The service is great and the food is awesome. They have some of the best burgers I’ve had. We enjoy going here with our family.

Nice friendly place with freshly made food! This is a neat little family owned restaurant. We went there to try out the fried chicken everyone on here was raving about but unfortunately they serve it only on Wednesday and Saturday. So that being said we had a nice dinner. We tried the beer battered shrimp and steak and cheese. Both were good, served fresh and hot. They do have nightly specials but we didn’t see the table sign until after we ate. Tonight was meatloaf and sounded great. Service was great! The owner stopped by our table to check on us and offered fresh made desserts from the case. They looked delicious! Overall we were very happy we made a trip to St Jacob to try something new. We will definitely be back!(probably on a Wednesday or Saturday) Came back on a Wednesday and the fried chicken was as wonderful as it was reputed to be!

My boyfriend and I ate here at about 5:30pm on a Friday night, great food and great service! We had the toasted mushroom and cheese ravioli, the Farmer Ray burger and the Pony Shoe burger. Everything was excellent. The burgers(we had them done medium) were juicy, flavorful and freshly patted. We also bought blueberry cheesecake and homemade peanut butter pie home for later! The service was fantastic. The owner, Ray, walked around and checked on his customers to make sure everything came out and was tasty. The waitress(I forget her name) was very attentive and friendly. Very homey and friendly feel to the place, would absolutely recommend to anyone.

The food is homemade! Pizza is outstanding, love the crust and the sauce. Everything we have had on the menu is very tasty. Service is good and the place is spotless! Great change from the old place(Dew Drop) that was there for sure!

Went again on a beautiful breezy Sunday 8−23−15 and had to again get the steak and cheese. It truly is very good. Dont need anything else but that. Added a nice side Caesar salad to my lunch. Will get both again and again. Also would like to say it’s not always just about the food. Owner is very sweet man working place to himself as the«waitress», bar tender, hostess etc. Very friendly to everyone who comes even those getting busy with the $ 1 long neck Stags(um who new they made that?). Also saw how he didn’t think twice about a young teen use the bathroom and gave him water on his way to wherever down the long country road on his bike. That counts a lot in my book. For that alone they deserve your business for drinking nights.

This was our first time to the lucky rooster. We were intrigued by the Portuguese sausage pizza. It did not disappoint! Cooked to perfection, the goat cheese added a little tang, and the garlic butter was salty and delicious. Not too salty, just enough to bring out all the other flavors. The California panini was OK, but the artichokes were a little flat. I’m not faulting then for this. Artichokes need a little help sometimes. Good beer selection, and the owner was super nice and accommodating. Will definitely be back.

First I will say that the Lucky Rooster is a cute very clean place to eat. However, we were very disappointed in our meal. I had the fried shrimp. They do them from scratch. One of my shrimp was almost raw. My husband ordered the glazed salmon which was supposed to have Jack Daniels glaze on it. The salmon was over cooked and dry with no glaze. Maybe we should have tried something simpler or maybe they were just having an off night but we won’t go back.

This is, by far, the best pizza I have ever had. The dough is homemade and the toppings are fresh and different. The Portuguese and goat cheese is my favorite. The kale soup is a must try too! The owners are absolutely wonderful, always stopping by the table to see how things are going. It’s a grandma and grandpa cooking and mom and pop in front. You can’t beat the service or atmosphere. I is quickly becoming one of my favorites!

Stopped here for lunch and it has just opened under new ownership. The place was very clean and seemed more like a place to eat rather than drink which we were okay with. We ended up having the lunch special which was a bowl of chili and a roasted turkey with Swiss on toasted rye bread. First off the chili was really good like your grandma would make and the sandwich was really good as well. Everything seemed fresh and cooked to order and it was really priced right at $ 6.99. This was the first time we stopped by and we will for sure be back

Brand new! Homemade from scratch soups and salads with very reasonable prices and a cheerful diner vibe. The family-run operation has grandma and grandpa in the kitchen and mom and pop in the front of the house. A full bar with unique local craft beers on tap and fast friendly service. Excellent freshly brewed iced tea in nice NEW glasses was a great start. My chopped salad was fresh cold and crisp exactly the way I like it, and my husbands burger was absolutely OUTSTANDING. It’s a loud place but it’s sparking clean and filled with happy people and friendly service and is definitely a good place to drop in and have a great burger and a beer or a full meal after 4PM.
