This review is simply based on the customer service over the phone. Food might be great according to other reviews. Anyways I have never called or been to this place so I was asking questions and the man on the phone who answered seemed irritated and frustrated to answer my two questions. I work in a customer service business and we know that being rude to customers is something you don’t do, ever! Management needs to hire people that can deliver a good customer experience thoroughly, or build up employees in their less suited areas of work.

Excellent home made pizza. If you want a boutique style pizza with froofy ingredients, this is not the pizza you’re looking for. This place makes their dough fresh everyday, hand rolled and hand tossed. Fresh ingredients that makes for a very tasty pizza with thin, or thick crust. I highly recommend this place.

Seriously, my favorite pizza place. I have been to others in the area that were a bit more expensive a bit more«uppity» but if you’re looking for some GOOD pizza, where the cheese just drips off the slice, no crazy ingredients, not overly salted, this is your place. I go here all the time and it is consistently good. Definitely recommend it.

I appreciate that there’s an affordable place to eat in this tourist town! The pizza is nothing special, but the lunch slices are cheap(slice of cheese or pepperoni for like $ 2.50). My favorite is the pizza with jalapeños, bacon, and pineapple. It sounds crazy but it’s delicious! And the customer service has always been great. Friendly staff.

Serving up two dollar pepperoni pizza slices, this is a little pizza place that’s definitely worthwhile to all who come there. Good for fueling up before going to somewhere like Crane Park.

That Pizza Place is really mediocre. The first time I went was over the weekend, and I just wanted a slice of pizza. They told me they only serve slices on weekdays. Then I went on a weekday, and they told me they’ve only got cheese and pepperoni, which I’m beyond tired of, having grown up in a largely Italian village in New York. So, finally having gone today, I decided to order a small artichoke and tomato pie. It came out hot, but that must’ve been easy for them; the place was empty. Then again, it was empty the last times I went too… And the pizza was okay, though I could tell the oven wasn’t hot enough because of all the air bubbles on the crust. So, for what some have called the best pizza place in town, there’s Pizzeria Tra Vigne very close-by, and it’s oh so much better. And there’s almost no price difference, and the customer service and décor are better at Tra Vigne too. Why return to That Pizza Place? Coming from New York, I can tell you: ignore the other reviewers that this is East Coast-style at all; the crust is too thick and gummy for any pizzeria from New Jersey to Montréal. Tra Vigne is more Italian-style, and nevertheless, way better. PS, I’m rating ‘Not Sure’ for the attire: there was nobody there for me to judge. But based on the poor-school cafeteria décor, they probably serve the half-dressed.

When you just can’t stomach(or afford) another slice of Organic Gluten Free Seared Pork Belly and Wilted Arugula pizza, this is your place. Serving up good old fashioned two-buck slices to those of us who sling the other stuff to tourists for a living, That Pizza Place offers the finest paper plates, stunning views of the ass-end of a gas station, and convenient access to the coin-op laundromat next door. The owners are friendly, the dough is fresh, and if you order olives they are black and come from a can, just as God intended. Take-n-bake is a nice option if you have wee ones at home, sad, lonely and hungry because mom and dad are late again after a ten-hour shift smiling patiently at tipsy tourists who still think it’s hilarious to drunkenly slur the the«f — -ing merlot» line from the movie Sideways between selfies. I might also add that everything on the menu pairs nicely with that open bottle of $ 150 single-vineyard Cab Sauv that can’t be saved for the next day’s tasting and your boss kindly lets you take home with you. I’d give it 5 stars but hell, it’s street pizza. Check it out, you’ll like it.

Got pizza for dinner tonight with my husband and three year old daughter the customer service was horrible when we walked in the workers were playing cards and eating chips and watching a tv show about gangs and drugs not suitable for children. The workers were very rude and lazy if I was the owner I would not be happy I will be going to la prima from now on

I live nearby but had not been in a few years, last night picked up a pizza just before closing and have to say it was much better than I remembered or expected. Great crust, traditional sauce and lots of toppings, I asked for it well done and it was cooked perfectly. If you are in St Helena and feel like picking up an East Coast style pie, That Pizza Place is your place!

This is the better choice for pizza in town. The other options are either over priced or not that tasty. Here you can get two pizzas for the price of one at the other joint, and they are very good. I have only had togo orders but each time it’s been quick and easy.

If you’re looking for great pizza, friendly staff and great service, look no further. This pizza place caters to the locals of St. Helena with fresh, delicious pizzas. What really sealed the deal and made me a loyal customer for life was when they got my order wrong and had the wrong pizza waiting for me at the counter. I was ready to accept and pay for the pizza, but the owner insisted on giving it to me for free. I’m about to sound old, but you don’t see service like that very often anymore!

On the way back home from a friends wedding in the area we were starving! So we came upon That Pizza Place and I am so happy we did! The owner was really friendly and happy to make from scratch our pizza with our requests of «half olives on the this side, half pepperoni on that side, etc.» The pizza was great! A lovely crust with toppings galore with just the right amount of sauce. In a word it was yummy! Its a super casual neighborhood pizza place that caters to the locals, as I am sure its their best kept secret! If you are from out of town like we were and want a homemade pizza go to That Pizza Place… your tummy will thank you!

As far as pizza is concerned, I am biased being from NY… despite my bias That Pizza Place does a pretty decent job. Sauce, cheese and price was good(only $ 2.00 for pepperoni slice). The only real gripe was the crust was doughier than I like/accustom to, but it was ok. Bottom line, if you want a slice in/around St. Helena… That Pizza Place is the place to go. –also – this pizza was WAY tastier than Pizzeria Tra Vigne… No comparison between the two.

Not a bad little spot! The pizza is nothing special, the crust is nothing special, the sauce is nothing special, but it is tasty. For lunch, you can get two pieces of pizza and a soda for $ 5 bucks. I’m not sure I can say that about any place else in St Helena. Everything up here is so pricey. They have a small eat in area or will pack it for you to take with. Nice folks. We come here all the time.

Nice and fresh ingredients Very good pizza. They need to fix the washroom tho and it was very hot in there probably from the oven going. In summary, a good place to take pizza to go!
