my office… and I drive by a few other drive thrus and a bunch of other go-inside places to get there. I think the menu is great. They have wraps, rice bowls, salads and a few pasta bowls. I also really like that they revamped the menu a few years ago and now the entrees don’t come with a specific protein — you can choose chicken(white or dark), salmon, beef, or tofu… maybe more options… but I almost always get chicken so I’m not sure. You also get to pick between quinoa, white or brown rice for everything. I wouldn’t do quinoa in the wraps, it tends to get messy. Stick with the brown rice. My favorite item is not on the drive thru menu but every time I’ve asked they’ve had it. I saw it on a sign as a new salad when I was inside the Clayton location this summer. It’s the multi-grain salad. It’s got quinoa, brown rice, chickpeas, avocado, greens, some other stuff I can’t remember and a great dressing. I usually get it without protein, but have added salmon on top when I’m really hungry. I also LOVE the pesto wrap with brown rice and dark meat chicken, but this is one of the highest calorie items on the menu according to the website… so I try not to get it very often. Other favorites are the BBQ wrap with chicken and the zesty bean soup bowl with chicken. The wraps and salads also come with salt covered tortilla chips. If I had a complaint, it would be that sometimes they aren’t salty enough, sometimes they are perfect. And there is a salsa bar inside which includes hummus. I’m assuming you could ask for it to go through the drive thru too but I’ve never tried. Oh, and for a drive through, they are super fast but give you fresh food. And while it technically is a chain as they have a bunch of locations, it’s a local chain. I like that.

Food poisoning. Give me that one time and I will never forget. How can you forget a whole night feeling horrible with«severe gastric distress symptoms» a gentleman cannot discuss? I should have known better. The chicken actually smelled a little rotten and i ate it anyway. So one star for this particular Crazy Bowls & Wraps. Not to mention the chicken bowl was bland and nothing to write home about. Nasty. Which reminds me of the old joke: «How was the restaurant?» «Awful! The food tasted like garbage and the portions were too small!»

Another tasty fast food option! I love the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap. It’s perfect and extremely filling! It comes with tasty tortilla chips. If you go inside the restaurant, they have a flavor bar where you can get salsa or hummus to go with the chips(although the chips are pretty tasty on their own).
