750 Wines

On October 24, 2014 I entered the store for a specific purpose, I.e. Purchase of 6 bottles of wine. I had checked the stores on-​line inventory and my selections were available. Upon entering I observed preparation for a group tasting. I commented I would return on Saturday. At that point I was told the weekend was booked with tastings. This is a retail store that should be able to accommodate tasters and purchasers. Since customers have choices, my choice is to shop elsewhere. Sorry 750. Good inventory but no customer service.

We met Monica and David at least seven years ago. They have an amazing palate and are able to match what you like with the perfect wine. We have been introduced to numerous small wineries through them and what they offer from their collection is always carefully chosen and spot on. We feel lucky to have been introduced to them and always have a wonderful Napa experience with their help. The shop has a cool loft vibe and is great place to do a tasting and then have them ship the lovely selections home.

Monica was super nice. My husband and I were on our way out of town and we wanted a place to go get bottles that you can’t get anywhere else. We were told to come to 750 Wine by a local. We were not expecting what we walked in to. This is a special place to come to taste the local wines that are not the big vineyards in the area. 750 Wine is beautiful. It has amazing local art and a huge wall display of some of the wines they sell. We wet not aware that this was a wine tasting kind of place. Monica was great and very accommodating. She was expecting a group coming in for a tasting and she was more than happy to pour 5 glasses for each of us. Monica really listened to what you like so that she can help you find what you like. We loved everything she served us so we bought 6 bottles. 750 wine will be our first stop the next time we come into town.

While 750 Wines was all booked up by the time we tried to make a reservation (be sure to call early!), the recommendations Monica gave us for wineries were absolutely unbelievable — what amazing, intimate experiences with delicious, memorable wines! A true 5-​star experience! Monica and David are simply amazing and their passion for wine is contagious. They are truly skilled about listening to what you like and putting the right wines in front of you to experience. We were thrilled to try some new wines from some producers that we were unfamiliar with. Loved the tasting room space, enjoyed some phenomenal wines and can’t wait to visit again.

It’s hard to imagine giving 750 Wines anything less than 5 stars. 750 Wines owners Monica and David Stevens are inviting, knowledgeable, warm hosts that make the exploration of wines very interesting and fun. If you are serious about wine and are interested in connecting with the vineyard, winery, and people behind it, then call 750 Wines and make an appointment. Be sure to ask for directions — although 750 Wines is right by all the action in St. Helena, it’s somewhat hidden on the quiet and peaceful side down an alley. It’s the perfect way to escape the hustle and bustle of the more touristy main street. I highly recommend this place.

David and Monica are so expert they are instantly your best resource for boutique wines in Napa. A wonderful, private appointment only experience leaves you marveling at their expertise and connections. Like having your own private wine sommeliers and buying counselors on call ²⁴⁄₇. They are accommodating to a fault and never mind spending as much time as it takes to lead you to wineries you may have never heard of or, at least, would never be able to visit on your own. They are gems.

An absolute must for anyone visiting wine country. David and Monica will introduce you to hard to find gems.
The tasting experience is unlike any other. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing and the wines are a revelation. Have been there 5 – 6 times and each time has been great. In terms of enjoyment and uniqueness of experience would have to rate it at the very top.

750 Wines is a fun, modern and amazing experience in St. Helena. Owners David and Monica Stevens put a fun twist on the run of the mill wine tasting experience. With dozens if not a hundred different winemakers products on their shelf, there is definitely something for everyone.
Call ahead and schedule your appointment with them and they will ask you some questions to put the right kind of vino infront of you when you arrive. David and Monica are made for this. They have hand-​selected some of the best wine from around the region.
Their facility is extremely fun too. Clean, modern and funky, and they sure know how to show their customers a good time. This is a great way to switch things up in your day of wine tasting in the valley. With many great restaurants in the area such as Cindy’s Backstreet Kitchen, Cook, AKA Bistro and Gott’s Roadside Gourmet, you can grab a great lunch before or after your visit to 750 Wines.

750 is a cool wine shop in a semi hidden location with lovely owners. It’s like hanging out in the modern loft apartment that I always wanted and that just happens to be extremely well stocked! Monica and David selected some great bottles for my friends and I to taste and introduced us to some producers that we were unfamiliar with. They have a range of wines for all tastes and the prices go from 20’s per bottle to serious collectors items. Maybe it was their sparkling repartee or maybe it was the haze of the four previous tastings but I left there with a warm feeling and a tasty bottle of bubbly in hand! All joking aside, make an appointment on your next wine country trip and you are in for a very nice time and some great wines.
