Great little place in the heart of Downtown Saint Cloud. Went there on a Saturday morning to check it out. Had some freshly baked croissant and it was delicious. You need to try their rainbow cookies. Service was really good and the person was nice and courteous.

I typically will go to Starbucks or other coffee shops for meetings with my clients. My client lived in St. Cloud, so I decided to try somewhere close to her. :) I walked in with no expectations what so ever. I got to the counter and stood there for a minute waiting for someone to let me know they were ready to take my order. Well that didn’t happen… The young girl behind the counter clearly didn’t want to be there, and I had to initiate conversation to get my order started. To keep it simple, I ordered dark roast coffee. Went to fill up my cup, and the tank of coffee ran out, so I figured I would just top it off with the medium brew. Needless to say, it was old and gross. I Didn’t even drink it. I will not be returning here, nor will I recommend this place to anyone else. This is my second two star review.

First off, this is the incorrect location. I’ve submitted the correct business address to Unilocal and we’ll see how fast that’s processed. The correct address is 1105 Pennsylvania Avenue. Anyhow, what a pleasant surprise in old little Saint Cloud! The Sweet Spot is a surprisingly urban and modern café in Saint Cloud’s miniature downtown area. It’s nicely furnished and the lighting is wonderful. No wonder though about the lighting, the whole front room is practically made out of windows. Exceedingly pleased with what they’ve done with the building this place lives in. I originally thought the food was four-star quality. Even though my check-ins may fool you, I’ve had this place’s food before. Prior to my check-in, however, it was only the sweets, and that’s where one star was knocked off. No need to reimagine the name as most of the sweets I had I was impressed with, it’s just that consistency isn’t always there. I’ve had a few drier pastries from here, but the bad certainly outweighs the good. One time I got a strawberry filled«Horn» pastry and it was delightful. The jam that filled the bread-horn was so flavorful and the horn itself was baked to perfection and flaky but not dry. I recommend that if you go in and see it as they do not have a consistent menu. Now, my first time eating in and therefore checking in was good olé Black Friday and that’s where the extra star was added. Not only was the service extremely pleasant, but from the cordial older man(the owner? Not sure) that we took our orders came and delivered a glorious hot pressed sandwich; The Havarti. You know how names that are that simple seem kind of epic because of their simplicity? No? Just me? Well, this sandwich deserves that epic«THE Havarti» title as it was party-in-my-mouth-good. The bread was oh-so buttery with some delicious Rosemary sprinkled on it, the prosciutto(I think that was it… I get that and pastrami mixed up. I know, shame) was the right amount of saltiness and flavor, and the Havarti cheese was melty and just plain ‘YES!’ And with that, I still haven’t mentioned the size of the sandwich; it was big. I mean no-sides-needed big. We’re talking bring-out-the-take-home-boxes-because-I-can’t-finish-this-big. It was worth the price of admission in every sense. Come here if you’re within a reasonable driving distance. For Saint Cloud this is probably the best local food you can get.(This might’ve gotten a 4 had it been in Winter Park as the competitiveness is palpable there.)

Went in before they were about to close for the day. Cream puff didn’t taste fresh anymore but the mad hatter muffin filled with cream was great :)

The Sweet Spot has amazing pastries and baked goods. The Danish are my favorite. The spinach feta croissant is delicious. They serve a sandwich on home made rosemary bread that is to die for. This place is such a great addition to downtown Saint Cloud. It nice to have a «real» bakery that is so convenient. You will not be disappointed.
