Broadway Bar & Grill

Very friendly service! Their credit card machine was down but they made sure we knew that before we ordered. Had a Phili cheese steak and it was great. The burger my boyfriend had looked amazing as well. I am sure we will visit again the menu was large with lots of good sounding stuff to try.

I’ve ate here around 40 times for lunch with coworkers. The food is average at best, but it seems like every week the prices go up. I quit going when I would have to spend 13 dollars with tip for a normal lunch. It’s always really cold in the winter, not sure if they like to use the heater. They also take no criticism there. The customer is always wrong and the workers are always right.

While visiting family in Illinois, we all went out to dinner at Broadway Bar & Grille. Our party of 15 was seated right away.
Our dinners were cooked to perfection. It couldn’t have been any better. Everything was so fresh and tasted wonderful!
Our waitress was great, making sure everyone had everything they needed.
Next time we visit, we will definitely eat here again.
If you’re looking for a nice clean place to eat with great food, great service and friendly atmosphere, this is the place to come!

pleasantly surprised with my ribeye

This place is hit or miss. Our shrimp was freezer burned. The prime rib sandwich was mostly fat… Not meat. They also use cheap ketchup. We’ve eaten here several times and you just never know if the food is going to be good or bad. I would love to give this place 5 stars. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because the chicken tenders were delicious.

Once again the food badly disappoints. Avoid like the plague. I’ve given up as apparently the little girls they hire aren’t mature enough not to take a bad review personally. Maybe if the cooks gave a shit the food wouldn’t suck or maybe if the owner hired competent help and showed up once in a while to see how poorly this restaurant is being managed. Go to 9^th Street Café instead – at least there they read the tickets and don’t serve things one is allergic to AFTER they have been told about the allergy. I give up on this place – the food used to be OK but the entire staff needs to be replaced with competent help. They are so wildly inconsistent here that you never know what you’re going to get and the bartenders and cooks are just totally incompetent. I used to eat here 3 – 4 times a week a couple of years ago and I’ve written 8 reviews, but this is the last one. The place totally sucks and there are too many other places close to it that are so much better that there’s no reason to come here at all unless you like bad food and PMS-​ing barmaids who think they’re the queens of the universe and you should just put up with their incompetence.

This must be the most popular place in Highland! We went there on the way to a local play, because it was close and we wanted a casual atmosphere. It was hopping on a Saturday night, but the service was still good and the beer was cold.
At our table, people enjoyed the buffalo chicken sandwich, toasted ravioli, potato skins, philly cheese steak, chicken tenders and a regular burger. All received a big thumbs up, except the tenders, which had way to much breading and the sauce was not very good — in fact, they went uneaten and not packed to go.
The place was very loud — no music, just a whole lot of people packed in and talking extremely loud. There were kids there, but it wasn’t really a kids place.
All in all, it was a typical bar experience, which isn’t a bad thing!
