World Market is my jam. This location does not disappoint. It is not as busy as the Oakbrook location(luckily). I was able to find then refind an item very quickly. There are always tons of great deals, even better so if you join their club. Every dollar means points, points means coupons. Every 6th bag of coffee is free(though it may be 12. no idea really). Same thing goes for wine. Tons of unique beers and you can make a make your own 6 pack. Always a delight when we go in World Market.

I cant stand shopping on Black Friday but I’ll make an exception to come here. We’ve been going to World Market since the good old days of Cost Plus. I’ve always been a big fan of their diverse foriegn & domestic food, drink and alcohol selections. They ramp all of them up over the holidays too… another reason I’m willing to dodge the masses for this place. Every time we visit I make a B-line to the back of the store to try their coffee and tea samples, and rarely leave the store without purchasing one of them. My folks like their specialty foods too and since many are in stocking stuffer serving sizes, I can wipe out the aforementioned in one stop. Did I mention their candy section? If you have a sweet tooth. or better yet, a chocolate craving. better head in. They have plenty to offer. We’ve never bought any of their furniture but they always have a cool assortment of chairs, sofas and tables. They also have a good selction of home décor, glasses and art. During the holidays they stock oddball toys which keeps my kiddo amused for awhile. There’s a lot to like about World Market. Cheers.

Either I came at a good time, or this place is chocked full of good deals! I love World Market and I get really excited when I see one. It’s rare for me to ever pass up a chance to shop here. When I came in, I wasn’t really in a shopping mood per se and I was with my mom who thinks that anything over $ 1 is a rip-off. However, neither of these situations changed the fact that I was going to peruse every aisle. I was surprised at the amount of sale items each aisle had. I ended up buying a turquoise stone necklace and some matching earrings. They were both already marked down with an additional 30% on the sale items. I also found a really cute gift bag and matching tissue paper that ended up being around $ 1 on sale. For the same price of an ugly gift bag at Party City, I got a really cool handmade one. My favorite thing about World Market is their wordly foods and this particular location had a great selection too(although I left without picking any food related item up) My in-laws went to Italy and for Christmas, I decided to make them an Italian themed gift basket. I found about 90% of the imported items from World Market. I find that at least half of my Christmas shopping is done at World Market because you can find really unique things for anyone on your list. I also recommend signing up for their reward club. You can earn points just by providing your phone # at checkout and if you sign up for emails, you frequently receive store coupons that can be used on anything minus alcohol. The service at this particular store was great. I had a nice guy ring me up and there were even a few people ask if we needed help.

I often shop at this location and the staff is always wonderful. They have unique items at great prices. Tonight I shopped past their closing time. It was a Sunday evening, yet their cashier was so nice and genuinely grateful for my presence at the store. I needed some advice deciding on a counter height chair and the girl at the sales floor was very informative as well.

Great merchandise, great prices but bad, bad customer service. I frequent this location as it is my go-to place for home décor. However, I have not found one and I mean one helpful manager at this store. Ever. You would think you are shopping at Barney’s. Also, they change store policies on a whim.

I have been shopping here since they opened the One in Schaumburg years ago. I primarily go for the gourmet items that I can’t find anywhere else. I also am a rewards member so they email me coupons throughout the year and an e-cert on my b-day every year. They also have sales with members only pricing. The return policy is very good.

Aww yea. Talk about a place I can get lost in. While some of the stuff that they carry at World Market is a little off the wall, there are countless treasures to be found(most of the edible/drinkable kind). Last time I sauntered into World Market I was planning on purchasing a greeting card for a special someone(yes, they have a small selection of cards mostly consisting of birthday greetings) but I searched the selection to no avail. However, I knew I would not leave empty handed, well– mostly because it’s never happened before. After deciding against any of the greeting cards, my attention was shifted over to a display shelf filled with lotions on sale. I smelled a few but still resisted my urge to purchase non essentials and walked onward. I perused the furniture, some very cute and unique and reasonably priced in my opinion but passed on to the section of candy. What’s worse than a kid in a candy store? How about a 25 year old– because I can actually act on my impulses, I’ve got a shiny green debit card in my pocket. The madness ensued as I picked up some very soft licorice from Australia, some Sour Patch kids(a staple), gummy cherries, and some Halloween Pez dispensers(of which they had several… all the Disney princesses, Xmen characters, Sanrio etc) for some of the kids in my life. I also bought boxes of Halloween Dots(black blood orange flavored and little ghost dots too). My point here is that I am passionate about candy and WM has got it all. I moved on to chips where they offer a wide variety of tasty tortilla chips, kettle cooked potato chips and other yummy snacks. I’m not much of a chef but they also have a wide array of spices and other things I would imagine are for cooking. They have lots of unique drinks from other places as well. Their liquor section? Well, it’s amazing. Since turning 21 I don’t think I’ve walked in here without buying at least one thing related to alcohol. Oktoberfest party? Mini keg of Becks. Housewarming gift? Bottle of sangria. My point is, this place is ideal for hostess gifts etc(assuming that one is of age to consume). It shows a little more thought than a bottle of Sutter Home if you dig what I’m saying. I even bought a friend’s husband a little sake set once for Christmas here. My main point here is that World Market is a gem of a store, packed with interesting things that you can’t find everywhere. Although these stores are few and far between, they really offer an interesting shopping experience where you can become exposed to some amazing products from all over the world. Even if you are looking for a tiny gift or maybe some interesting seasonal candy for children, you are sure to find something unique and fun within this store. I feel so lucky that I have one so close to home. Love it and have for years!
